Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 5:00 AM. Rain ending this morning. Breaks of sun in the afternoon. High 64F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 60%.

Woke up to rain a couple hours ago, wind blowing it against the window made a lot of noise. This long, wet spring is gonna make for a huge fuel load and a really bad fire season...

Is it unusual to see bears in your back yard, Jay? I doubt you could outrun that one, even without a brace!

So it was the deeper concrete that stopped your water drill, David? You gave it a good try, and succeeded on the shorter run, but I'm glad it'll soon be done. I bet not as glad as you will be, though.

Hope everyone's enjoying the three day weekend...

Good morning all,

45 to start the day and mostly clear. It did rain a couple times yesterday, short and fast rain showers but enough to keep things wet/muddy.

Prayers for all, have a nice day.

It was 31° this morning. Yesterday was partly cloudy with a high in mid 50's. Today is going to be a repeat of yesterday. The forecast doesn't show it getting much warmer for the week and more showers.

We got the dishwasher in, it took longer then I thought. There was more story telling then work.

Not sure what the plans are for today, I'll see what happens.

Hope everyone has a great day.
CWB.

74 degrees going for 90 today. We can expect miserable weather for at least the next 4 months.:(

Good Sunday Morning. It was 73°F here this morning and clear. The forecasters say we'll see 90°F later today. With 92% humidity it may be another day to do things in tractors with A/C cabs. . Rain is in the forecast for Tuesday thru Friday.

Poor folks in Oklahoma can't catch a break. More tornadoes and bad weather again last night ..... please keep them in your prayers.

I need to mow around the house so ..... will get busy on that before it gets too hot. The Kubota ZT ...... has poor A/C.

Everyone have an enjoyable day.

Prayers to all.

80° with 80 % humidity, heat index is 85. High today low to mid 90s with high humidity.

All the family has headed home, it’s so quiet I can hear the dog and one cat snoring.
Had a good visit though.

Headed to the nursing home in a few minutes.

Hope you all have a great day, but be sure to remember those Gold Star families this weekend.

Prayers to all.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

A humid 51ºF for today's low; a humid mixed sun/clouds 69ºF presently and I anticipate a humid afternoon. In the mid-high 70ºF's.. I would not be surprised to see a popup T-storm/rain showers this PM. I actually turned on the A/C after this AM's walk of the lower perimeter due to the humidity. Wifey and I are going down to CT to celebrate birthdays and Memorial Day with ex-BIL's family. A lot of military in his family  It will be a relatively long day with 4 hours on the road. After Memorial Day I see a lot of days with rain until next Friday.

Mr. Knee thanks everyone for the + thoughts about being brace-free. I/He will still wear the brace for climbing up my hill (which I have not done since January) and when I am carrying weight.

Bears are a fact of life here, Last year it was Momma bear with 3 cubs as the regular visitors. We do not encourage them by leaving food outside. Those bird feeders are the exception. I/we have had 5 bears here on the front lawn and deck at one time years ago when the pear tree was heavily fruiting. They seem to have a weird social system based on hierarchy, scent, and territory. IMHO they are not as solitary as people think. Bears can sprint up to +35mph for short bursts. I did have one encounter with a very agitated sow with treed cubs many years ago . She was more agitated with my crazy coondog mixed dog howling/baying and just having a good old time making a ruckus. I talked to a UMass biologist who specialized in bears after this encounter and he told me the sow would probably not have chased me far due to the dog and her treed cubs. BTW- Bonehead dog survived his encounter without injury.

David- I am amazed with your talents working concrete as well as the rest of your and Sophie's place on a daily basis.

Bruce- Thanks for sharing your rides and picture.

"Tried taking the tractor out in the back yard and promptly sunk in the mud."- Phil. I have not moved my NH far from around the house due to the surface moisture.I may or may not till our garden this week due to the predicted weather for MA.

Bird- Way to hot down in FL for me, but the T-storms are impressive. When a Floridian complains about the heat it is HOT.

Poor folks in Oklahoma can't catch a break. More tornadoes and bad weather again last night ..... please keep them in your prayers- Rick. I think we are seeing a new "normal" weather-wise.

Randy- I am happy you had quality time with your family.

I hope that everyone is having a manageable Sunday.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Good Morning,

Cool here in SoCal, should be in the mid to high 70's, maybe 80's but it is in the 60's instead and will be for a couple of days.
Weather is really screwed up all over the US, God Bless all in bad weather areas.
Need to get the Brush Hog out and go over the areas I cut two weeks ago, should have cut them last week but things get put off.

Thinking on a PHD, $1000, with Auger and free delivery, no one delivers to my area FREE, no matter what they say. Shipping companies always want the EXTRA Charge ! I got a quote from a guy on Craig's List, 30+ hole, for $750, one day operation stated by Operator... could do two days with rented Skid Steer PHD and Augers for only $250 more if we do the weekend... $1000.00 !?!
Thinking it has to be easier to have someone else do the holes for less than buying the equipment and all the labor and headaches of working PHD on a Max 28.

Coffee is bitter this morning, what's up with that !?!

Maybe a Beer... no too early for that; have to get to the cutting and then start the measuring for the Posts... then need to make my mind up... will I or won't I buy and put myself through a load of work putting in some holes for these posts !?!

Must be the coffee isn't working yet, mind is still foggy !

Oh ya, need to re-install my Truck's Windshield Washer/Radiator Overflow Tank, bought a new one from RockAuto... CHINA stuff, who knew, !
The first install of the Tank, when I installed it, it's a new part right, leaking everywhere, didn't check it out, just assumed it was my Windshield Washer Lines, bought new, replaced. Leaking still, took it out, tested for leaks in the container... looks like the gasket is leaking, not able to get a new gasket so a little sealer around the gasket... guess what, it wasn't the gasket. The Pump is leaking from the bottom of the unit, a little Gorilla, waterproof Adhesive and Wham-Bam, no more leaking, (part was beyond the return time, go figure). I left the unit full of water outside last night, if it is full when I check it out, INSTALL time again; 0745 hrs., could get to the fields by 1000 hrs.
Hoping for the best, but we need to address this CHINA parts thing, ok on getting parts from different places but at least make sure they are quality parts.

OK I have said enough I need to add some sugar to this coffee, maybe that is what I forgot this AM... sugar !

Have a GREAT DAY and may God Bless all !

Ltr

Good morning to all! Low of 46, going up to 78. Breezy to windy conditions. No rain forecast.

Did a bunch of errands yesterday...twice. Forgot some stuff that wasn't 'on the list' the first time....

Got a late start doing some outside work on the driveway, but got a lot done....more of the same work is on today's agenda.

Mr knee did not appreciate all the walking/movement yesterday, swelled up last night.... I guess the cortisone shot is wearing off.

Everyone have a great weekend, don't forget to thank a vet! Prayers sent for all.
