Need to pour second cup of coffee. 52° with mostly clear skies. Heading to 85 with mostly sunny skies. Busy day today. Another coat of paint needed on cellar doors. Mow lawn. Take dogs in for grooming. Then home to relax.

Farmer, glad kid are enjoying the trip.

Roy, my 5 neighbors are having similar problems with comcast. With all their services. They are on a seperate line off the main line I am on. I walked their line with one of the neighbors. Cable is rubbing against trees all they back to the last neigbor. About 1/4 mile. Their problems happen most when it is windy and raining. Without climbing up the trees to look at the cable. My guess is that trees have rubbed thru cable outer covering and wires in cable get wet or are shorted. Another tech is coming out again today. Seems like there is one on that road every week.

Buckeye, hope your back is gets better. Could you be having a reaction to the meds you are on. May be a good idea to check what the side effects of the meds are.

Riptide, that's a lot of rain in a short time. Had a similar storm hit the eastside of Detroit suburbs last week. Flooded streets and homes all over the area. Hope everyone is safe.

Good Morning. It's 77°F and very humid here this morning. We're in another "Heat Advisory" here today with forecast high of 97°F.

Forecasters saying a little something may form up in the Gulf this week and we could see 5-10" of rain starting about a Saturday or ..... it could miss us completely. I think they'll send one of the Hurricane Hunter aircraft out to fly it tomorrow which should tighten up the forecast a bit?

Im going to ER as soon as wife is ready, back in too much pain. Had this 3 yrs ago, slight bulge, got inflamed somehow. Tylenol wont cut pain like it did yesterday.

Good morning! A warm 78˚F as the sun peaks over the horizon heading to the mid 90s. A surprise afternoon 1 1/2" shower yesterday was nice.

Drew, throw an extra pizza in the oven for me also, (no cheese please just substitute mine with nutritional yeast and add a few pineapple tidbits)!

Cat Fever, beautiful hay field in action with a nice backdrop. That would make an excellent painting. paintings are always interesting when something is going on in them.

Ok, today I clear out the tomatoes, just have a few green tomatoes left on the vines and no blooms. I need to amend the soil to perfection for the fall garden.

Great Alaska pics, David. Thanks for sharing. We went to an Independence Day party on Friday at the neighbors across the road from us. They had just returned from a two week Alaska cruise, and found out that another party guest had been there on a different ship at the same time. Seems this is a popular time for such an adventure.

Lynn's pics are always worth viewing as well.

Seriously beautiful pic. I have to ask, what is the small old building in the background? Pump house? Out house? Get out of the cold and not freeze to death house?

It was a grain/seed shed. It was built about 80 years ago not on my property. The owners were going to tear it down, the previous land owner (here) said he would take it. So they put it on skids and moved it to where it sits now. Mosty it's used to store posts/wire now. The backside of the roof is in real bad shape. Here is a better picture of it. The grain cart is still in there at the top of the elevator shaft.

Good morning to all! Low of 54, going up to 90, pure sunshine. All the chances of "heavy rain" went all around us this past weekend. We had one brief shower on Sunday, only .2" of rain in the gauge. No more chances until Saturday, temps getting warmer all week, up to the low 90's.

Not been posting much, last weekend was Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid Ohio. It was hot, humid, it rained, there was mud. But it was still a good time! Only downside, the flat track race Saturday rained out.

Every year I see the photos in the AMA magazine and wish they'd move the date into the shoulder seasons to avoid the heat and humidity of high summer in Ohio. Goodness knows I spent enough summers there to remember how it is, and not fondly! Good you enjoyed it; did you bring home anything interesting?
