Good morning to all! Low of 36, going up to 67, sunny. It was not forecasted to be windy, but I am watching the trees / shrubs rocking back and forth.

Did not do any landscaping yesterday, needed a break anyway. Busy day anyway, went to the grocery store and got everything we needed. Shelves were relatively stocked, typical stuff (bleach, paper goods in very short supply). An odd area of empty shelves was the plastic bag area, all trash bags, food storage, and wraps were cleared out. I am guessing that all the food that people stockpiled now has to be frozen.

After getting back from the store, went to the neighbor and dug the hole for her pet pig. The vets came at noon and put him down. She was upset to say the least. Then the vets helped put him in the hole. Covered and graded the area. She could not watch. It is hard to loose a pet, no matter what kind.

Eric, thanks for the pics of the lambs racing. The fun of youth spreads across all species. Is there a certain one that always starts the fun? Beautiful place you have.

Drew, did you plant the flowers yet? Anxiously waiting for some of your award winning landscape pics.... I need some more inspiration!

RNG, I can imagine you will be in really great physical shape by the time you are done with the concrete... who needs a gym...:construction::thumbsup:

I tried to get a few bags of shredded mulch locally, none to be had. Decided to make a run to the big city late yesterday afternoon down to Lowe’s for some, good deal at 5 for $10. Needed gas in the truck, $1.25 gal at Costco. First time ever that there was no lines at the pump. Overall a quick productive trip.

Everyone have a great day!

63°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 80° today.

Drew, I took a brief jaunt through a couple of the CV threads awhile back - I think they were in the process of getting #5 shut down at the time - and saw more than enough to encourage me to not go back. I've seen some snarkiness popping up in other threads as well. I'm thinking the lack of an "Unfriendly" outlet here is causing some of the thinner skinned members to lash out in other places. That's a shame. I've already unsubscribed to one popular thread that can't seem to stay on-topic anymore. On the bright side, I suppose that it's making my morning reading (catching up) list a bit shorter.

Entertaining, RNG, that you talk of removing and burning three dozen trees, then end with "Anyway, that's all I got done yesterday." You're making me feel lazy.

Hope your sister is getting better, BEF.

I had to go back and see who the new guy was when I saw the quote, Rick. Skipped right over that you changed your screen name. (I usually just look at the avatars.)

Well, Ted, they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and from all the aches and pains, it's pretty clear I'm still alive...:mischievous:

I got a notice from the phone company that they have an appointment scheduled today to fix the internet. No time listed, but it will be fixed by the end of the day.

Let痴 recap....heard that line Thursday, Friday, and Monday......the track record is not good.

Sorry, had to vent......

:p

Good morning All.

39 here at sunrise, headed to 65 with mixed clouds and sun. Rain this evening with thunderstorms at night forecast.

I was lucky to get a haircut and beard trim today. I live with my stylist!!

We cut lawn yesterday and I got some “repair” areas seeded and watered.

I think today will be energy conservation . Please stay healthy!

Frank

A crystal clear, sunny 37ºF for today’s low. Perfect weather to walk the dog before the ticks get active. The Tom’s were gobbling real early this AM. A clear and sunny 45ºF presently, and I anticipate similar conditions and an afternoon high temperature in the mid to hopefully upper 50º’s. The NWS is maintaining its Elevated Fire Risk SWS. Still wet around here as I slogged around my lower field. Another beautiful to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors. I see a lot of rain and maybe some mixed precipitation for most of this week, but the weekend looks good weather-wise.

Looking at my coffee supply early this AM resulted in an Amazon order. Prices were better (so far) than what I would pay for locally and that’s not even taking into the equation of gas $, time (which I waste on principle), and exposure to C-19. So far there is no evidence of a panic buy for coffee (yet) on the internet.

I could not renew my truck’s registration online today, but I do have an extension until 6.30th due the MA response to C-19. Why I could not renew online is strange.???

BEF- My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for your Sister and BIL

Bruce- No way that Department Head would dirty her nails. She did however avoid me the rest of the time she was employed there which was in itself much appreciated.

Eric- Thanks for the pics and Jim for the laughs.

Mike- My special + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for you, your Daughter and every other individual who despite the risk do their job.

Bill- I hope the CT scan determines the cause of the anemia. My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for your Daughter.

Billy- I wish your Son’s Wife a Happy Birthday and I hope that she has many more in health and happiness.

Thomas- I have been hearing them around here as well. I had some rather loud Raven territorial battles here the past few days. What I believe to be our resident 3 have been successful so far; no missing primaries.:D

The rest of today is an energy conservation day.

Good morning! 48 and raining now. Supposed to get to 66 later with some storms and more rain.

With the rain forecast for this week, looks like working on the lower drive this past Saturday was a good idea.

Continued thoughts for BEF痴 sis and BIL.

County I live in - Tuscarawas has 23 cases, none in the hospital. 1 in the township I live in. 109 in the county to the north. Other surrounding counties are a couple with 1 each, none, 10, and 15.

Well, time to get another cup of coffee and go try to do some productive work.

Stay safe out there

My sister is south of you.

65°F and .03 inches rain.
Looks like another easy putter around and straighten up day. Didn’t really break sweat yesterday and quitting early for our Zoom Happy Hour.

Dentist office called and rescheduled our cleaning appointments from April to August.

Wife made a fabulous roasted Brussels spout with Turkey dinner.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Late morning. It was 71° this morning, already up to 77°, and high will be near 85° today and close to 90° tomorrow. Possibly more rain at the end of the week.

The 5+ inches of rain we got on the weekend have the pastures pretty soggy. I was making deep track with just the Polaris Ranger yesterday. This sandy soil turns into “quicksand for a couple of days after a big rain.

Tonight is the Super Pink Moon and best views will be just after 7 pm as it clears the eastern horizon.

We had to change our VFD Apparatus check procedures due the the Virus. Instead of the full company showing up to check all equipment first Monday of the month, we’re going in two man teams, one performing checks and the other recording on check sheets.

I’m still awaiting the parts for my Lynxx pole saw so .. will probably use my Echo PPF-266 gas pole saw to finish trimming up two live oaks that I started last week.

Some have noted I’ve changed my screen name. I wasn’t paying close attention when I signed up for TBN, a few years ago and thought I could have a screen name different from my log in user name. I never went back and changed it till this week after having some issues a few months ago with my personal information being exposed by another member who decided to go to my profile, on LinkedIn, steal my profile picture, then try to use it to insult me over on the FP.

Everyone stay safe .. as we hopefully start turning the corner on the CV.

Prayers to all.

Today is store day so taking spray alcohol and the now REQUIRED or as they say "strongly encouraged" mask. I have several mask so once I get back I can let it sit for 3-7 days before I have to use it again.

I don't have a mask, don't know where I could get one, and am not impressed with what I've seen on the Internet about making your own. I have for years been in a habit of visiting grocery stores, especially Walmart, almost daily, just to get out and ride around, and I visited first one and then another, with more than 10 or 12 in this are. I bought our groceries in very small quantities because I knew I'd be going again in a day or two. Well, things change. I haven't been getting out lately, but I've been making a shopping list. So this morning, I got to our closest Walmart about 5:45 a.m. and was probably about 50th in the line. By the time they opened at 6 a.m., I imagine there were more like 100 people behind me. Lots of folks with a variety of masks, but also a lot, like me, with no mask. So I bought just over $100 worth of groceries; no meats. After I brought that home and put it all away, I went to Sam's Club and bought just over $100 worth of meats. Pretty slim pickin's in the meat cases at Sam's Club. But since things seem to be changing daily, we should not need anything from the store, except possibly milk and bananas, for at least 3 weeks, probably a month or more.

And I noticed construction crews working on the roads, lots of traffic, and even a sign at a Dickie's BBQ and one at a KFC Fried Chicken place saying "We are Open".

Hope that person has been banned from TBN.

Bird, I had a few face mask from when I had my zero turn, They put out a dust storm. I Started wearing one in Walmart but my glasses kept fogging up and I took it off. About 1/2 of the people do not wear one. This is after out county judge was on TV strongly urging everyone to wear one and showed how to make one. The only store around here with material and elastic (Hobby Lobby) was shut down as non-essential by that same county judge 2 weeks ago. Walmart still had a lot of empty shelves and no TP, I read where the shortage will continue for another 3 months.

Rick- I am sorry that you had to deal with this BS. Life is too short for that nonsense.
