Yeah, no ... can't say that I do.

Just walking down the detergent/cleaning products aisle in the grocery store makes me want to gag ...

Fortunately, I probably won't have to smell them ... much ... ;)

Quite a breeze this morning, it is whipping around the corner where I am brick bashing today. Need to sort out some warmer gloves than those I had on yesterday.

Ron, plinking with your new Ruger Wrangler looks like it will be great fun. Shoot a few for me, something I can never do again, our "meltdown" laws melted all legal handguns, regardless of construction material.

Bet once mother nature starts with her paint brush those mountain are thing of beauty.
I would like to see that too Thomas, just hope that nature can get hold of the right tools, around here a Covid decorating boom has made paint brushes now more scarce than toilet paper.

L4N, that will be quite a way to customise your truck !

"then napped only .5 hour today"
Mostly, I hesitate to make a short sleep suggestion to a master napper, but I can't help thinking you are missing out by napping in decimals. Far more refreshing to take 30 entire minutes than that measly 0.5 hour :)

good morning all. On and off showers today, cloudy, then heavier rain tonight as remnants of TS Beta push through.
Then things warm up for four days, highs in low 80's, back on comes the a/c.

Drew hope the baby steps work for you,
Me too, thanks. One unexpected benefit of reducing meat intake and greatly increasing fiber is for the first time
in years, no need for laxatives. Bordering on TMI...as someone with hemorrhoids, and only pooping every two or three days, now a daily affair with zero pain. What a nice side benefit...

not much planned for today, need to do some research on a variety of things I need once I get to PA, vacuum cleaner, etc etc. And I had a really nice Miele...sigh.
Landscaper got back to me and quoted 70 bucks a week to do the lawn, will do leaf pickup and snowplowing too. As much as I enjoy the machinery involved for near future hiring this out
makes more sense to me. If I feel good in the Spring, will likely buy another riding lawn mower, either a JD or Husky. My biggest issue is I really need power steering and that doubles the cost of a mower.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 48° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with lots of sun. I did get a couple of small projects done yesterday. Both of them sealing up old vents into cellar. Still have one more to do. Grocery shopping this morning. Then visit on of the local Cider Mill for some fresh cider.
Finally found where the fruit flies were coming from. A small bag of potatoes had dropped down behind a bin under kitchen sink. Everything rotted in bag. Took everything out from under and thoroughly cleaned.
It is always fun watching squirrels trying to figure out a way to get at bird feeders.

Roy, I had to look up the Mark VI lite. Over a pound lighter than my Target Stainless Steel. One of the reasons for buying the Wrangler. Thought I would go with my son to range this weekend. Nope him and his wife are celebrating their anniversary with a week long trip. I laugh about this. They got married in June.

Drew, good planning on lawn care.

Mostly, always seem if I get more than a 1/2 hour nap I do not sleep well that night. Wrangler is 22LR.

David, thanks for the clarification. Numbers did show up well on my iPad. Opened on desktop. I can read it now.

workinonit, :welcome: to GM thread.

RS, I see lots of weeding next year. 11% for another week.

LS, same place I got my top link stuff from.

Everyone be healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Maybe we can invent a way to use them

We collect a 3 or 4 buckets full and use a hand full to start fires in the fireplace. They work pretty good.

Pinecones are excellent fire starters. In the 2016 Saddle Fire, cones from flaming roadside pines dropped from the trees, rolled off the shoulder, and set the opposite side of the canyon on fire. By nightfall, the fire had spotted across to my side, and a pair of firemen and their engine and I sat up all night waiting for a firefight that never came. A bench of bare rock below my home stopped them before they got to us.

we collected pine cones one Fall and my wife dipped them in colored melted wax, not only made great firestarters but flames looked nice

That reminds me of a time I was in a shooting class, think we were using 9 mm berettas. They showed us how to take it apart to clean. One of the guys put his back together and dry fired it, and the whole gun fell apart. a real Barney Fife.
