buckeye; the old 'don't call us, we will call you' line. Don't hold your breath. Would CBD oil help you or is it still illegal in MD?

North Bay run done, no more driving for me today so I can get wasted.

Ram service told me problem I was having with Uconnect software update was happening to everyone; you schedule the update for that night and three times it has not updated. Meanwhile the radio is locked out, not good. So...just guess what the solution is....pull out the radio fuse for 20 minutes and it will reset.
"It's happening to everyone". Sounds like a major screwup to me. The other alternative was disconnecting the battery. Not a customer friendly fix.

been drizzling on and off all day, no accumulation but at least the day is cool.

Interesting, I just got home a few minutes ago and mine was requesting to update told it to go ahead.
Will have to go out and check on it in half an hour or so.

Checking in from Marthaç—´ Vineyard.:

We are having a great time. We can walk to a variety of decent restaurants. I've OD'D on chowda and getting close with the lobsta rolls. I thought that $28 for a lobster roll was a ripoff until I saw the +1# of lobster salad squashed into the grilled 9 bun. Edgartown Lighthouse, Aquinnah (Gayhead), and that little ferry pictured goes to Chappaquiddick Island. An expensive ferry ride to basically nowhere and not taken.

Ted- I am happy to see you posting again, like your attitude, and thanks for the sunrise picture,

David- Thanks for sharing Sophie's morning sunset picture.

BEF and Ted- I wish you better luck with the LTD and SSDI BS.

My + thoughts and prayers.

After reading your issues I checked out a RAM forum and found this;

I spoke with customer support and was told to perform a reboot AFTER the update took place but was still showing as required with the annoying popup "schedule update" screen. My radio was not outputting any sound but would let me change inputs. Backup camera and phone bluetooth worked for calls but not much else.

"Harman Radio FOTA Concern. Customer may postpone the FOTA update up to 20 times. After this, the radio transitions to “forced update” mode, and the user is required to schedule the update. Radio functions are blocked in this mode until the update is completed. In certain cases, under this “forced update” mode, the FOTA may complete, but the popup continues to persist even over ignition cycles. If this condition occurs, the following procedure can be used to recover and clear the popups.

Important: In the recovery process the ignition must remain on and the set time must be allowed to expire prior to performing the two button reset.

Recovery Process to stop popups from recurring:

1. Choose 'schedule Update'.

2. Set time at least 2 minutes ahead of current time. (For example, if the radio currently shows 10:46 AM, set the time for 10:48 AM). This step is to ensure that “set time” is in the future, and not recently past. However, customers CANNOT set time earlier than 10 minutes past the hour. (For example, the set time cannot be anytime between 10:00 AM – 10:09 AM, 2:00 PM – 2:09 PM, 11:00 PM—11:09 PM, etc.)

3. Confirm that the time is set 2 minutes into the future and select 'Set Time'.

4. In the next screen, select 'OK' to approve the installation. Do NOT press the X. Verify the time on the screen is the correct, no digits are missing, same as the time originally selected. If this screen does not appear, re-initiate from step 1.

5. Keep the ignition on and wait for 3 minutes to allow the set time to pass (for example, if the time was set for 10:48 AM, wait until at least 10:49 AM). Ignition must remain on throughout this process.

7. The 'Schedule Update' popup will appear again after the radio resets, but do NOT perform the Set Time at this time. Instead proceed to ignition off BUS sleep cycle.

8. Perform a complete one hour BUS sleep cycle.

a. Ignition off.

b. open door

c. close door

d. lock the door

e. Wait for One Hour.

f. Make sure keys are 25 feet or more away from vehicle if a Keyless Go vehicle.

9. After the one hour BUS sleep cycle is completed, turn the Ignition On, and confirm that the software update pop up is no longer present."

I just checked mine and it seems to have performed the update without an issue,
have to see if it comes up again.

J is having a good time...nice pics.

I have no doubt they will, theyæ±*e too good not to.

not looking good yesterday or today...1 inning left. Astros bats are cold as ice.

PG&E just announced it will begin turning off electricity tomorrow at 4AM to approximately 645,456 customers in over 30 counties in Northern California. High winds and low humidity are the reason; their power lines are poorly maintained and could fall and start a wildfire. In those conditions, it could easily build into another Camp Fire sized disaster.

So far, these Public Safety Power Shutoffs, as PG&E has dubbed them, have gotten plenty of complaints from the ten thousand or so folks that have been effected by them. It will be interesting to see the reaction now that they've spread to the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento, two of California's major metropolitan areas.

With no electricity to power the pumps that move the water firefighters use to battle the flames, PG&E's choice to use Public Safety in the name of these events is ironic to say the least. How many will die when the traffic lights go dark, when critical medical equipment ceases to function, or when people eat food spoiled in refrigerators that have gone warm?

They'll turn it on again when they decide it's safe to do so. This will be the third PSPS for this area. The most recent one started at 10PM on 10/5/2019 and lasted until about 1:30PM the following day. The winds stopped blowing at about noon, presumably removing the risk that prompted the PSPS in the first place. 10,000 or so people in three sparsely populated Northern California counties were effected. This next one will effect 65 times the number of people, and cover 10 times the number of counties. I think I read that after the last one, PG&E inspected over 3,000 miles of power lines, mostly by flying helicopters at low altitudes along the right of ways. They'll probably make a similar boast about how many lines they'll have to inspect this time around so we feel sorry for them having to work so hard, and at that time we might get a better idea how long it'll take before everybody's lights work again. After all, how many helicopters are available on such short notice? It could be just a day. My guess is they'll inspect the major metro areas first, leaving those of us out in the sticks to fend for ourselves for who knows how long.

Truely, this is yet another sign of an approaching apocalypse.

IMO. They are going to force the state to insulate them from any and all lawsuits of providing electricity. Maybe you should have already bought your genset and panels. Now they are going to go up in price....due to demand. Buy stock in Generac.
