Had a good visit with neighbor. Stocked me up with enough sweets until next year. His cancer is under control at this time.
Good visit with son and family. He looked good. But still has some loss of feeling in hands. Good to visit with them after several months. Missed hitting a deer by about 6" on the way home.
New neighbor across street gets his Christmas present tomorrow. A Kubota BX23S. I offered to let him keep it in my barn. Because his barn is already full.

I sit here thinking about all the good and bad things that have happened to our GOOD MORNING crew since last Christmas. Makes me think how Blessed we are. That we can be here today and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I hope everyone got what they wanted. There’s stuff under the tree but my best gifts can’t be bought, my wife, kids, grandkids, still have my mom, not sure for how long, and all my friends, plus decent health

Good morning! MERRY CHRISTMAS! 32˚F heading to the mid 60s clear skies.

Mostly, we only had to go by 2 stores, Duluth for my gifts (Winter clothes, because in Texas it's never cold you just aren't wearing the right clothes) and Office Depot for the wife's gifts (#2 pencils and an electric sharper and assorted office stuff). I did treat myself to an Amy's Jalapeño pretzel (steaming hot special made - no butter) in the outdoor outlet mall next to Duluths. There were no shortage of Christmas shoppers, some stores even had people lined up, one 100 deep outside their door. Everyone had mask but the lines did not have social distancing. Traffic was heavy. People did not let the pandemic scare them, of course we were probably the oldest people out there. Many Amazon trucks were zipping around through traffic trying to deliver all the last minute presents.

Candlelight Service went well last night, violins and bells added to the Christmas carols. It was a little awkward when it came to blowing out the candles at the end people weren't sure how to do it with a mask.

Whipper loves Christmas, The golf courses are closed to golfers but open for walkers and their dogs and today is a picture perfect Texas Christmas Day, lot's of sun, up to the 60s, no wind.

52 and raining...
High in the mid-50's and more rain...bummer...rather have snow...

Wifey, Stepdaughter and I sat around the dining room table...they were drinking brandy, I was drinking beer with the occasional shot of Jameson's...listening to a variety of music (no Christmas carols though)....laughing and giggling. A nice evening!!
No plans today, of course...just celebrate the day

Wow, definitely odd weather. It was 28 yesterday with a high of 32°. And very windy. Today it's 25° currently but very little breeze.

built a small bookshelf for the kitchen this morning, mainly to keep cases of water and Snapple off the floor.
Almost built it from scratch but wanted it white and didn't feel like doing multiple coats of paint without any spray equipment.
So easier and likely not much more expensive to get the kit from Thailand. I used wood glue on as many joints as I could, should help
keep it a little sturdier.

Brother called and said he was bringing grandchildren too when he and wife came over in half an hour.
Oh dear. Another round of cleaning and dusting and sanitizing and now to rest.
