Good morning!!!!

Good Afternoon!!!! 60F @ 3:45PM. Mainly clear skies. Low 43F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph.

Oh boy, "upgrades". We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. Time to stumble around looking for where everything is again.

Usta be I could click the Forums at the top of the page and get to a page that showed all the threads I'd subscribed to. I think it was called My Home. That seems to be gone now, so I had to dig down to the Rural Living forum, then find GM. There's a new Watched drop down at the top of the page, and it lists every thread I have a subscription to. But the links on that page take me to the first page, not to the last page I've viewed. Big PITA.(n)(n)(n)

There's no list of page numbers at the bottom of the page, so once you've finished reading a page, you have to scroll all the way back up to the top to get to the next one.(n)

Another casualty seems to be the emojis, now hidden behind the middle stacked dots symbol in the tool bar. All of our funky little TBN emojis have left the building, replaced with something that appears hijacked from Facebook.(n)

The menu on the left hand side sure wastes a lot of space.(n)

Let's try and post an image:

Hey, that worked, and you get a decent size picture instead of a thumbnail.(y)

FYI, there's a thread Muhammad started where people are posting comments regarding the new look...

And it looks like inserting a link still works.(y)

Still got some daylight left, so I need to get going. Write to you all some more in the morning...

Welcome back. TBN just came back for me, and people have posted 2 hrs ago.

41° more rain tonight.

He said the app would look the same, and so far it is, with addition of the like button.

Yeah, that is awful! Plus I used to go to the last read post in any thread.... now it takes me to the first page too! Again, a big PIA!

No mostly more cancer, thanks for asking sorry about fridge hope new one is a winner

RNG, Sodamo, you both show how incredibly expensive the capital costs are for a regular home when there is no reliable grid supply.

We only have solar panels for making hot water, all electric comes from the grid.
Our total electric consumption for the last year was 6,219 kWHr, which cost us 893 pounds (about $1,250).

How does that compare with others ?
Our bill averages about $250/month, we are all electric.
39°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 55° today. We hit 65° yesterday with full sun, and I still have some areas in near the driveway with 5-6" of snow. We'll cool down a bit tonight and tomorrow, but then back up near 60° by Saturday. I'm OK with that.

Wife and I had another talk last night about the possibility of moving out of Illinois. It's an idea that gets a little discussion now and again. This one got a little more serious, though, and even involved calling the boys. She called the oldest one in San Marcos to talk about the best areas of Texas to consider, then called the youngest one to ask if he might be interested in moving there as well (he is). I guess it's time to start looking in ernest at property for sale in central Texas.

That turned out to be a long conversation, and the only other things I got accomplished were taking the trash can out to the road and washing some eggs.

Some really great discussions here about energy. Nice to have such a knowledge base.
Let me know if you have any questions. It is a big state. Waco and Temple area have decent amounts of industry, but their pay scale has not been the best. But a good QC man can sometimes find a niche.
Had numerous skin cancers from 10 stitches to over 150. This one will wait on biopsy but by tone of doctor I would say another one

RNG they keep finding areas never the same

LS getting staples out a nice milestone sorry some lenders do not get it
Prayers for you, my friend. My friend has used about 3 of the very small tubes of cream. He has found a pharmacy somewhere that sells them reasonable with prescription.
Good evening. It hit 60 briefly today. A significant amount of the white stuff is gone! Other than tomorrow, more days of warmer temps n 5he next 10 day forecast.

Made hotel arrangements for GA and FL to catch the start of the racing season. Used some frequent stay points that got me rooms for free. We are getting unique hats and shirts for the crew this season.

Everyone stay safe out there
I plan on watching Daytona and Volusia, if not too pricey.
Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers another squamous cell cancer waiting on date for removal

Interesting Alien I need to try something
I have a few spots I need to go get checked. Hope you get it all removed. Prayers.
Good evening! 75˚F cloudy. That second Moderna shot on the second day has me down today, 99.9 fever and just feel lousy. Hope to bounce back by tomorrow

Edit (from phone) seeing if I can add pics.

2nd edit from pc - nope pic not working
I'm hearing that's normal Don. Hope you get feeling better. Keep us posted.

It's been a while.

I started back at work on Tuesday. Feel pretty good. Just only have about 80% energy, and still have coughing fits. The last person in our immediate family (my middle daughter) now has it. We won't bother getting her tested, she doesn't need paperwork since she's home schooled. Lost her taste/smell about 2 days ago. The rest of us are pretty much back to normal. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts.

Speedaire update: I caught Don's cousin at his engine shop and had him hone the pump's cylinder bores. I hope to finish putting it back together tonight/tomorrow.

bought a 500gb SSD to stick in the new refurbished computer. Bought 2, 64gb thumbdrives and a netgear wifi adapter usb key. I need to move the win 10 os from the old drive to the SSD. the refurbished does not come with a boot disk.

New TBN, will have to get used to it. Need to find out how to load more than 10 replies per page.
