we had helicopters landing on our beach yesterday sucking up ocean water to take a mile or so up the coast to douse a local wildfire in the hills just above Muir Woods. One of our neighbors, born and raised here, has dementia and he was trying to sabotage the helicopters. He was so upset at the fish they were sucking up along with the water. Sometimes life is just too absurd.

a funny quote I just got from my sister, as now fires encroach on their local woods.
This is right around the corner above San Francisco btw.
yup RNG, they must have a fleet of choppers ready to douse those expensive woods...

Got another ton of wood pellets. Love being able to haul in the bed instead of taking trailer. Bought the Gold instead of premium for $10 more a ton. .5% ash instead of 1%. I should test it.



Got them stored In barn, put new in back and last yrs leftover 62 bags in front. Still got 10 bags in the porch box.

Drove 420 mostly highway miles yesterday to North Carolina and back...still moving furniture and possessions for my MIL...house sold. Must have seen 20+ dead deer in different states of insult on the pavement or side of the road. It's that time of the year. Be careful out on the road.

Yep the ladies just about all doll up almost ready to start flirting,fellows have there head gear looking good starting to make pre rut rounds just checking,figuring mid Nov. lust I mean love will fill the air.

51F cloudy rain arriving later tonight.

It was good day side field mow for the last time this year couple other things done,saw two BIG :shocked: flock of geese headed south west.
While mowing next door neighbor came bouncing over on her riding lawn to chat it was great chat,she 72 years young seems to be always doing something outside...also make dandy loin wine :thumbsup: and her hippy hay as she calls it ... she had 4 yards screen loam deliver today plans wheel barrow loam to her garden site this weekend I told her that's not going to happen and I'll over 9am with the tractor,she said no no but thank you anyways I said to late I have you pencil in on my things to do list tomorrow she had BIG ole wide grin.
She also remind me to get up early keep watchful eye out for road hunters tomorrow youth weekend for whitetail deer need to protect our enjoyment.
Well I guess it Mexican night so Mrs. said gotta go and clean.

Good evening all. 44F for the start, windy with fog/drizzle. 4 Inch rain in the bucket in the last 24 hours, Low water #2 stayed open the whole time, shows how dry it is here. Wind stayed brisk all day, drizzle all day, bottom of bucket 1/3 covered, high temp 48F.
Removed old storm door from front door, started getting ready to install new, was smiling that the screw holes lined up on the new rollscreen door (Pella) as the old door (Larson). Then found no handle When they sold wife door, they neglected to inform her she needed to buy handle separately . Tried to get pella in chat or by phone no luck (wanted part# for door handle). So I napped.

Drew they were advertizing for pilots for wild fire operations last fire season.
David hope they get your truck fixed this time , and you get new generator hooked in to your satisfaction.
Drew nice to see new motor home parked in shelter with no scrapes. Newer Garmins have some adjustability for routing preferences IE major highways vs back roads. Support should know the options better than they do. I had to work out where one of those settings were because of routing issues, and ended up finding it on my own.
Buckeye, I hate dreams like that.

Did get the transfer switch controls hooked in. May need to replace a LED. Only the Kohler side functional at this point as military unit (MEP) still not in place, still need to do servicing.
After transfer switch is final and labeled will get a pic or two.

Very nice simple dinner with 6 friends.

Good morning all. A soggy start to the day here, rain started yesterday morning and has been continuous ever since. No prospect for change until dusk, so it is looking like a mostly inside day. I will have to think up an excuse to use the new nail gun again - I still can't stop smiling each time I walk past it. Have you tried your new one yet Kyle ?

David, after your string of mechanical woes I bet a "simple dinner" was just dandy.

lot of outside work planned for today, leaves, etc and clean out veggie garden. Still some peppers growing in there, I suppose until it freezes might as well let them
keep on keeping on and see if I get a few more.

I woke up this morning and realized I hadn't turned off the fridge in the rv. Not good if it switched to propane, a waste of gas, need to prop open doors and let it all dry out in there. Headed downtown first thing to see if Napa can make a power cable for me. Very few in size I'm looking for, all over a hundred bucks plus no oem molded connectors. However this is just a cable for when under the shed, so no travel plans, and cable for most part stays dry. I need to look on West Marine site, they probably are closest outlet for ring collar connector.

Good morning.

29 and going to a high of 48°F. Wind WNW 11 mph. 60% chance of showers.

I will work around the raindrops again today. I need to move the firewood closer to the house, so as I can chuck it into the basement. I am happy that I got the Komfort Kab when I bought the Kioti.
After the wood gets moved, I have a trailer I need to pull out of the weeds and cut the grass where it sits, then return it to its' resting spot.
Thee are a couple of low spots in the driveway that water collects in that I have to cut channels so the water can drain off.
I think that is all I have to do and I will be ready for winter. Oh, I almost forgot; take the BH off and put the scraper blade on, then I will be ready for winter.
