Maybe it’s time for you to try some of the built in programs. Dronie, Rocket, Circle and Helix. I am not ready to try them yet.

Will you hold my beer?

I forget which one it was I tried, maybe Circle or probably Helix, but it sent the drone on an ascending spiral, then back down on a different path. I launched from the back porch, so it disappeared to the other side of the house. I was watching the screen as it came down pretty quickly, headed for a collision with the roof had I not overridden the controls. My bad for not trying it out in the middle of a clear area, but it left me with an uncomfortable feeling of having to experiment with an unknown flight path to figure out what would happen. Kinda like what would happen with the old balsa wood rubber band wind up airplanes I flew as a kid. But a whole lot more expensive, even taking into account inflation!

I'll go through the user manual again and review the descriptions to see if one might work for the effect I was trying for. But I'm still going to move the tractor out into that big field first.

Well, just returned from the bank.... another fraudulent charge showed up when wifey checked online this morning. Had to cancel her “ new “ card and get another. Apparently, someone did not do their job with the last cancellation and her new info ( number) was compromised. .... Jeez...

So back to watching the account like a hawk again....

Now, to get on with the daily routine....

PJ, nice outside work! Chickens look happy!

Was in the 40's this morning, says high of 70 but it's 72 degrees. Hit 79 yesterday. Went from freeze to summer pretty quick.
I had some more Ash trees to clean up and one smaller tree that got sacrificed to get the bigger Ash over away from bushes etc.
Took 2 days to take the 5 trees fully down and do most of the cleanup. Still have some branches to chip, but didn't have the time.
Today, back to my day job, maybe get the rest of the branches chipped, need to mow the side yard but that will have to wait.

Did something to my knee about a wee ago and it's not getting better, don't want to hit dr yet though

RNG - thanks for sharing the videos and the "new" tractor.

My son just told me he posted his “ special “ episode bragging about the LS tractor. There is nothing special.... he said he could not work in the section when the camera fell off and went under the mower... he said it had happened too fast, being the camera was on time lapse.... bummer... I wanted to see the underside of the mower in action!

That got my attention, Jay! Which one did you get?

Amazon.com: Battery Tender 12V, 27mA, 5W Solar Battery Charger: Automotive

I had to some additional research to confirm that it had an integrated blocking diode which was not readily apparent in their online S&M product description. It does all kinds of temperature related battery maintenance and self checks and it seems 100% weatherproof. I bought it in December, 2019; so far so good. The standard cord is a little short; I would recommend an extension cable.

Ted- I am sorry to read about the CC issues.

I forgot to post earlier that our resident Tree Swallows have returned. They may not be to happy about the possible snow Friday and Saturday around here.

Wow! Talk about a rich line of information, Don!

Seat tape is more my style. This thing may be nearly new, but it'll never be a garage queen. My butt can't see it anyway, and I'd like to prevent something from crawling in there and setting up housekeeping. But maybe Randy has a better fix?

What iPad do you have? You might be able to find DIY instructions and parts at iFixIt.com to do the repair for a lot less than that! :crossfingers:

If you don’t intend to upholster the seat, seat tape and a $30 cover from one of the online places. I have one on my little Cub Cadet tractor it has pouches in the back for gloves, etc...

Good morning, 11C/52F at 8 am and plenty of sunshine to soon raise it to sitting out temperatures.

I will follow the advice on wearing a pfd, had a quick search and found a "deep wading" model that looks a good option for automatic inflation. The angling stores that sell it have closed down until Covid-19 movement restrictions are over, so I can give them a little stimulus once they reopen for business.

Randy had to look up Rappa scrapple - almost wish I hadn't . To be fair though, I haven't tried it, so maybe it tastes better than it looks, as does so many other things

My 1-10 scale for offal (and awful)

Haggis : 1
Spam : 2
Pork scratchings : 3
Scottish White Pudding : 5
Black pudding : 10 :licking:

No Eric, scrapple tastes about like it looks, but the locals love.

Sunny and 75, that’s the high also, predicted 71. Very windy since just before lunch, but pretty blue sky. Looks like very early March weather over the next few days, tired of the semi cold.
Wife wants grilled hot dogs and black beans with salsa, I think Randy might eat leftovers.

My two grandsons in Front Royal had virtual grandparents day by Zoom, two different times so I mowed some in between and finished later.
Put the bucket back on for some more dirt work, I love that skid steer style quick change!

Have a good one. Prayers.

After mowing, we had the deck door and several windows open....nice to air the house out. Wind was brisk on occasion though, as I'm sure you noticed too.
Heading to the dentist in Lebanon this morning, then, hopefully, an oil change this afternoon...

Yep Sunday weather sure was tease and forecast will be turning heat back on. :(

Thomas, at what point does the boo boo nuisance become a danger? And what will the state let you do about it?

I've keeping close eye on the bear seen all good signs, doesn't confront, doesn't put ear back lift one paw,no huffing,we see each other bear walks away out of sight, but when it comes to there mating season we highly cautious.
Over many years yet to call state, state policy would be catch relocate or bear did human harm not good ending.

I made an dentist appointment for tomorrow 6 weeks ago before the virus closure. I called this morning they are still closed this week and still have not started re-making the appointments canceled the past 6 weeks. Hope you got in.

Our Governor got after the Austin Mayor for forcing people to wear mask. City rules do not supersede State rules. The mayor had to back off and said no penalties for non compliance.

It's the Harbor Freight Lynxx 40v pole saw. I've used it quite a bit, and am more than pleased with it.

I ordered an EGO pole saw this morning. Since I have other EGO tools (including their chain saw) and batteries, this seem to be the best choice for me.
I've been trimming limbs before each mowing season, standing in the bed of the Gator using the chain saw. However, with a gimpy leg, I never felt that was particularly safe (especially since I wasn't always on level ground), the pole saw should make the job somewhat safer.
I watched a number of YouTube videos about pole saws. I was amazed the number of folks using these tools with out using forestry helmets. If it's above my head, I want a helmet on my head as well as a face shield.

Thanks for the reminder, I just noticed a $1.24 charge on a card from Walmart 2 weeks after we did the last food order.

Walmart posted 6 charges for the 2 purchases, they do total correct.

Thanks, Randy.

Amazon has a lot of leather backed with adhesive type patches, but only one I could find specifically for vinyl. I'll give it a try, and if I don't like the transparent look, will give it a shot of black spray paint. I put on a temporary patch with some good quality black duct tape I had on hand, and that may take care of it as well. We'll see.

Good idea on the cover as well, especially since the tractor will be sitting out in the weather. The seat on the old tractor split in several places this past year, and it would be nice to protect the new one, even though it's already starting to check.
