Good Morning
It’s 46 and only going to 52, partly cloudy with little chance of rain.

Yesterday’s trip went well, no bureaucratic issues with customs or immigration either here or in the Bahamas. This was my first trip to the Bahamas since the 1-2 punch of the hurricane and COVID. Marsh Harbour was pretty much ground zero for the hurricane damage. It was amazing to see the damaged and missing buildings.

Today I would like to run the Lazer around the house if it’s not too wet, and get the septic tank lid back filled and sodded. Other than that, I don’t have a definite plan other than grandson’s first birthday party this evening.

I don’t know how Mostly can do all those replies and comments at once. He must take notes as he reads the posts and then reply to them all. I certainly don’t have the attention span to remember all of that and make a reply, I’ve got to comment one at a time.

And Drew is right- live as healthy as you can and enjoy every day.

Good Morning!!!! 64F @ 4:45AM. Sunny. High 86F. Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph.

There are in-home hospice caregivers, too, Bill. That way she can at least have help managing her pain, and stay in comfortable, familiar surroundings. And now you know what kind of questions to ask when you're looking for the right provider.

If you're re-roofing and like the red trim, a brick red metal roof would look good with that brown siding color, Check. I've seen several homes done that way, and IMHO, it's very attractive.

What a horrible crash, Drew. The driver of that concrete truck must have been sweating bullets when he figured out his brakes were gone. On a happier note, your brother has great taste in cars. Whenever I think of Stingrays, that's the one that comes to mind.

Claussen dill pickle halves are selling for $25/bottle on Amazon! Ain't capitalism grand?

Somehow managed to get through limbing all the downed trees yesterday, adding the trunks to the growing pile. Got all the slash burned, too, a good thing because it's too windy for burning today. There's a huge pile of manzanita now, more than enough to fill the last pallet. That's what I'll work on today. But I'll start with replacing the hoses on the side-by-side's radiator, and the fan belt, too. And I'll drain the rusty water first on the gravel pad, not the driveway!

Hope everyone has a great weekend...

I agree completely with the not dying thing. When I did my hospital tour of duty after my accident, I was discharged with a PIC line for IV antibiotics for the infection that developed in my chest cavity. As my wife and daughter are both nurses, it was no real inconvenience, I wasn’t going anywhere any how. The worst part was that I was on them long enough that they wiped out the “good bugs” in my gut and I ended up with a CDIF infection. That was no fun.
But now when I look back at that whole adventure, and where I am today, I often say it sure beats being dead.

My late wife was an RN\MD for 45 years, she did all that stuff for me, but my current wife is an accountant, so she’s great at finances not so much at medical stuff.
This is my fourth major medical episode in less than two years, I’m ready for a stretch of fair winds and following seas.

Yea, but isn't your wife a hospice nurse?

L4n, prayers for you and your family.

Wngsprd, hope coco gets to feeling better.

Randy, stop scaring us like that or you will have to go on a plant based diet.

Kyle, too bad about daughter's boyfriend #1, but he was a little too eager to vacate your daughter for some seat time.

Cloudy 61˚F, had a half inch rain yesterday and misty all day today. The yard is loving it and is getting very green as the fertilizer dissolves.
Went by the garden to see hundreds of pill bugs munching on my potatoes. Got some beer for some beer traps and also some organic Sluggo to bait them.

Cows eat grass, isn’t that plant based?

37-62 today, hope these clouds clear.
My plans are walk the halls, kid with the staff, sit in the recliner, after I shower and shave. If that tires me out I might get a nap.

44F @ 11:30, calling for a high of 57F and cloudy ... but it sure looks sunny out there right now. Chance of rain around 2%. Will try to get the mowing of the front done later, once it warms up some.

Some unfamiliar birds out around the feeders this morning, not sure what all they are. Given that it's Spring, quite possibly migratory species passing through to their breeding grounds. Local Audubon Chapter up in Cleveland was on the news yesterday, promoting citizen surveys and reporting and mentioned migratory species.

Got five boxes of white worms fed yesterday, along with all fish (and cats), harvested a bunch of white worms from one box and fed them to mainly to the S. fryeri, see if I can induce the other females to spawn. By the time they were done feeding their little bellies were pretty swollen.

Front glass on a couple more tanks cleaned.

Drew more water in old milk jugs for pwcs, will need to finish that up today. Actually forgot to take softener off bypass after I did it, so was greeted with a note this morning: "Hard water this morning - please fix !"

Due to feed banana worm cultures some more yeast today, probably should start a new culture as well. Will need to make up a container.

Check bird feeders, fill if needed.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe Saturday ... (y)

This is my fourth major medical episode in less than two years . . .
Cows eat grass, isn’t that plant based?
Only for the cow.

Even they have problems when they get off their plant based diet. Ever hear of mad cow disease?
"...cattle, which are vegetarian, were fed meal containing sheep remains, passing scrapie from sheep to cows, where it evolved into a cow-specific disease."

Good morning to all! Low of 28, currently only 33, going for a high of 45. Heavy cloud cover, but no rain or snow so far.... hopefully we will get some.

L4N, sorry to hear about the hospice problems. Our prayers are with you and family.

Randy, take care.... not too much kidding with the nurses! Hope you get freed soon!

WNG, I hope that CoCo gets to feeling better .... give her a few scratches for me!

Kyle, nice guitar! Hope your daughter enjoys it! I just love the sound of a 12 string. My son has 2, I just wish he would play them for us more often.

Errands went well yesterday, then turned on the drip irrigation system and got most of the zones watered a little bit. Only one problem.... my timer alarm went off and it was supposed to be the last zone for the day.... at the same time, my son came over and got me sidetracked.....

I realized this morning that I left the drip on all night.... 15 hours! My guess is that zone got a very good drink.... my guesstimate is about 400 gallons.... I think I need to invest in a fully automated system....

We ordered a small greenhouse for the wifey, should be delivered today via FedEx. I will probably start on the foundation for it today, if I can get son assistance from the sons. I can supervise and work the level...

Everyone have a great day!
