I had one of those portable a/c units in the woodshop in my barn. At issue is the exhaust hose and where to exhaust the hot air; likely have to cut holes somewhere and want to avoid that. Alternative is small swamp cooler. Already have 13.5 unit on roof with ducts, thinking of ways to supplement that. Also have to be careful with only 30 amp
service. What I did do is order covers for front windshield and insulated inside covers for vent fans.

If I were you, I'd start at Harper's Ferry, then north on Route 15 and stop at Antietam...then north again on 15 and tour Gettysburg.
When we went, we lived in York PA, hit Gettysburg first, then south on 15 to Antietam, then to Harper's Ferry

Antietam is the one I’ve visited the least, even though it is close also.

The union sure took a long route to Gettysburg.

I love Harper’s Ferry, haven’t been in two plus years though. We did exactly what you said, worked our way up to Gettysburg.

My weather station has us with 99° and 67% humidity, that would mean a heat index of 128! Local airport which is a quarter mile away says 96° heat index 118. Either way it’s hot!

Never been Gettysburg BEF thanks for pictures

We both commented this morning how nice it was to just go on a drive. Nothing was planned, except getting ice cream. Took some different roads. The stop at pen mar and high rock were spur of the moment. We had talked of eating at a place we like in Mt Holly Springs, but the delay caused us to try the pizza place in Gettysburg that we kept hearing was good, and it was.
The picture of me in the TBN hat was near the eternal peace flame, overlooking Gettysburg college. The observation tower was closed only could go up a couple steps. Last year we parked here to watch fireworks on the 4th.
