Just a show who's boss, PG&E made good on their threat to turn the power off at 3:04 AM. Not a breath of air is moving outside, and the day promises to be a real scorcher. Not sure when they intend to turn it back on, so later this morning I'll fire up the generator, fix some breakfast, and find something out in the garage to do that doesn't require electricity.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 58° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with rain in PM. Got lawn cut yesterday. Still as green as it is in spring. Take dogs in for grooming today. Been working on a arm rest for center console of my Captiva. When Saturn was making the Vue. The console had a slide arm rest. That slid out to provide a place for right elbow to rest. But GM decided not to have it on the Captiva. Hope to get that completed today. First shop project in what seems like a long time.

Jay, Roy and Buckeye hope you are feeling better today.

Drew, waiting for next lab report. I get another report Friday. :confused2: TPMS can be a pain. I used TST with good success. For vibrations try finding a dealer that balances and assembles tires with a Hunter Road Force or Force Match.

Buckeye, I need to remember too slow down to get a better cut for last field cutting of the year.

Wife's dad will begin hospice today in their assisted living community. I'll be taking a single bed over there so my MIL can sleep next to him in his hospital bed, that will be brought in today. I'll remove their current king bed. Doctor thinks he had another stroke and Parkinsons. My wife has been living over there the last 2 weeks helping take care of him.

The fuel depot is convenient, but I need to fire up the PureGas app and see if there's anywhere close with more realistic prices. All the while keeping mind that this is Kalifornia, where common sense isn't so common...

Gas here is $2.24 regular, but $3.39 premium. So the cost of driving a higher performance car is about 33% higher at the pump. Don would know. (I like those Stingers).

RNG, I guess the poor folks will go back to cards and dominoes by candlelight. Hope they don't have oxygen machines.

63°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 79° today, with a chance of rain this afternoon. It was actually starting to rain already when I got to work this morning.

Buckeye does the opener use a learn mode, if so sometimes use have do "add" all the openers each reprogram. .

Inst: press learn button twice, red light comes on ,
: press button on remote. All remote lifhts will blink.

Thats all there is, everything in programming works, except the button doesnt open or close the door afterwards.

Liftmaster video said if in this state, try another remote. If i have another remote, i couldn't find it, so i ordered one that said it's compatible. If 2nd remote fails, replace the RF board in the opener.

I did find out that the wall MyQ button that I replaced has a replacement due to a defect ( I just bought one from amazon) so i filed for a replacement. I want to see if it will work on my slightly older liftmaster. Both openers are jackshaft type.

Touch Disease:


Apple has determined that some iPhone X displays may experience touch issues due to a component that might fail on the display module. An affected device may exhibit the following:

The display, or part of the display, does not respond or responds intermittently to touch
The display reacts even though it was not touched.

Got mine back today. New display installed at local store. Works great.

Is that iphone XR also? Iphone X should be different display.

I just ordered iphone 11 (wanted the pro camera, but not for $500 more) which has same screen as XR, just upgraded processor.

My son had to send in his new samsung A50 for a display replacement. The local repair shops didnt have parts for it yet.
