Drinking first cup of coffee. 58° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 83° with partly cloudy skies. Got corner of tree house jacked up and level. Now you can see the whole structure is leaning to the west. Afraid to pull it back to straight because the 4 post a badly rotted at ground. Going to add 2 new post to one side that should stop leaning. Will get pictures today. Need to do grocery shopping today.
Betty's Red Hat lady's are coming over to pick up all her Red Hat items today. Going to give the 30 women who belong to club some good memories. Betty was first member to sign up when club started 15 years ago.
Bought a 3 quart Instapot earlier this week. Today I find the latest model is on sale for less than the 7 in 1 model I bought. Will be sending that one back. Now I need to figure out how to use it.
One of those wish I had my iPhone with me events. Sassy chasing 3 4' tall Sandhill Cranes out of her yard. She now weighs 7 lbs. :D

David, drone picture shows how big project is.

Kyle, Tell Mrs Kyle Happy Birthday from TBN.

Don, I like my Boars Head Horseradish Bread and Butter Pickles. Just have to remember to take small bites. :licking:

Roy, not something I would look forward too. Hope all goes well.

Drew, a few years ago I removed the generator from my motorhome. Used pallet forks on tractor. Around here it is a $500 flat rate to remove generator from motorhome. Paid for my palette forks in one project.

Jay, glad you are better.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Good morning! 77˚F, What! It's getting warmer not cooler. Glad Fall comes next week.

We had our first trail development outing yesterday. We are making a quick Texas size rabbit hole trail through the brush and trees so the CA can see where the new trail will be. There were four of us in this development phase and in each set of woods we entered we went around both sides and determined which route through it would be best staying out of the flood plain by the creek and out of sight of the new house lots. The rest of the group will be called when we make the trail official and start the widening and mulching. This mile segment will take about a week before we turn around and start the three mile connecting trail with a spur to the new Amenity center. Should be a fun Winter.

Good Morning!!!! 61F @ 5:45AM. Sunny. High 83F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.

Thanks for the mortar primer, Eric. Never heard of lime mortar before. The expertise on this thread knows no bounds!

And now we have Don, Trail Blazer!:D

Three inches of rain in such a short time, that's extreme weather. Seems like I hear a lot of that lately, and I don't know if it's because there is more of it, or if there's just better news coverage.

Hope your maiden voyage in the motor home goes smoothly, Drew, and it meets all your expectations.

Speaking of expectations, yesterday didn't go exactly to plan. Turns out that the rain the day before wasn't enough to make much difference in wheel rolling the trench dirt, and there was too much dirt to begin with. So I used the FEL to scoop some up, several buckets, and move it to another pert of the lot. On the second trip I started hearing a tire rub on something, and the right front was flat. What the heck? Backed it up to the garage, but couldn't get the bead to seat. The starter fluid trick worked, but I sure hate doing it. Dumped in a package of TireJect to plug the hole, then went around checking pressure in the other three tires. That's when I noticed a drywall screw in the other front tire, and when I backed it out, it whistled. The last pack of TireJect fixed it, but not before squirting a big blob of it on the driveway. Garden hose took most of it off, a wire brush got the rest. Still needed more dirt out of the trench area, but I was running out of time. But I'll make sure to check tire pressure before getting the tractor too far from the garage next time.

The van is still having issues that cause the Check Engine Light to be on; and the code is for the Idle Air Control Valve. I poked around the engine yesterday and found that the Throttle Position Sensor was missing a screw, not exactly related, but not happy with finding more sloppy work by the ex-mechanic, either. Replaced the missing screw with one from the junk drawer, recentered the TPS, used the code reader app to turn off the CEL, and headed off to town. Got my errands run, and the CEL stayed off until I got back home and started down the driveway, using first gear to slow the decent down the hill. On popped the CEL, with the same code as before, so today it's back to more reading and research.

TGIF folks!:drink:

I'm surprised that some don't like horse radish. Of course my homemade shrimp dippin' sauce is the only way I use it at home. And while I haven't had any Arby's roast beef sandwiches with horsey sauce in awhile, that's one other way in which I find horse radish to be delicious.

Oops, I forgot; can't have prime rib without a little horse radish sauce.

Happy birthday Mrs Kyle.

54° sunny

I slept in.

Nerve pain is bad today in upper body.

Ron, known a few red hatters, and not just the linux kind.

Shrimp and coctail sauce making me hungry. I had 2 more of the frozen burrito bombs last night, yuck... The rest might find the trash can.

Might have to un dib on the camper. Saw another brand Renegade that looks similar.
$500 just to remove a generator, r u kidding.

Lots changing at work with the buyout. They already moving some groups around. Group i was supporting got pulled out as a new division. They only announced 4 people going there, none of the developers and testers, like me...

My STD got extended to 6 oct now.

Still havent got anyone to respond to my pay snafu. I can see more snafus as things keep changing as they merge the old company into the new. Emails change to their name in a couple weeks, sure that will go well...said no one.

Need to get busy doing something, no PT today. Son over slept, so is staying home. He will be my partner in crime outside today...

67°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 91° today.

I love horseradish. It's long been the "secret" ingredient in my chili, making it just a bit hotter without getting too peppery. I even worked on a horseradish farm for a couple years back in the early '90s. Fresh horseradish is no different than fresh anything else, just so much better than the store bought stuff.

Hope all goes as well as it can for you, Roy.

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Kyle_in_Tex.

Our chickens - and ducks - have been slacking on the egg laying of late. We've been averaging 5-7 chicken eggs and 2-3 duck eggs a day for the last couple of weeks, which is around 50%. Thinking maybe they're fed up with this heat and humidity, too.

Hawkeye- I likened the procedures to the neurologist selectively tasing muscle/nerve groups and timing the reaction times; not unlike an electrician testing continuity and resistances of circuits/cicuit breakers running from the fuse box.

Yep, taser is a good description..

It didn't take too long this morning for both of us to get the second Shingrix shot, then while were there at the Walmart pharmacy, we got our annual flu shots in the other arm.:)

Good Morning everyone!!!!!!

It was a foggy early morning, but ~6AM the fog lifted and the temperature dropped down to 33ºF; 69ºF and sunny; and I anticipate a sunny afternoon with temps reaching into the low to mid 70ºF’s. We had a fun meal with our friends last night at that restaurant. The “B” team did not exactly meet my expectations, but we will go back when the “A” team (owners) are on duty.

Thanks for the + thoughts. I really think that I am over the "daily double." I do not know what triggered the neuropathy; but it was a sleepless night last night, but at least I did not go into the night sweat mode. This AM there was bedding all over the place. Wifey and I have been talking about kayaking a nearby lake in NY. I am essentially worthless for anything work/project related at this point. I might as well take advantage of today’s weather kayaking and test out the new waterproof camera. It’s a small lake and should be an easy paddle even if I am half awake.

David- Thanks for sharing your P3 picture of your newest project. All the DJI Phantom drones have excellent optics and really decent vibration control. For all the money invested in LiPo batteries and chargers, numerous (broken) part replacements, numerous upgraded components; added video cam and TV Tx on my homebuilt I could have bought a quiet P3.

Bruce- It’s vinegar based so it will last sealed in the refrigerator for ~ 1 month before it starts to discolor, but it is still good to eat. FWIW- I finally have a recipe for making my family’s secret recipe Kosher Dill Pickle that will hopefully give me a consistent product.

Eric- We are all just holograms believing that we are real,. I am trying to figure out a way to astral project and/or teleport myself to all these individual finite points that are exhibited here.

Bird- We make our own with ketchup and horseradish as you, but add some lemon/lime juice, a dash of worchester sauce, and maybe a dash of hot sauce. It’s basically a bloodymary mix w/o the booze.

Roy- good luck.

BEF- I am happy to read that your STD was extended; good luck with the payroll snafu. I am sorry to read about your neuropathy. Something was in the air last night; or the celestial spheres were misaligned. Last night I went into strong advocacy mode about your MDiety neurologist. It is a natural reaction for me; I hope you did not take offense. Your pain is a symptom of something deeper going on; I hope your doc is right. I also hope that you and your partner in crime have a productive day together.

Hawkeye- Same principle on a smaller scale IMO. My neurologist may have sadistic tendencies

I hope that everyone is having a decent day today.

My + thoughts and prayers.
