Good morning!!!!

Before we got married, my wife was curious about the guns and she once fired ONE shot with one of my .38s. That's the only time she's ever fired a gun. But many years ago, when I worked the late night shift, she sometimes slept with the S&W Chief under her pillow. And any time I went home before daylight, I called her on the phone to put that gun away before I went home and opened a door.

Thanks for the laugh.

Good Evening all.71F this morning, mostly clear, calm wind. Moderate wind today and sky clouded up and looked rainy, and high temp was 91F. Choir practice to start, then mow lawn, clothes could not have been wetter if I wore then into shower after that:eek: After shower and nap trip to town to grocery shop.
Lynn, as was said earlier, the scenery would slow me down.:2cents:
RNG, the possibility that my gun could be used against me would freak me out as well:shocked:
Drew nice to hear all about the haul. please don't forget pics:D
David safe trip home, surely you have more pics hint, hint
prayers for all.

Nice picture Drew. The only visitors, we dispense of here, is water moccasins near the house, shop, horse barn, etc. The rest are live and let live.

Good morning, Goldilocks weather for us, not too hot and not too cold. Which reminds me, have the 3 bears been to your house recently Wng ?

All our *******s and ******* certificates have a "safekeeping" clause that requires us to keep them locked away in an approved cabinet when not in use. Same applies to ***** **********, but not to ******* cartridges. A few years ago they had a campaign to clamp down on this, paying random visits to check on people. Penalty if caught out is to loose license, pay a fine and possible get locked away yourself for up to 6 months.

59 right now...high in the low 80's today. I'm on a short vacation...mostly due to my wife being ill. Ever since the heart valve replacement, she's been getting bouts of vertigo. My stepdaughter normally keeps watch on the wife...but she (stepdaughter) is in Europe on vacation.
Anyway, mowed yesterday and did some trimming...I'll finish up the trimming today,

Actually, that Impossible Burger was first tested in the STL market at Burger King with their Whoppers, and has been around for a few months now. I haven't tried it. Not interested.

I've also seen recently that White Castle now has a "meatless" version of their burger, and heard a news report that one of the pizza chains (Little Caeser's, I believe) will offer a "meatless" version of their sausage pizzas.

I certainly wouldn't say that they're "taking over the industry," but they certainly are making a bigger splash than I think most people expected.

I agree...saw an "Impossible Whopper" - Burger King commercial on TV watching the Orioles baseball game last night. I haven't been in a fast food place in a long time, so don't know if they are selling them locally.

62 going to 92.

Roy, hope your wife is feeling better when she gets up today.

There are reasonably priced handgun vaults that allow a loaded ******* be kept on a bedside table safely, and the gun to be accessed in a under a couple of seconds. I recommend this one:

RAPiD(R) Safes - Hornady Manufacturing, Inc

Eric, the bears are still coming up to the house...they lie down under one of the bird feeder hanging trees, about 15 feet from the house, licking up any spilled seeds. Saw them night before last at about 9pm. We bring in all the "portable" bird feeders each night, and empty the permanent ones, but the goldfinches spill so many sunflower seeds during the day that there are enough to interest the bears. We have ID'ed a family of 3 and a different family of 2, based on size and on a spot of missing hair on one. I have 5 game cams spread around and have been getting pix, day and night on all of them.

We took a day trip over the mountains to the Shenandoah Valley yesterday. We toured Luray Caverns and their antique car museum. Haven't been since I was a kid. They have made many improvements...added an outdoor museum with old valley buildings and barns...moved an old Mennonite meeting house there and in the inside museum they have the 1536 German Bible they used. A very nice display of old valley life.

This pic is of some smaller formations, but the reflecting pool made it special.
