34F this morning, didn't sleep very well, glad to see market up some this morning.

I too watched some of the video posted on Corona virus.. my take aways so far.. no cough or sneeze needed, just plain old breathing can send out the germs and easy to share air when in close quarters. Closing schools may put more pressure on health care, many health care workers don't have means for child care so they would have to stay home to take care of their kids.. perhaps some parents could help watch others kids to ease the burden. Closing schools won't stop the virus, it will help slow the spread so it doesn't explode quite as fast.

One of my daughters works in customer service for health insurance company.. big increase in scheduling calls now with some schools closed, teachers are scheduling doctor appts. We wanted to get appt to get prescriptions while we find new doctors (current medical not available in retiree medical so we have choose plan and find new doctors).

Stay safe, prayers for all.

Good morning to all! Low of 38 overnight, I heard a few showers pattering on the roof a few times during the night. I do not see any puddles this morning, so it probably was not much rain. Good chances for more today.

The appt with the surgeon went well, except for the fact he was 1 1/2 hours behind schedule by 11:00 am. Considering I arrived 15 mins early for the appt, then sat in the waiting room for an additional 1 1/2 hours, I was not a happy camper, along with a bunch of other folks. I was surprised no one in the waiting room was coughing or sneezing. Seemed like only family members sat together, all others sitting 3-4 seats apart.

There was a secondary appt following the surgeon with the anesthesiologists.... needless to say I did not make it to that one. They called yesterday afternoon and I rescheduled it for this morning.... another 2 hours of driving and time spent all because of the initial delay at the surgeon ‘ s office. Trickle down affect.... I am sure we will see a bunch more when the real affects of the Covid19 hit. Many aspects of our personal lives could be affected in many ways.

Got to get going down to the docs...

Have a great day...

38°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 49° today. Only 39° for the projected high tomorrow, and rain most of the day ... which may include some snow, depending on where you look.

Once thing I will say about this virus panic going viral (sorry, couldn't help myself), rush hour traffic has been relatively pleasant this week.

Back from my normal Friday shopping trip to Sam’s club. I thought I was shopping at a Costco on a Saturday afternoon. Plus many thing had empty shelves. All registers where open with 8 to 10 lined up at each one. I used Scan and Go for my purchases. Fellow that does checkouts at door said next week he was working from home. 🥴

A foggy, drizzly, rain showery 35ºF for today's low temperature; currently a dreary, showery*40ºF; an I anticipate an overcast afternoon with the high temperature in the mid50ºF's and increasing winds as the cold front rolls through.. *~.30" of rain recorded. *I anticipate a windy night tonight into tomorrow morning.

Randy- Take care about over-tiring yourself with the “part time job”.

Kyle- In a way I have been on active mode before the COVID-19 news broke. I’ve been exercising “Universal Precautions” since the late 1970’s as trained, and after my BOOP I am became OCD about hand washing, not touching hand rails or doorknobs directly (if possible), etc. It really PO’s me using public bathrooms when there is a used paper receptacle by the door and no available paper towels. Those hand blow dryers are only effective at spreading diseases. I saw some familiar names on the COVID-19 threads (#1, #2, #3, and soon probably #4 and #5)- I will not be visiting any of those threads any time soon. It’s a personal choice about how one accepts or deals with the COVID-19 virus or any others. I intend to stay close to home hunkering down as much as possible which is the norm anyways.

“I should have picked up more beer.”- Mike And for me more vodka. My liquor cabinet may need some cleaning out;). Thanks for the quote; history seems to validate it.

Billy- Thank you for the information.

RNG- Thanks for the video.

Rick- From what I am feeling today it’s going to be a long and strong year for pollen.

Eric- Thanks for sharing your many projects and making me laugh.

Ted- I am sorry to read about the office wait and the resultant trickle down of blown appointments.

I hope everyone survives Friday and has decent plans for the weekend.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Well Morning to all;
It is Friday for those that keep track,
had to get moving earlier then normal this morning, picked my wife up at work yesterday so had to take her in this morning.
Rained most of the night and raining all morning so far.
Cool wet and dreary, not a pleasant day especially if you need to work outside.
Miserable day to be out so I guess I'll start my miserable inside job, damned income taxes  :censored:
Best of luck to all for the corona virus,
to my way of thinking all this prohibiting of large groups and closing schools and colleages is going to slow the increase in number of cases,
but it's just going to string it out for a much longer time frame, as far as the warm weather stopping it,
Italy isn't cold this time of year (southern) and it is hammering them.
I'm thinking that we are going to have at least 2 more months of this.
And I don't believe that the "experts" have any solid information on how long the virus can survive and under what conditions.
So who knows what measures to take, I dang sure don't.
Best luck to all.

J- sounds like a good plan.

Ok I'll bring extra TP for some seat time to tackle that load!

Good morning! 69˚F golfers in shorts this morning heading to the 80s. Had my green/yellow/blue oatmeal this morning to ward off the virus. (Kale/turmeric/blueberries)
Trail blazers this afternoon.

So, you're the culprit for empty TP shelves....

Good to know moss can be used as toilet paper, we have plenty growing on the roof.

Any tips for climbing the ladder with jeans around ankles ? :confused2:

Maybe do your business off of the Peak, then slide down on your bum???
