Currently 20 with a high of 23, was 9 when I got up this morning. I have the day off for the Holiday. Went out for breakfast with my great nephew and FIL. Wife is working so I will do some housework and make sure to get dinner in the oven before she returns. Still doing and feeling well. Think it will be mostly an energy conservation day.
Storm wasn't much around here. I easily pushed it with the 7 foot plow out and away from the house. I should visit the town highway dept. and tell them we live on a 45 foot cul-de-sac not a 20 foot straight rd. Looks like most of you are improving on the health issues.
BEF- Let's hope the new hospital can figure out what's going on with your FIL.
Jay-Sounds like you had a easy storm cleanup also.

More bad news on the flu front...

my first instapot attempt wasn't bad, should have cooked meat on high or ten minutes more but still could pull apart with a fork.
Doing fine until plastic bowl slipped out of my hands, hit floor and splattered mixed greens simply everywhere. Groan.
Good flavor, very lean and healthy, plus I grew the potatoes. I used a little sour cream to mix in but still fairly watery, did not add corn starch.

Morning guys! After two weeks of heavy rain, winds, snow, and freezing temps, today is gorgeous. Sunny and low 50’s

Current view from kitchen door looking North East. And yes pressure washing the pavers is on my to do list.

To top it off my 18 yo daughter (who lives part time in LA) is flying in today. I haven’t seen her since Christmas so all is well in my world.

Hope you all are getting the most out of and appreciating life also.

Phil- I am glad that you continue to feel decently. Yes this dry snow was still easy to shovel earlier this AM. I was a little disappointed in the ç*¥nderperformance of this latest storm; but in reality it better for me as I can still walk Brogen around here and get some decent exercise. This coming weekend may prove interesting weather-wise for the NE. The weather models are all over the place.

My crampons continue to see daily use around here due to necessity, and I do not see the ice/snowpack situation changing any time soon. It appears that my newly installed solar powered battery charger/tender for the tractor is working correctly and the wind has not toppled the panel stand yet.

Thanks, daugen. Lawns don’t die in our climate. They will go dormant during dry summers without irrigation though

My daughter’s two cats stay with me when she is away. I just told them she would be back today.
