Good morning!!!!

Dave- The "Green Bean" is just one of many really interesting breakfast/lunch restaurants serving a diverse variety of menu items using quality locally produced food products. We live too far away for a breakfast/brunch in NoHo. A similar breakfast/lunch restaurant very similar to the "Green Egg" is the "Belly of the Beast" which is nearby, almost next door, and we have eaten there. I could not believe that I could find and in a place like this (or NoHo in general ) scrapple served. For brunch there is only one place to go in the area which is the Delany House in Holyoke.... awesome.

Holyoke is a very interesting City. It has seen better days, but it is going through a revitalization. I used to work down in the Canal Street area within the continuum of human service providers.... still not the best of places to hang out.

Snowing here now...prediction is for 1-3 inches.
We had a pretty steady mix of sleet, freezing rain and some snow most of the day. I much prefer the ice atop any snow so I haven't cleared the drive and walks yet (none of us had to go anywhere, so no real rush). I'l do the clearing tomorrow morning...

Rain all day then temps dropped and had some of Jay's thunder snow that was mostly freezing rain.
Ron and Randy Most BPH meds say take in the AM but what ever works. Ron side effects should calm after a short time for most but as I said really didn't help me. After Dr decided to give cialis a try it worked I also started taking OTC force factor prostate formula (Beta-Sitosterol) that I get at GNC with my vitamins I normally get 6 hours solid sleep and on a good night 8
Dave hope your end of year happy hour was a success

Good evening all. 33F for the start, light wind, overcast sky. Clearing started, mid morning, wind was strong side of moderate with brisk gusts, and high temp was 53F. Slow start, 10 am bike ride, rode 50 miles, then lunch and nap. plan to stay home tomorrow night, hope to catch a countdown about 9 or 10 and call it a night.
DABSGT, good luck with move, Dad had Alzheimer's so I know some of what you are going through, took us 2 tries to find a good place for him.
Drew, another thing to watch for is sleep apnea, can mess with blood sugar and cholesterol. It is easier to go too short, then to go too long.
Don. good luck at cards.
Jay, good luck with your storm.
Ron good luck with triglycerides, mine tend high as well, cutting back on sugar, and simvastatin are controlling then right now.
Jay sorry about your dogwood, pic is from 2009 ice storm an SIL house. Forest canopy still not recovered.
Rick glad you are getting back to normal.
Randy nice update.
PJ alway nice to ease back into work routine.
Buckeye sorry to hear about crashes.
Kyle thanks for history lesson and sounds like good fishing trip.
PJ understand your concern, especially when on bicycle.
Lou, cool shot of freeze line.
Jay, no industrial strength fruitcake here just homemade :licking:
dmottv, used to have a lot of green food around St Pat's day during college years.
DABSGT, I have only gotten snow from thundersnows, usually 10+ inches always heavy wet snow, hard to push.
prayers for all.

The only thing I like about ice storms is the sun shining through the tree branches the morning after.

The temp here is 30 and we are going to a high of 32°F. Wind S 11 mph. Periods of snow. Aboujt 4" worth.

A dump run is first. Then shopping for some more of that cheap bread. After that the last part of the trip is to get 60 gallons of high test gas for the genny.

Have a safe day all

44 going to 53, I miss that 72 from yesterday.

My list of meds looks like a pharmacy inventory since summer. I’ve been able to drop a couple and I’m hoping to do away with more. I think some just counteract others! LOL

Have a good one, prayers.

Good morning all. The sky has clouded over, even so we have had no rain worth talking about for 3 days. Fields not exactly dry, but can get around most places without the mud trying to steal my wellie boots.

In addition to pigeon poop, I found owl pellets when I cleaned the pen out yesterday. I don't want to evict the owl, so I've put up a trail camera to try and find how it flies in and out, then hopefully will be able to see which area to leave free of wire

Cannibals in Texas
Is that really true about the Karankawa Kyle, or just a tomahawk prequel to the Texas Chainsaw massacre ? :)

Good morning all. Cooler but nice day today, high in low 60s.
Headed off to ENT in New Bern to get second steroid injection in middle ear.
First one worked wonderfully, for two days. Then increasing tinnitus but still not as bad as two weeks ago.
So hoping second shot will have cumulative effect.

then home to take down xmas decorations outdoors. Tomorrow pruning the fruit orchard, one of my favorite tasks.

worked on my Head West trip last night a little, expect to be arriving in La Grange Texas about April 11th, then to Austin, then to Fort Worth and Amarillo. Since I still don't understand geographically where TBN folks are, I'll reach out a month before, but just before tax day expect me out there, assuming my trip to the Keys goes well in a few weeks. It would be nice to get a couple of guys together for lunch.

Good morning on the last morning of 2019.

Chance of snow today, then back near 50 yet this week. Strange winter.

Got plenty to do today....and tomorrow....have to see what fits my priorities

Happy New Year!

Everyone have a safe and good day

46 going to 55.

Randy, I miss the 70s from yesterday, too, but need some snow soon. Glad you got some productive seat time. You ever own a LaSalle?

BEF, cool info about the Lincoln connection.

Kyle, think any Karankawa descendants are still around...maybe disguised as vegetarians?

Drinking second cup of coffee. 32° with light snow this morning. Heading to 31° with light snow most of the day. Shelf making was a bust. Piece of wood I have is not wide enough. Off to Menard's later today. Need to clean walkways. May take the Christmas tree down today. Then fix New Years Eve dinner. Crab legs, small steak and salad. Then off to bed by 9 pm.
Thanks all for the Flomax comments. I have stopped taking it until I find out what is causing my stomach ache/heartburn. Then will see Dr before starting it again. I am currently taking 6 pills. Only one is prescribed.
Got tripod and UV lens in mail yesterday. Got a couple of pictures. Squirrel looks like it is trapped in feeder. Another picture of small woodpecker at feeder.

Drew, you should be able to meet up with Rick, Kyle and Don from La Grange. Nice state park to visit there. If you are not fixed on the campground yet. Check out Bastrop.

Everyone have a safe and Happy News Years Eve.

Good Morning All.

28 right now and very pretty outside. Probably 3-4 inches of snow...I'm sure it going to be wet and heavy. The high will be in the mid to upper 30's.
Sipping on my first cup of coffee. I'll be plugging in the tractor in a bit to clear the walks and driveway. Probably start about noon or thereabouts since we may see another inch of snow mixed with freezing rain...

Took down some outdoor decorations yesterday and all the electric cords, one more large Nativity scene and outside will be clear. One small tree left in the house and it’ll be like Christmas never happened.
Changed the filter in the humidifier, washed clothes, cleaned the litter box, it just doesn’t get more exciting than that!
Time for a cup of coffee and Perry Mason.

Good morning of the New Years Eve! 28˚F, heavy frost, clear skies warming up to the high 50s. Productive trip to Mom's yesterday but not so much at cards in the evening. Only won 2 of 5 games - it will be interesting to see how far I will slip from 3rd place. New quarter starting next Monday.

Can the gardens be finished today? - we will see. . . . may have to miss the noon countdown.

Ron the squirrel looks like it got caught with it's paw in the cookie jar, with that guilty look.
