I got three more live oaks trimmed up yesterday and continued to build another burn pile. This one is #9 but .... our burn ban continues.

That's lot of cook hotdogs :licking:

Thomas ... you've settled into retirement well.
Just starting to sink in. :confused2:

I took this pic the other morning while waiting on the stock tanks to fill. We'd had some rain the night before and there was fog hanging low to the ground as the sun was coming up. Never had seen a sunrise quite like it before so I snapped the pic with my iphone.

Neat picture.

My SIL used to live just east of Lincolnton. Been down there a lot.

left early and beat the rain back, hit some drizzles, lot of dense fog to start out with, and that fog
and the incoming rain made me choose the well traveled path back, down 17 to 95, since the nicer route, which was 81 down to Roanoke, I was told goes
over the mountains" and figured that wouldn't be much fun driving in the fog. Almost six hours to get home, neck and arms hurt, time for a nap.
BEF, you've had a tough year and sure earned this birthday.
Toppop, it wounds wonderful that you are getting back into normal routines. I bet it feels good.
Check, glad Genie took care of you.

Shows what a varied, beautiful world we live in.

Glad your trip went well, you took the best route, 81 can be a parking lot any time and takes you a bit west.
