Bought another NVR for security cams. Amcrest this time. Half physical size as old one. Same menus as my dahua nvr, and the prior qsee nvr. Now I can add more cameras.

The crab cake lunch was good.

Started light rain when we got home.

My job transition is going to be slower than I hoped, but I am going to make it work. I get moved to new team Dec 1 and then as I ramp in my new job, transition out of my old job, but I get to cover the business while the company is shutdown over the holidays. I pushed back asking to have the transition done before holidays but will do what is needed. I was so looking forward to not being on email during company shutdown (sales continues and when they need approvals for configs that do not meet specs, it falls to me to review and approve if appropriate, one of the jobs I no longer enjoy).

Got some rain showers moving in ahead of a sharp cold front. 56 now, but tomorrow’s high is predicted to be low to mid 40s with 20-30 mph winds.

Oops, sorry. Each number is a measurement from the bottom of the door frame to the bottom of the laser stripe, so it indicates how far below that point on the door frame is below the level line.

It is kind of creepy in there, especially when you stop to think that there's no way to open the doors from the inside. No wonder so many illegal immigrants have died inside containers.

I would be drilling a hole somehow somewhere to be able to get out.

Have a safe ride.

Good evening all. 46F when I woke up, front already through. 3 1/2 inch in bucket. Drizzle and light rain for 1/2 the day, windy all day, high temp 63F just after midnight, 38F for the low about 3 PM. Worked on fire, and new storm door, got hinges drilled, and door handle installed, waiting for wind to die down and take old door back down. Should finish tomorrow. Younger brother coming tomorrow for visit, he had triple bypass couple years back and is walking 1/2 or hole marathon in Fort worth on Sunday. Will likely miss Big boy at Palestine , (closest approach).
Mrs Mostly says thank you for the birthday wishes!

24 right now...high, only about 30..clear, at least.

Back home...trip was semi-successful. Got some good training but didn't get certified. Better luck next time (probably in January), I guess.

Plans today was to go to work...that changed as a result of my stepdaughter's being hit by a car (see my previous posts). First order of business is to take my wife to a doctor's appointment this morning, then take my stepdaughter (one who lives with us) to the Manchester NH airport for a flight to LA. The injured stepdaughter (Anne) can't do much with those broken ribs, so Katie (one who lives with us) is going to care for Anne and her daughter for a week

Yesterday proved to be a washout after all, although not as bad as for those further north where the rainfall was heaviest. L4N, your DIL's hometown is on the news this morning, the river Don looks set to cause major flooding there.

Hang in there Hawkeye, January is not that far away. May I ask what the salesmen sell over the Christmas holiday period ?

I would be drilling a hole somehow somewhere to be able to get out.

Me too. We must both have same phobia about unnecessary ways to die

My hands may be a little too full to get on here for a while. I need to go pick up grandchildren and then rediscover long lost nappy (diaper) changing skills while my wife is away on a craft course. Should be fun.
