Don't forget you get free tech support with an Apple iPhone, so don't be afraid to use it. It's better than most, the Genius you speak with will either be able to answer your question or get you to someone who will, and you won't spend all day on hold getting run around in circles.

1 (800) 692-7753‬

You'll get an automated service when you call, so just say something like "I need technical support on my new iPhone" to get you over to a real person.

If you're in a major metro area, you can also make an appointment at the Genius Bar, and get help in person. I even had a hardware update done at one in Sacramento a couple years ago, while I waited.

I used to think that too, Thomas, then I woke up one day and found I was old, and am rapidly running out of tomorrows...
Never think that way! I'm 71...figure I'm gonna make it to 100, at least!
So, if I drop dead tomorrow, at least it'll be unexpected!!
;)

remember when it was a big deal when we went from VGA to Super VGA?...
And many of us are old enough to remember those horrible first/second gen green print monitors.
When just getting a really sharp high contrast monochrome picture was as good as it got.
and now I'm at 3840/2160 which I think translates to 4k.

43 with snow showers and windy, feels like February. Nice warm up starts Sunday. Took the old sofa to the dump, filled up the Ram, ouch! Brought the trailer home and went to renew my dump sticker, which I discovered had expired about the time I was pulling up to the dumpster. Thankfully the attendant didn’t even look at it. When I got to the office, they were closed for Good Friday.
Got my errands done and had lunch, now I’m watching Live and Let Die, Roger Moore’s first Bond movie. An hour in and he’s already bedded three women, killed two bad guys and escaped certain death 4-5 times.

I’m thinking a nap might be involved soon.

You guys were worrying about potatoes freezing, I’ve planted them in February here and December in NC. If they aren’t blooming it generally won’t hurt them to freeze so long as it’s not below freezing day and night for 3-4 days, at least that’s been my experience. They will sometimes die down to ground level, but they will come back.

No doubt a near death experience puts things in a different perspective, Rich. In the same way, as I get older and more experienced, I find myself less tolerant of ignorant people doing things that experience has shown me are unwise, especially when those actions negatively impact my quality of life and waste my time. The icing on the cake is when those folks won't listen when advised as to how they can avoid those problems in the future. One of the nicest things about being retired is being able, in some situations at least, to just turn my back on 'em a and let 'em stew in their own juice.

????? Isn’t that normal for us? I can’t imagine being any other way 🤭

potato plants can sure look nasty. First you likely freeze them and they look awful like you just know you've killed them. But sure enough in two weeks the green is poking back through the rotted guck on top. And then we have to wait until they look extra nasty/mostly dead until we dig the potatoes. But there is a short time when lines of taters are in bloom that they too can strut their stuff. My understanding is when the blooms come out the potato is starting to form.

I haven't met them yet but my next door neighbor has two young kids who play outside a lot and I'm thinking maybe beginning of July they
might like to dig up some potatoes. Most folks have never done it and it's really fun.

finished making a batch of blueberry muffins. Waiting for them to cool off to have a final cup of coffee and a warm muffin.
