45 going to 57. Partly cloudy today with rain coming tomorrow. Will try to get some outside work done today and do all the inside stuff later. Hopefully a more then usual quiet weekend. Might remove the mower and get started on hooking up the snow blower.
Was able to do the 100 hour service on the tractor the other day.
Need to make a fuel run soon, was waiting for the station to switch over to the winter blend.
Hope everyone is safe and healthy. Have a great weekend!

You'd better get a move on Phil, snow is coming! :D

for so much of my life snow brought a wonderful change to the landscape, sure it meant work
but it was winter. When I hit my 60's and the arthritis and bone disease started getting bad, snow
slowly was not my friend at all. I've already had L5 taken out, shoveling heavy wet snow is clearly not
what the doctor ordered. And oh would I pay for it when I had to. Had a sick wife, no choice though if she could
she loved to. I moved South after Philadelphia got six feet of snow one winter.

Once upon a time I lived aboard a boat in South Florida for three years in the 90's.
Hot hot hot all the time. Bet it's even hotter now.
After I sell the farm, for a hundred grand I could buy a big old motoryacht and live aboard in the Outer Bahamas.
Rum and the baking sun instead of arthritis meds...;)
It's during Winter I think of these things, a recurring seasonal event.

and I would get that job with the local resort driving an old Ford with turf tires up and down
the 6 mile long white powder sand beach pulling a chain link drag.
Canopy on top, bright blue water and the sound of the surf a constant companion.
And while the sun is hot hot hot, the breeze off the ocean takes all the heat away.

ok, who wants to sign up? It's a big beach...

have to mow some fields today, should be very nice seat time., some leaves beginning to turn

30 years ago when I did not know any better. All that sun reflecting off the water I feel a skin cancer coming on now but might be fun to try. Afraid I would miss tractor

David, after your string of mechanical woes I bet a "simple dinner" was just dandy.

lot of outside work planned for today, leaves, etc and clean out veggie garden. Still some peppers growing in there, I suppose until it freezes might as well let them
keep on keeping on and see if I get a few more.

I woke up this morning and realized I hadn't turned off the fridge in the rv. Not good if it switched to propane, a waste of gas, need to prop open doors and let it all dry out in there. Headed downtown first thing to see if Napa can make a power cable for me. Very few in size I'm looking for, all over a hundred bucks plus no oem molded connectors. However this is just a cable for when under the shed, so no travel plans, and cable for most part stays dry. I need to look on West Marine site, they probably are closest outlet for ring collar connector.

have a great weekend gentlemen.

I built my 20’, 30 amp twist lock cable in 2012 and o had around $70 in parts as I recall.

40 right now...high in the low 550's today.

Not much planned...maybe a dump run, but it's not really necessary. Got a guy coming over to look at a gas powered snow blower I haven't used in 2 years...hope it starts!
After that, just take it as it goes...

Toppop, thanks, this was 75 feet for 129 bucks with add on connectors, so clearly being made in some shop somewhere.
Plus the one end lights up to indicate power, and I'd never get that in the local shop.
Since I melted the ends of a prior cord trying to use an extension, I'm hopeful this single cable will work a lot better.
I don't expect to run more than 20 amps through it anyway. Has to be some line loss in there.
