A snowy 20ºF morning low. Today's high was 33ºF. A breezy mixed sun and clouds with intermittent snow flurries most of the day. I measured 4.5" of accumulated snow that was dry and easy to manage = plowed the driveway and turnabouts, roof raked where needed, and shoveled off the deck. All I need to do tomorrow is throw some wood ashes, shovel a cart path to my wood pile and an access path to my propane tank that got filled Friday. Plan for the rest of the day = Feed the dog, Happy Hour, re-heat leftovers, and relax. For some reason as soon as the football playoff game started we lost DTV signal for that station and no others
Billy- Thanks for the recipe. I've eaten worse and less healthy concoctions than your suet. I might add some nasty hot sauce for the tree rats.
Bill- Thanks for the link. I am using old fashioned analog outdoor timer outlets. Really decent LED grow lights were not easily available and overly expensive when I set this cellar grow room up and went with CFL lights. It is my belief and I am probably wrong that the CFL ballasts mess with the digital timers.
David- Nice work.
Buppies- There are a lot of upset MidAtlantic State(s) members at WxDisco who have thrown in their towels about having snow this Winter. I agree with you about this ongoing weather pattern.
Drew- It seems your trip was not meant to be this time; hopefully you will get a second window of opportunity soon. Itç—´ really nice to have neighbor friends like yours. I am sorry to read about your RV damage. I really hope that everything medical/physical going on gets straightened out soon. Good luck with your stew and I hope that you are able to get your reservation deposits returned or held for future use. Shake any family tree and all kinds of surprises may drop out. My Sister got me a "23 and Me" genetic test kit for the Holidays. All I had to do is spit in a vial (took ~15 minutes) and mail the vial back. Now that I started the process I am a little curious about my genetic background. Unlike my sister I am not interested in meeting blood relatives unless it is someone here in GM or really rich.
Lou- I am sorry to read about your cousin.
My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.
