59°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 72° today with rain expected through the middle of the day.

Got home from work last night and started cutting grass in anticipation of the coming rain. Got about 3 hours in before I started losing sunlight. Got most of it cut.

Wife finally got the F-150 into the shop yesterday for various issues. I knew it needed a new alternator, but apparently also needs all new brake lines (rusted and leaking) and new brake pads as well ... which explains the brake light being on. Throw in an oil change, and we'll get it back $1500 "better."

Looking forward to game 7 tonight. Someone will be hoisting the Stanley Cup. Sure hope it's St. Louis.

RNG, sorry about the new tractor issue (flat). We haven't heard anything more about your possible replacement? Maybe another convert to the blue side?

Has anyone seen the VW commercial hinting about a new VW Bus? Looks like it will be electric....just won't be the same. Probably another big mistake like the Bug redo....

Went out yesterday evening to move the tractor, and one of the front tires was flat. Bead popped loose from the rim. No amount of compressed air will reseat it, so after breakfast I'll give it a shot of ether and hit it with a torch. But first I think I'll don a motorcycle helmet, some leathers, and heavy gloves and boots...

Gosh, I just LOVE this :censored: tractor...:smiley_aafz::banghead:
Have you looked at wholesalesolar.com?

I've been seeing those ads during the Stanley Cup Finals. I like that they are re-introducing the old "bus", but I'm not particularly thrilled that it will probably be electric. I get why they are going that direction with it, but It's probably not for me.

I didn't completely hate the Beetle remake. I just wish they'd stuck with the rear engine.

Good morning all,

Upper 40's this morning with a clear blue sky. No wind, looks very nice outside.

Feeling much better today, maybe the antibiotics are finally kicking in. Found out there is a bug going around the valley and many people are sick. Glad I'm on the getting better side of it.

Now that I'm feeling better maybe I can get some work happening with the yard. :)

Prayers for all, have a nice day.

70° and sunny.

Today our company became part of Jacobs. They are having a coolaid drinking session at lunch.

Had to put back some weedblock in the garden, not sure when we had wind, but a little blew.

Not much else to report. Work has been very slow.

Morning all. I'm on the mend. No sleep for the last couple days has me tired and lazy. Now I know why they said bed rest for the first days after surgery.
Looks to be sunny here for a few hours and 70 degrees. Might go out and sit on the porch for a while. Don't have to worry about hayfever with all this cotton blocking my nose.LOL. Will be seeing doctor again on tuesday. Hope everyone is healing and safe!

Yes, about that new tractor. The Kubota I have now has a hydrostatic transmission, and only one go pedal. Push the front to go forward, push the back for reverse. Kind of a rocking motion with your foot, very handy on steep slopes when you really, really, don't wanna go any farther down the hill.

I know John Deere hydrostat tractors use two pedals. What about the blue tractors? Seems like it would be difficult to move between forward/reverse having to jump your foot between the two.

As far as the new bus, I saw one at the 4WD festival in April. It seemed much smaller, and much lower, than any of the previous busses/vans. Not practical at all for camping, or even transporting anything but medium sized people. And if I recall correctly, range was only about 100 miles on a single charge. Yeah, I'd call that a big miss.

Bead back on rim. Took three tries, really nervous about squirting more and more starting fluid in there, and when it did finally ignite, it shot burning liquid out the valve stem for a foot or so. Kinda glad I was on a big gravel pad when that happened.

Once the tire would hold pressire, I found a big wooden thorn stuck in the tire, and also found all my wormy plugs were dried up and stuck to the backing. I had a couple of packs of TireJect on the shelf, so poured in a few ounces and I'm giving it a chance to work before airing up. I also went through two tubes of tire patch glue before I found one with anything in it, even though one of them had never been opened. I guess it's time to go through all the patch kits and refresh the perishables...
