Sorry Don, started spitting rain. maybe a Yankee thing, grew up (Maine) saying it.

Too many people here spit tabackee, so it's never used to describe pure rain.:confused3:

 unit is in the house! ..... wifey had not seen any of the build progress or finishing.... she was very happy with the result! Here is a pic.

Beautiful ... I can imagine she was pleased ...

RS, this is the filler that I use. The white oak. There are a few different types, red oak, pine, walnut, maple, etc... It is made from actual wood and takes the stain to match. Dries very hard, but sands easy. I usually get it from Home Depot (in stock), but is available online.

Thanks.

Checking the HD site from here, it shows 6-paks only ... but not available in the store or through ordering online ... :(

It almost sounds like the brand (Parks) was acquired by Rustoleum ... so maybe they are offering it under another brand ... :confused3:

We grew up using to describe a very light rain, one that you could often feel but not see.

Wish it was "only spitting" here Sodamo, we say that too for light rain.

Rain is pouring down, I can hear it pounding on on the roof, throwing itself against the windows and gushing through the downpipes. The sheep are right next to the house, I can see 3/4 of the field from an upstairs window so it is very tempting to stay inside, however there can be no doubt that the troublemakers will be hiding in the other 1/4, one of them already having been nominated to expire if I give in to the temptation to stay dry and not go out to check them over.

LS, making a desk for your grandson sounds a great next project. How about building in a secret compartment that only you two know about ?

Kyle, you must still be grinning, great to see the moment your Steiner come back to life. Well done !

Morning all! 26 here going to a partly sunny 53.
Sorry for you and your neighbor's loss Roy.
David: Spitting rain or spitting snow very common here.
Looks like a cold and damp week ahead with night time temps dropping into the high teens later in the week. I still need to do at least one more round of leaf pickup. Hopefully after that will get everything put into the garage and parked for the winter.
Brick paving job coming along nicely but I think it is done till spring. Added at least 30 more feet so it should help with the snow plowing.
Will keep the pellet stove full and burning this week and do a few inside jobs but mostly it looks like a great week to putter around.
We went for our monthly shopping yesterday and the stores were all packed with people and stripped of paper products. Couldn't find a lot of the items on our list either. We went to 5 different stores in 2 states.(It's nice living on the border between MA. and NH. Wish it was on the NH. side though.)
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Good morning, the temperature is 33ーF and going to 43. Wind ESE 19 gusting to 24 mph. Rain at times heavy, maybe snow.

Gotta jam some more firewood in the basement today. That is all I am doing.

My new Lock-n-lube fitting came yesterday do now I can properly grease the loader and ho.

We grew up using to describe a very light rain, one that you could often feel but not see.
We call it 'Scotch mist'.

Have a safe day all
