Ace proved a disappointment again. I did 2 online orders on 5 May.
300 lbs of pool sand for pool filter and 30 bags of Miracle Gro garden soil at a better piece than I could get locally. Pick up at local store 5/25. Not a big deal as I couldn’t get locally at either HD or our new TSC. Email said I’d get email when ready. Credit card tapped immediately. Not surprised not to get notified Monday being Memorial Day, but emailed them Tue. This morning I got a call re the garden soil. Not only not available, but warehouse was not expecting for at least 6 weeks if then. My choice to go online and cancel or just wait. Grrrrrrr. Asked about sand order, yes, it was there and I could pick up. Started to complain, but realized it was not right person to vent at, she was just the messenger, polite too.

Checked HD website and they had 280 bags of their Kellogg brand in stock, 3cuft vs 1.5 and a better price. Loaded my empty beer kegs into truck, grabbed wife and went.

Loaded up 15 bags of the Kellogg including 2 with holes, which they discounted. That left 3 broken bags in sight. I think rest was sold already as it was cordoned off with name tags. WOW, didn’t last long.

Picked up my sand at Ace, shared ice cream with wife at Baskin Robbins, quick run to Safeway, replaced my 2 gal kegs at brewery and came home. Must have turned wrong loading truck, back is killing me. Hope I can unload it tomorrow.

Good morning.

Woke up early enough to see the sun starting to float above the horizon but unlike Ron, I couldn't find enough energy at that time of day to compose a picture and opted instead to go back to sleep.

Woke up next time to the sound of barking. Yesterday I had powered up my old Android phone to retrieve some info, decided it needed charging after 4 months of inactivity and forgot about it until the alarm had kicked back in this morning, just 8' from where Max was sleeping. Sorry Max ! He had no inclination for taking pictures either, even though the phone was left unlocked.

Don, good to hear Amazon are taking responsibility for their choice of suppliers.

Mostly, coincidence you talked about fitting new fly line, I have one due for delivery today. Long story, will tell it later.

Tench are powerful fish, once they get over a few lb they put a good bend in a rod and can take some time to bring to the net. I have never felt hungry enough to kill one, in years gone by they used to be considered good eating.
Maybe when the next pandemic arrives ...

Take it easy Drew.

I’m guessing EGO still took the money from the non authorized dealer.

Never know...these might have been factory rejects sold to a recycler who, in turn, sold them to the seller.
Amazon is pretty good at monitoring their 3rd party retailers, but I'm sure a bad apple gets through now and than...

74 and raining going to 83. Dreary and humid outside, but got all the bird feeders hung again and filled. Chipmunks are already out in the rain.

Eric, I read about tench and coarse fishing. Sounds like a nice time. Is Julie's arm completely healed?

Worked on paperwork a good part of the day, but did slip in a couple hours of mowing before this multi-day rain got here. My wife got here first deerfly bite of the year, so time to go
a-hunting with the dollar store butterfly net.

Good morning! 63 now and raining pretty steady. Supposed to get to 80 today, cool off and dry this weekend.

Last workday this week. Another long weekend. Need to mow, planning on going to the first race of the season in Ohio Saturday night. Rider I help has me listed as 兎ssential crew with the track so I can get in. Wife says she is going with me. She has never attended a race before.

Get well Drew.

Everyone stay safe out there!

Its real, the serial number was confirmed by EGO to be valid. The receipt given to them was real also just not an "authorized seller", so they had an excuse not to honor the warranty. Amazon did come through (after a long chat, two operators and a supervisor) and will refund the amount of the battery after communication with the seller failed.

Ego basically said it the responsibility of the buyer to buy from an authorized seller and planned on not taking any action on the seller, because as they say there are just too many of them. So I suggest before buying a replacement battery go to the EGO website and find a dealer close to you through EGO's search engine and do not buy on-line unless you confirm they are an authorized seller through EGO.

My EGO battery serial number and receipt was registered on and accepted by EGO on their website. Big help that was. (sarcasm)

Randy, Raccoons like to poop on rock.

It seems too big for a coon, and shaped like a dogs poop. We will find out next time.

Edit: Don, you might be right about the coon though, I’m finding narrow deep holes dug around in several places.

Good morning! 61˚F ICE still ON THE GROUND at 6 a.m.

We got pummeled by hail at midnight it looked like bags of ice coming off the roof over the ice filled gutters. So what do I look for as far as damage to a composition roof? My patio has a lot of the little granules that were on the top side of the shingles.
