35° sunny and rather breezy. My weather station behind the house is shielded and does not give a good wind indication.

Wife got me up at 9 to give the cat it’s medicine, I hold the cat and she squirts it down his throat. This one not as bad as others we’ve had to do.

been working on gleaning info from some 2000 historical records online, of the development of my county and hometown in Ohio in early 1800s. The founder fought in revolutionary war, war of 1812, kept copies of his letters. He was a colonial, from VA. Had brother in rockbridge co va, his dad was sheriff of botetourt co in va. He was on a bank board, corresponded with high ups in government in DC. Was major land speculator. His family all had slaves as did almost everyone in the south. Very interesting records and glimpse of life in that timeframe.
He was also a surveyor. He also influenced the building of the Cumberland road. A summary of his letters are at William and Mary with some pdf of some of them.

I qualify for 1c essential, but the cvs signup does not show that as a reason.
The classifications may vary from state to state and change from day to day. For example In Texas teachers and day care workers were just added to 1-B, 2 months after 1-B opened without them.

I for one cannot see the bottom line where our tractor info used to be.
And my avatar that my BIL drew for me still looks like a tractor mated with a Segway
Maybe it's just my bad eyes, but it looks to me that your avatar is a guy in a baseball hat mated to a pair of loader arms on a tractor, sort of like a Minotaur. The old avatar was too small to show that detail...

Good morning to all! Low was 23 at 6 am. Going up to mid 50s today. Supposedly no wind.... we'll see.... no precipitation possible until next Thursday.

Bird, sorry to hear about your memory issues. Donepezil has been around for quite a while, mostly good results. Hope the combo helps you out. Prayers sent!

Buppies, prayers and good luck sent your way too!

Speaking about the PO.... I ordered 2 chains for the chainsaw about a week ago. The USPS tracking showed a shipping label was created, then item was received, then the next day, reported "awaiting item", then "item received", then back to "label was created" the following day..... this was the day before the "estimated delivery date" .... the next day they arrived..... they can't even keep track of what they are doing.....

I have been taking it easy for the last few days, swelling way down, but pain/discomfort up. PT finally starts on Monday. Hopefully it helps.
Sleeping is hit or miss.... got up at 2:30 last night... no wonder I'm falling asleep mid-day....

Good news is that I think I can work the clutch on the tractor! It seemed harder to get up onto the tractor than push in the clutch. Not going to try and use it just yet, but merely satisfying my curiosity....

When the sons are available today, I am hoping to get the materials I picked up off the trailer and stacked in the shed.

The only other thing planned is to trim up some low branches on a willow tree. Not sure if I /we will get to it.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Good Morning!!!! 45F @ 8:30AM. Partly cloudy. High 62F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.
I was surprised to see .34" of rain on the gauge this morning; I didn't hear a thing when it was coming down at 1AM. 😄 The rest of this weekend's rain has been replaced with gusting winds and overcast skies. Monday-Wednesday looks like more rain, but less than 3/4", and Thursday's rain has gone AWOL. Sun for the rest of the 10-day.

Good to hear you're milking that knee surgery for all it's worth, Ted. But if you keep progressing like you are, no one's gonna feel sorry for you any longer and you'll be stuck with all that work you're missing again...:ROFLMAO:

Made some good progress on the gate opener yesterday, but it got dark before I could finish. The adapter for the opener is on and working, but needs a coat of paint, and the control box is mounted, this time on the gate itself because I haven't gotten around to replacing the fence that burned down. The battery is back in its box and it's hooked up using a new, longer lead, but the controller wants to see a pair of photo eye sensors before it'll drive the opener arm. I'm reluctant to install the safety eyes because one end of each link runs off a AA battery, and I can envision the gate refusing to work when one of those batteries dies. So while it's blustery and overcast outside today, I'll see if I can spoof that circuit somehow and leave them off.

Might fire up TurboTax this morning and start entering data, but then again I might just go back to sleep...

Hope everyone has a fun weekend!

Thanks Ron, and you, too, Don. I remember Harvey saying that he had the beginning of Alzheimer's and just wondered how he and Glenda are doing. I've been having some serious memory problems myself now for a year or so, and I saw a new doctor a couple of weeks ago. He told me he only knows of 2 medication combinations that can help slow the process, but not reverse it. I think this doctor knows what he's doing. So anyway, he prescribed Memantine 10 mg twice a day and Donepezil 10 mg at bedtime. Look those up and you'll see where I am probably.

Prayers Bird.

Wasnt getting any emails today, then noticed the last one was from my hosting service that said it expired yesterday. Thought it was due next month and on auto renewal, but my mistake. Domain name registration is due next month.
I pay for my own domain name, and web and email hosting. I only use the mail service, don’t host any web sites but could.

Wife and son on separate trips to town. I’m still looking at history.

Great looking shop Rick

There's not normally a clear path down the middle but .. I rented a man lift to install the fixtures. They're 16' above the shop floor and hanging on chains.

Could'a saved a bunch standing on the top of an 8' step ladder. Would'a just reached!

Just kidding, that was money well spent. 🤣

Now what else are you gonna use that lift for before you take it back on Monday?

Good morning. It's 51° here this morning with a 9 mph NE wind. We should get to 67° this afternoon.

I did get two more brush piles burned Wednesday a.m. while we had no wind.

They were about 100 yards apart to easy to monitor both but I still offset lighting by about 30 minutes.

We had a few drying days so I'll attempt to extract a tree I took down about ten days ago.

It's in an area ..that drains about 4-5 acre as of our front yard so I'm trying to avoid making large ruts.

I ordered two more 8' fixtures with 4 LED Tubes for the shop and they were delivered a couple of days ago. They match the five fixtures that run the length of the center of the shop and will be installed on the left side .. in the picture.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Prayers to all.
Beautiful workshop! Can't wait for the other farm to sell so I can build mine before I get too old. There has been the odd offer which is promising.

I used the man lift when I installed the lights last year. For the two fixtures I'll just need 10' step ladder and my rolling ladder. They'll hang from beams (purlins) about 12' above the shop floor.
