Eric, looks like a better pillow than the one I see advertised all the time from Minnesota. Anybody have one of Mike's pillows? I've never tried one but my wife has and wasn't impressed.

I went shopping for a new pillow last year, and the reviews on those pillows weren't very good. I ended up with one of these. It's soft but supportive, and I really like that they included way more stuffing than was needed. As a side sleeper I was able to get it thin enough to be comfortable. I even used a bit of the filler in my camping pillow; what a big improvement that was!

Good Morning!!!! 62F Clouds and some sun this morning with more clouds for this afternoon. High 83F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow were due for rain showers all day with high winds. A couple of the guys will arrive this afternoon to hopefully avoid getting wet, and with a little luck, it'll be dry for their ride home on Sunday. I was watching the time lapse weather model for tomorrow on the news last night, and right about dinner time it showed a storm cell here all lit up in yellow and orange. Think I'll move the BBQ under the porch cover today...

I made a big pot of chili in the Instant Pot last night; it's been on slow cook all night and the house smelled wonderful when I woke up this morning.:licking: If it needs anything it'll have plenty of time to cook in, as I'll just let it go on low all day.

Swung by the BMW dealer in town to pick up some parts for some of the guys, mostly oil change and tune up kinds of things. Got home in time to scrape the driveway clear of gravel, and the rain'll put a nice finish on it tomorrow. Also got the spare tire installed on the van with the bolt I picked up in town; nice to have that wheel out of the way after tripping over it all winter.

Still have the garage to clean out; I think a lot of the stuff in there will end up in the van. At least I'll be able to find it again next week!

TGIF folks!:drink:

It's 28° this morning with some high thin clouds. Yesterday was in the mid 50's with a cold wind 15-20 mph. Today is going to be sunny and In the mid 60's and not as windy.

Don't have any plans for today maybe do something out in this garage.

Eric ... I like the picture of the lamb.

We were on are way home yesterday and I took a picture of one of the peaks south of us. It's mount Tokewonna it's just over 13,000 thousand feet. It on the Utah side of the line. We still have more snow on the ground then what's in the picture. We live about 7 miles south of where the pictures was taken.

Hope everyone has a good start to the holiday weekend.
CWB.

45°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 57° today. Drove through a light shower just as I crossed the Mississippi River on the way to work, but only lasted a few minutes.

Did some MIDI editing on a drum track last night. Finally remembered to snap a pic of the new stands doing their thing.

Not a great pic with the phone camera, so here's a snip from the Gear4Music website, too. They are a little wider than I'd hoped for, but work fine nonetheless. They are made of steel, and are quite sturdy.

Eric, your pictures remind me how much I'd like to take a nap today.

Good Morning Everyone and a Happy Good Friday, and Passover!!!!

A humid/drizzly 44ºF for today’s low a humid 51ºF presently; a rainy high 60ºF’s anticipated this PM. “Great weather” to drive down to CT. We’ll see how Mr. Knee and Ankle like the drive. We may only stay one night, maybe two. Brogen will be going to the doggy gulag. He loves going there even though he spends his time in “solitary.”

There is an Aldi in Pittsfield, MA right next to a TSC. I should check it out.

Rick- At least the trip to Europe will be on your terms and you will have some touring benefits. You worked hard to gain your unique skills and knowledge; stating/posting about your skillsets is not bragging. This thread is packed full of uniquely skilled and talented posters. I learn something new here everyday.

That is good horseradish, then.- Bill That’s the way I make it and like. Too much will take your breath away. Simple ingredients = grated horseradish + white vinegar.

Eric- I am happy to read that you were able to cut up/out the downed branch and make such a nice pillow for your cute lamb. Thanks for the picture.

I recently smoked a boneless leg of lamb; the first time that I/we had lamb in ~9 months. I had strange dreams that night. If/when I/We want lamb we can get it locally, antibiotic and hormone free, free ranging, humanely raised and slaughtered. "Red"and "white" meats are also available around here; raised and processed similarly to the lamb.

RonJH- I hope your stomach distress resolves today.

Claye- You live in a beautiful area. Thanks for sharing.

I hope that everyone has a decent and safe Holiday weekend with family and friends

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

The talk about horseradish reminded me of when I was first married and my new wife accompanied me on the road. I liked to have a ham and swiss sandwich at the Blue Mountain tavern in Walla Walla Washington. We went to lunch there when servicing customers in the area and she told the server, "I'll have the same" when I ordered my ham and swiss. The mustard they use has horseradish in it, I did not know she did not care for horseradish.. it did clear her sinus' quickly.

collards to food pantry, okra planted, found another tray in greenhouse, how could I miss it...think I'm going to call a neighbor and see if he wants these okra plants. I already have plenty.
then in rising winds picked a big basket of collards and bagged them up as house presents for tonight's dinner.
Also taking a bottle of wine. Starting to sprinkle now but don't think we'll get a hosing until dinner time.
Right when that poor guy is going to try to cook
burgers on the grill.
I'm finding a comfortable chair...while I find out my blind date enjoys a good Red Man chew and spit.;)
Try some?
and for sure, avoiding all discussions of politics or religion.
Let's see, where were we, fertilizer preferences?...
John Deere or Massey? Oh, Case IH? Well, which model...
Actually the smart thing is always to let them talk about their grandchildren.

Now if I worked up the energy, I'd go pick one of my few first roses and take it over in a little tiny vase for my new friend.
With a vase (shot glass) that's manageable in the cupholder of a car getting home, with a napkin around it.
This has worked nicely in the past.
And if she doesn't look like a gorilla I'm sure I'll have a good time.

NWS says we had two tornadoes from the last storm, an EF2 on the ground for 9 miles and EF1 on the ground for 6.2 miles. A lot of damage in lower Delaware.
69 now with light wind, but it痴 coming.

my friend's home in Milton got ripped up a little too:
field adjuster ok'd the entire triangle. 2 full squares. Many other seals have failed, but they won't replace unless torn or creased. Do I detect some rotation here? The second twister, an EF-1 was only about a 1/2 mile from here and flattened some barns on Carpenter Road!
