Poured first cup of coffee. 33° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 36° with cloudy skies. 34° change from yesterday morning. First temperatures above freezing in almost a month. Got about 2" of new snow overnight. Need to get new tube for tractor front tire this morning. Then I can clean up. May melt before I get that done. No other plans. Just checked. TSC want $30 for a 23X8.50-12 tube.
Is that someone coming up the drive.

Mostly, I have found my old car and tractor pictures. They are on a separate pile that I have not scanned yet.

Kyle, prayers your family keeps getting better.

Don, sorry garden got hit bad by cold. I have been getting Sweet Kale salad kits from Sams Club. Not bad. Like the South West kit better. There were none of the Kale kits in store last Friday.

Rich, spending kids inheritance is a good way to enjoy retirement. That's why I bought the Mule. :dance1:

RNG, hope tractor sale gets done.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Morning! 43 right now. Looking for it to get in the 60s today and rain again. Yesterday was a beauty. Gonna finish getting my winch mounted and go find a toolbox that will fit the front of my trailer.

good Monday morning all.
26 going up to mid 30's today and snow returns, 3-5 inches and likely a wet mess again.

Pasta last night, finished up last of home made stew, likely a pizza tonight.

I ground up raw kale to put into a smoothie, didn't get it ground up enough, terrible mix of little chewy bits.
Next time, I cook it soft like spinach.

Off this morning at 9am to drop off paperwork at accountant's office, then home before it starts to snow at 10am.

no slips
no falls

I missed Popgadget when I dropped off his muffins yesterday, hopefully he is starting his day off today with a cup of coffee and a
nice blueberry apple muffin. I gave all mine away... but considering my increasing waist line, good idea.

I have a Ring doorbell and last night it went off to notify us of a power outage 3 miles from us. I checked the utilities co. outage map and the alert was correct. 12000 houses without electricity. A transfer station part went bad. All the other outages we had last week we had no alerts. Has anyone received power outage alerts on their Ring doorbell?

I do not get that type of notification. You can turn that setting off if you do not want it in Control Center.

30 outside this AM. Heading to lower 40's. Supposed to have 1 to 3 inches of snow, today?

Had a fox going nuts outside last night. Wife was banging pots and pans trying to get it to move along. Yeah....I got up and took a peek with the night scope just to get it's whereabouts...too many bushes. LOL. Dang privets. Kind of worried now, thinking maybe we have rabies in the area. Never did get a call back from the county on the skunk.
Anyway, the fox was too close but moved along.

More barn work today. Wife also wants another run-in shed for the newest horses and pasture. Ugh...No way am I paying some prices she showed me. Looks like it is back to carpentry work in a few days. LOL.

Hope all get healthier, or stay healthy. Have a good start to the work week. Be safe...and hug a loved one.

Pizza night, tonight....contest everyone? Pics in the AM for the best smelling one. LOL.

Those ping times are.....not good. All that effort you are putting in is amazing. I hope Starlink works out for you. And me....and anyone fighting signals and ISP's.

...
I am pleased with my reconfigured basic network. I think AT&T may have tweaked the tower.

31 and the snow forecast was changed to rain as it gets up to 42. TV Weatherman just promised 64 Wednesday (pretty sure I saw his fingers crossed, though).

Thanks, Don. I thought you had probably done some reading on this.

Was out walking around this morning and surprised to see the ground is not frozen, but still many patches of snow and ice...many skunk digs. I guess we won't have a single Japanese beetle this year...or is it about time for the 17 year cicada again?

Cleaned up some branches along the woods trail yesterday, many more to do from the ice storm.

Happy George Washington Birthday! Father of a great country!

Mike, a new run in shed sounds like a nice project, make it exactly the way you want it.
Cost of lumber now is eyeopening. Wonder if a premade shed from the Amish might be a good solution, or perhaps that's what
your wife already showed you. Need to find someone with existing stockpile of wood from over a year ago...
How many horses are going to fit under this thing?

Don't forget to run wifi to it and power so you can have a tv on to entertain the critters.

Billy, those big bugs are coming in May.
Cicadas to reemerge in US for first time in 17 years
I wonder how many cats and dogs eat these things and then wish they hadn't? I believe in Africa they barbecue and eat them.

and if you are really adventurous.......
Barbecued: Place about a dozen locusts on a skewer, stabbing each through the centre of the abdomen. If you only want to eat the abdomen, then you may want to take off the legs or wings either before or after cooking. Several skewers may be required for each person.
