Likewise happy your misadventure was no worse than it was, David. Hopefully there's an error code stored somewhere in memory that will help your dealer figure out what's wrong. Sometimes if you google the symptoms with the make and model of the vehicle, you'll find thousand of people with the same problem, and a raft of possible solutions.

Most of the time, the engine management system can be reset by disconnecting the starter battery for five or so minutes. No secret button required.

I feel like I've been dragged kicking and screaming into the mysterious and perplexing world of computer controlled cars with the van build, as the ex-mechanic left quite a few dragon eggs in the wiring harness for me to straighten out. And the darn thing popped the P1500 code again last night just as I pulled into the cul-de-sac. It could be an over-voltage condition in the code spoofer, or the alternator/voltage regulator itself is over achieving. More homework...:confused2:

David, hopefully something simple they can help you with.

RNG, you are looking for an electron in a hybrid haystack. I hope you can get it figured out.

Ellen’s family ate my whole pot of chili! I guess it was good, I got a small bowl. Glad they enjoyed it, I guess it’s ham and cabbage next.

Tundra update:

This infamous “can’t duplicate at dealer syndrome” Tech saw it this morning, but not since. Apparently not throwing any codes. So they want to keep overnight and relook tomorrow.

Servicing done
Some sort of update applied.

According to internet search, this situation has happened in various models, not just Tundra, with no concrete solution ranging from people doing nothing, the battery reset, to dealer solutions costing big bucks resulting in never seeing it again to random reappearances.
I guess my plan is to always be able to do the battery disconnect. That was my 1st thought yesterday, but most recent truck cleanup resulted in all the tools removed ☹️ Will make sure a basic set gets put back in under my seat.
Be interesting to see how they pad the $160 diagnostic fee.

Good evening all. 50F for the start, overcast, light wind. Wind was moderate, clouds thinned about noon, and high temp was 67F. Men's meeting, then to artificial habitat work session. The artificial habitat is made with pex tubing sawed to length then get some holes drilled to release air then placed in concrete base and placed in lake.We had a small assembly line going manned by about 15 guys (fishing club members). Nap after lunch, did not have the energy to ride after the work project.
Ted prayers for the joint pain, hope the workload at homes slows done and you can make "progress" at work.
Randy that must have been one good pot of chili! That should score as well as the earrings :)
David, man I hate it when electrical problems crop up like that, could be ecu, could be ...
prayers for all

44 degrees, brrr. Grabbed another fleece to take with me.

All wind restrictions have been lifted. Safe travels!

banner notice on Chesapeake Bay Bridge website. Yeah.
That tells me earlier tonight they must have hit 40mph winds and closed it down partially.

I slept well, time for shower, and a nice breakfast, then off when sun comes up, close to 7am now.
Going to take a while to warm up the rv, big box of cold but when sun hits it should be fine

Enjoying first cup of coffee, rest goes in travel mug which I filled up with hot water first to warm it up.
The Yeti travel mug holds heat very well, I but don't like the lid design, hole in the lid allows coffee to slosh out, I prefer a slider top, particularly
when bouncing around on the UTV.

Hope you all have a nice day.

Good morning all. I don't often work away from home nowadays and when I do I try and travel in the evening, so my journey is not usually more than a couple of hours. Got caught in traffic backing up from two different accidents where they are doing extensive roadworks last night, with no option other than to sit it out and then crawl for hours at 5 mph. In all it put over 3 extra hours on the journey, not getting back until well past midnight. I need a good dose of fresh air today to clear my head. Surprisingly my back didn't complain at all, the seats in the Subaru must be well designed.

Belated happy birthday to Ellen. Chilli looks good Randy, but must have been difficult to get the candles to stay upright :)

Mostly, is the tubing to give somewhere to hide from fish eating birds, or something else ? In this country lots of places have problems with cormorants. They used to be coastal only birds, now over the last few decades many have opted to come inland and have a major impact on fish in many still waters.
