68F, partly cloudy, and very breezy @ 14:00. High may hit 71F. Hasn't rained yet but it seems like showers are on their way in.

Was a little house wren peeking over the window frame when I put my coffee into the micro a while ago.

Took over a few shipping tubes to friend yesterday, got to test out his new 15" Evolution Cold Saw on a piece of 1/2" black pipe I had picked up at Menards for a pair of bar clamps. It's very nice with quick, square, clean cuts and nice angle clamp/vise set up ... but then for $500 it ought to be.

Picked up the old golf cart tires and rims while I was there, along with a few others. At least two of the four tires looked pretty decent - they are Carlise 18 x 8.50-8 and are the exact size used on the tow-behind vacuum unit I want to build ... (y)

Got seven boxes of cat litter moved into the garage, three taken around back and into the basement.

Went up to clean up that one bucketload of grass clippings and work it into the compost pile and went around to the other side and realized there was a whole lot more grass clippings that I forgot were there. So spent a couple of hours and got most of those worked into the pile and buried. Rain not due until late tomorrow afternoon at this point ... so I'll try and get those finished up here in a little bit.

Probably need to refuel the Kubota after I finish.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

Good morning to all! Well the snow didn't materialize overnight.... just delayed, now expecting it this afternoon. We had some strong winds overnight with just a little snow which is plastered on the east facing vertical surfaces... strange looking.

Still windy/gusty and cold... finally reached 32°

Drew, I hope there isn't anything too serious with the shoulder.... another complicated joint.

Wing, I am envious of you being able to get out on the tractor.... (y)

David, always good to take care of your lady! Glad you guys had an enjoyable dinner.

As per the Dr's recommendations, I got some 20-30 mm/Hg compression stockings to help with the lower leg edema. I am hoping they will help. They actually feel pretty good so far.... Really tight to get on and off.... who needs PT after putting them on, you get a good workout just doing that!

Everyone have a great day!

I’ve been wearing compression socks for 13 months, took the edema away in 2-3 days, amazing things. I wore my first pair of regular socks last night to the meeting. But I’ll only wear the compression socks for daily use.

The Wife has been getting a bunch of phone calls and emails, allegedly from SiriusXM, regarding an overdue amount of $247.51. This prompted me to check our account a couple weekends ago and find that they hadn't cancelled a radio we no longer have. With no small amount of aggravation, I got the radio issue straightened out. The phone calls and emails persisted, however, and we even got a letter in the mail a couple of days ago. So, I called SiriusXM today. What a treat that was. They have an endless maze of phone computer options, none of which involve talking with a human being. After several attempts at using the old standby of saying nothing in the hopes it would connect me with a real person, I finally found that pressing zero enough times will get you there. "Ann" (who sounded like a stereotypical operator from Minnesota) turned out to be very helpful in both confirming that we have a zero balance due, and escalating the complaint to higher ups for investigation since it appears someone got access to all of our account information.

Technology is wonderful, no?
When the Mrs. cancel XM end of last year lady on the phone try her best not to have account discontinue even made much lower offer,Mrs. ask why didn't you offer the lower discount sooner, lot of hmmm and hawing,Mrs. said cancel.

Guess when you corner such company they will start to talk, shouldn't have to pry it out of them.

I threatened to cancel service about five years ago, I now pay $5.99 month. If it ever increases I’ll cancel it and just Bluetooth Pandora.

I tried to cancel one of our radios last year when I had to scrap that car, and my new car doesn't have satellite radio. I thought that was done until I logged into the account about a week-and-a-half ago only to find that radio was still listed as active ... a year later. My chat conversation took over half an hour, and most of that was time the person on the other end spent trying to entice me into a "better" deal to keep it. I've had about three run-ins with SiriusXM since we got a subscription in 2012, and none of them have been what I consider "customer friendly." Today, I had to call them four different times before I could reach a human.

As much as I like the service they provide, I absolutely hate dealing with them. Maybe I could convince Elon Musk to use his new satellites for a music service, too. SiriusXM needs some competition.

61 in heavy fog in Markham VA. Elevation is 1200 feet here and fog is fairly common.
Drove in light rain most of the way but it was ok.
Waiting for brother's son to come home later this afternoon and we will pack my car up with the last of my boxes. With my shoulder out of wack, my carrying capacity is really limited, can't raise left arm above waist high. I think I need a full overhaul...;)

Flood warning at home in PA, heavy rains there, going to get muddy. At least it watered my potatoes and flower planters. Yes, Popgadget you would have gotten soaked out in this.

The Park cedar tree I was cutting out of the oak tree did not want to come down. Luckily the big blue tractor with grapple was available to yank it out of the tree, and haul it to the burn pile.

Then we went to the playground area to clear the cedars and underbrush so the rattlesnakes could not hide from the kids when they come next month.

New mower got the grass cut in dogs’ area.

Practically rebuilt my David VP2 weather station. Unmounted and completely disassembled and cleaned. Tune up kit included new anemometer parts, rain spoon tipper, battery, solar panel cover.
Only the transmitter board/case and temp/ humidity sensor electronics not replaced. I even painted the case to look better with the new cover. While I got a great appreciation for the unit and it’s construction, I also realized this must be a very profitable item.
The good news is it worked when powered up. 🤙
