Good morning

temp is 36 and going to a high of 50°F. Wind W 15 gusting to 21 mph. 70% chance of 'periods of rain'.

I did nothing yesterday and I fully intend to do the same today.
If the rain holds off, then I might put some wood in, but don't hold your breath.

Have a good day all

Yup. Fall rains are here for sure, L4N. I have been wanting to do some more work on the parts of the boat hosted do not have new shingles yet, but it makes it difficult when the temperatures go down to close to freezing and it rains during the day. But, the leaves sure have been colourful over the last week or two!

Time for coffee and more leftover turkey. Daughter’s graduation Wednesday - hope the rain tapers off!

Poured first cup of coffee. 31° with clear skies and frost this morning. Heading to 62° with cloudy skies in afternoon. Got support post installed on barn lean-to yesterday. Before that I decided it was time to clean out the 2 pantries in house. Filled a 45 gallon garbage can with stuff as old as 2002. Can now move all foods into one pantry in kitchen. Did not move play set yesterday. Instead made a new door and trap door for play house.

I do not see any Ad's on my computer, iPad or iPhone when on TBN. At this time Ad Blocker shows 320 blocked items for TBN.

PJ, very nice looking house and yard.

Rich, I will be right behind you. Flu shot the Pneumonia. Probably not on the same day.

Jay, took me awhile to realize that PTO guard will move up out of the way to help install PTO shaft. Makes it easier.

Eric, lots of mushrooms here also. Latest ones are yellow.

Good Morning All.

JB, can't beat a bit of tractor therapy  As a professional experienced into the workings of the mind, have you ever been able to work out why tractors and ride on mowers are so addictive ? Even when physically incapacitated, normally sane people will drag themselves onto their machinery just to get another high, while others risk heat exhaustion and some take to the slopes in less than perfect conditions.

Over the years a few have taken desperate measures to cut out tractors from their lives, selling up and moving to tractor rehabilitation communities, but as we have seen with Don, it is all too easy to regress. There ought to be a place where we can regularly meet up and take it in turns to admit "My name is xxxx and I am a tractor addict".

Oh, Irv has already built that place - this Good morning thread !!!

Oh my, I did not realize I was a tractor addict until Eric pointed it out. The first few months after the move I kept following tractors to see where they were parked - I was stalking the tractors. I even joined two clubs and three SIGs thinking that was the secrete to seat time. It was, I'm Txdon and I am a tractor addict.

44 and crystal clear skies. Should see 73.

Happy Birthday to BEFson and enjoy the seafood.

I really like PB Blaster.

Paul, beautiful place.

Got MIL moved in, and then moved out from the old apartment a table and chairs and a big mounted 12 point buck that wouldn't fit in the new apartment. Brought them and unloaded here temporarily. Then watched Nationals and Strasburg...sorry Paul.

Good morning. My name is Eric and I am a tractor addict. :)

This constantly wet weather is proving a bumper year for fungi. There are some I have not seen before and it is fascinating to see how they develop. Not sure what this one is called, it is black when it comes out of the ground, then morphs into a bright yellow cone before finally turning itself inside out.

The parasol mushrooms are huge this year, growing from a gnarled dome into something the sheep will soon be wanting to shelter under when it rains. Ok, that's a slight exaggeration, however you can see the scale from the beanie hat I put on the ground.

PJ what a smart looking house you live in and captured in pictures that deserve to grace the pages of an up market home magazine

I've never seen anything like your first 2 pictures, but I periodically pull and dispose of the other two from my own yard.

Good morning! Summers Back! 75˚F before sunrise heading to 90˚F.
Meeting up with the FireWise group this morning to clear some under growth in the common areas around some houses.

Then off to the Garden to settle that addiction for a few days.

Whipper loves to whip snakes with her mouth. She flings them so hard they break in half sometimes. In the country she was bitten 4 times by copperheads and had a big round face for several days each time. Whenever she started whipping the snake I had to run away because sometimes she would throw the snake 20 feet.

And YES, here they have a club for that. The pet Club has a SIG called "Snake Aversion". The prominent snake here in the rocky hill country is the rattle snake, a bite would probably kill Whipper. Whipper is signed up for the "Snake Aversion" class this weekend, and yes they use real rattle snakes. I hope this will stop her crazy snake whipping addiction so we can go trail walking this Fall/Winter.
