Good morning!!!!

I don't think I could stand in line like that.

finished cleaning up the storage room, have to wait until help comes to carry it all downstairs.
That's how I messed up my back the last time.

now I plan on going out to the garden, where like Buppies, I didn't buy enough wildflower seeds first pass,
so at Lowes yesterday I bought four 2# packages of pollinator/wildflower mix and am off to broadcast that in the garden.
It's been tilled already, but now I need to rake it carefully, spread the seed, and then rake again. Then water, which I think is
coming in tonight's rain.

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 7:00AM. Cloudy with periods of rain. High near 55F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.
Weather guessers say rain will start around 10AM, last most of the day. Good, we need it. Noticed a few lupins coming up yesterday, very late this year because it's been so dry.

I don't think I'd have bothered to get in that line, Don. That was a long list of stuff they were out of. Very scary to think that grocery stores will be out of staples like meat and milk. It speaks of bigger issues with the supply chain that I bet our government is trying to keep quiet.

Third case of CoVid-19 reported in this county yesterday. And now there's a new hotline to call if you have any questions. I do, like where do these people live and where have they been, so I can figure out if I've crossed paths and might be infected.

Now researchers are saying they found live virus 17 days after the infected cruise ships were finally evacuated. Still going on that cruise, Randy?

Spread a few yards of dirt on the hillside above the terraces yesterday in hopes the rain would help compact it. Filled in some pretty deep subsidence in the trenches that have already been filled, but that's no surprise because I didn't bother to compact them unless they were going to be under a concrete pad. And most of that ground will be covered in gravel in the not too distant future.

As I was running the tractor I remembered the time I was carrying a bucket full of rock down that same hill and the tractor took off. Stomping on the brakes just left two skid marks from the rear tires because of the weight in the bucket. Dropped the bucket to stop the tractor, then found out that a splined coupler in the front propeller shaft had stripped. And I was thinking yesterday that I should probably buy another one of those couplers and change it out before the same thing happens again. Would have been pretty ugly sailing over the edge of the propane tank terrace yesterday. While I'm talking to the Kubota parts guy, I'll get the seals ordered to fix the leak on the front axle, too.

Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Good morning to all! Low of only 38, windy all night. Today is supposed to be sunny and warm, high of 64, no wind forecasted ... but someone didn’t tell Mother Nature... it’s still windy outside....

I cannot figure out the grocery supply chain issues... the local grocery store (Kroger chain) was almost fully stocked, normal amount of people shopping. Walmart, about a mile away, was the complete opposite. No meats, the cheese and lunch meat cases empty, frozen goods empty...
I haven’t gone into town to Costco, but I am assuming it is like Don’s .

I will put another call into the surgeon this morning, hopefully get through to someone or at least a callback....

Rick, after John looked at the neighbors tractor, they came to the conclusion that he would be better off with a new machine. He is upgrading to a 2020 TLB. He told John there was no rush and to take his time getting it ready. He will just go back down in a week, or two, or a month.... I think he will be better off with a new one.

Hope you guys with snow are able to deal with it without difficulties. Maybe the last “Hoo-rah” from old man winter....

Wng, hope your MIL is ok, and you don’t have any more of the weird dreams....

Ron, hope your BIL gets through the pneumonia with minimal treatment.

RNG, hope your pressure gauge held overnight... no more re-dos allowed...:D

Today’s agenda is to give the tractor a bath and get rid of the winter dirt build up. Probably start up the drip system for the landscaping. Lilac bushes are opening their buds, Bradford pear trees are not far behind...

Everyone have a great day!

No zinc in my vitamins.

Electric just went off, then came back.

Enjoy the snow up north. Says 46° on my phone.

Work from home. Stomach was upset in the night, little better now.

Thursday makes 2 weeks since I was packed in a Costco line.

No need to update CV cases. It is spreading.
Spring must be on it's way. Maple tree in front yard is starting to bud out.

Every article I read about symptoms of CV brings up condition I think I have. So far they have all gone away. Not going to start taking temperature yet.

.

Nice pic with the flag.

I get symptoms also, and in the back of the mind wonder.

But it’s allergy season also.

They will only let 30-50 people in at a time. I might be in the second wave. Line has circled the building. 15 minutes before opening. About 1 person in 20 are wearing mask. Line is growing about 100 every 10 minutes.

I am so glad I did the Costco delivery yesterday. I got more peanut butter, my son eats it by the spoonful.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Got in just as the county was issuing stay at home order.
Schools are closed fro the remainder of the school year.

Got all but one item on my list but had to go to 4 stores. (lentils were out everywhere) Senior Hour at Walmart was two hour earlier than Costco. The parking lot was full I got there 10 minutes late and most popular items were gone - but only a line to check out.
I was in the first wave of 50 to get inside Costco. My list got shorter after seeing the out of items dry-erase board outside. Scored some TP- limit one (30 roll pac) and not enough in stock for the people toward the end of the senior hour line) Checkout was fast and I was on the road by 8:30. Target had onions. I found a half gallon of clorox at Walgreens (low on the shelf and to the back) I have been waiting 3 weeks to luck out on clorox to get the mildew off the back white rock patio. Now I'm not sure I should waste it on mildew.

The temperature was stuck on 30ºF all night; presently 39ºF and mostly cloudy conditions. . I measured 6" of heavy wet snow this morning with Brogen confirmed. 6" on top of soft unfrozen ground surface = a mess to move around with the tractor. The tractor had been sitting since early February. The tractor started right up thanks to the solar powered battery tender.

I finally found the source of the leak affecting the SelectComfort® bed- an 8" extension hose fitting which I really do not need. So it may not have been a faulty compressor, just my faulty reasoning. So last night I tried the bed out, but Mr. Buttcheek had other ideas.

I really think that some tractor seat time helped rearrange whatever Mr. B was protesting about.

Ted- I suggest trying to avoid doctors' offices and hospitals if possible.

I hope that everyone is having a manageable day and is staying healthy.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

We drove around a little bit this morning; never stopped or got out of the car. All the grocery stores, including Sam's Club, had lots of cars in the parking lots. Eating places with drive up window service were going a good business, but none open.

The yard is in dire need of mowing, so I got out there and did the string trimming and edging, and it was worse than I expected; almost like trying to work in a swamp. But if it stays hot and dry, as forecast, maybe I'll get it mowed in a day or two.
