Good morning Everyone!!!!!!
Friday the 13th did not go so well here in Costa Rica. 50 feet into a personal bird/wildlife guided tour Wifey/SWMBO (AKA Peg) tripped, face planted into some mud, and broke her wrist. It could have been worse. Our guide became our personal attendant taking Wifey to a local village Dr that he knew. Despite the primitive nature of his office he did a great job wrapping her wrist with medical supplies that the guide and I bought at the local pharmacy. The guide had to lend me $40(USD) until we got back to the Villa. That took care of all our remaining $(USD). The Dr. And guide really stressed that we go back to San Jose
to get x rays, etc. San Jose traffic is horrible on a good day in non-rush hour traffic; the normal 1 hour drive took 3. We finally found the hospital with GPS. I can attest that CR hospitals at least in San Jose are on par with any USA hospital (maybe better). Wifey got a nice new blue cast and then we had to deal with night time San Jose traffic getting back to the Villa Caletas.
Our CC paid for the treatment and x rays. The tolls coming back care of most of our remaining colonies (CR currency). The $6945 colonies pictured = ~$12.63 (USD). Today's mission find an ATM.
Randy- AWESOME!!!!
Mpsmith- Welcome to the GM shenanigans.
David- An awesome picture!!!! Thanks for sharing another beautiful HI scene. After yesterdayç—´ debacle I am leaning towards vacationing in English speaking countiries.
BEF- It was our fourth day here.
Ted- We will make the best of our current situation here in CR. I carry the luggage anyways.
I hope that everyone is having a decent weekend.
My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.
PS: Despite the craziness here. I have some pictures to take and share later.
