Paul- I am happy to read that your assembly of the new workstation was successful and you did not post about having any leftover parts.

Hahaha ... that would have been pathetic indeed, Jay. The desk came in a box with only the legs detached. On the bright side, though, in addition to the requisite screws and washers, it also came with dowels and wood glue. For a $59 cheapie from Walmart, I'm somewhat impressed. It's quite sturdy.

RNG sure you have it in you.
I mixed a pallet (42 80lb bags) at a time with my little 2 bag mixer.
The secret is to cut the bags in half in a wheelbarrow before lifting them in the mixer. I poured 12 pallets after my heart attack. Oh wait, you’re not on a plant based diet - hire it out.

Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 7:45AM. Mostly sunny. High 74F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.

What a relief those positive test results were, Kyle, but if you're still feeling under the weather, they're not much consolation, either. Here's hoping the surgery will do the trick and you'll be back to your old self in a couple weeks.

That video was no laughing matter, Don. Really sad that man let himself get into that condition. On the other hand, I'm happy to hear you took so well to the wood shop training, and are now fully qualified to join planets. Once you've finished your wood projects, perhaps NASA could put your new found skills to good use?

I'm glad cooler heads prevailed, Rich, and you're not running off to Europe half cocked. Right out of school I found myself asked to make a weld at the bottom of a water filled nuclear reactor vessel using equipment I determined was not up to the job. After a month of waiting for another fiasco to be fixed, the feces hit the fan when I was unable to get the job done. When I reminded the man in charge he'd been told of the problem weeks before, he lunged at me as if to shake me by the collar. Fortunately for me, I was on the other side of a containment barrier, dressed in a bunny suit and decked out with dosimeters, and was able to narrowly avoid his grasp. But his drill sargent's voice set the whole building ringing. After he calmed down, he directed his wrath where it needed to go and two days later I was finally able to return home, not to a hero's welcome, but to criticism from the same manager who's poor decisions caused the situation in the first place. It wasn't long after that i found a much better job elsewhere...

Had lunch with my buddy that runs the custom motorcycle shop in town yesterday, and he's working on a new project to mate a '60 era Ford pickup truck body to a '90s era Crown Victoria chassis, both of which were purchased at auction for less than a grand total. Guess things must be slow on the motorcycle side. Aside from the vibration, the van ran well, the only issue being a small oil leak from the new decoupler that I think will be easy to fix with some teflon pipe thread tape. The good news is there was no sign of a leak around the oil pan, and my suspicion that the oil I saw there before was coming from the old decoupler may be correct. That leaves me to focus on the drive shaft and getting the transaxle and front differential properly aligned to quiet the shakes. More quality time on my back, squinting and measuring.

TGIF gang!:drink:

PJ, setup looks nice.

You dont want to see my sound studio at the church building, it's a mess. Lol.
I did install a new computer / server recently. I record audio with Sony Sound forge, from a Mackie mixer. I now record and stream video with OBS Open Broadcast Studio. Periodically the OBS sound gets an echo to it. Havent figured out why.

I get portland cement free, when the trucks crash below the house and spill a whole load.... Actually, they clean it up good before they open the road. We average 1 wreck a year like this, some worse than others. They knocked the concrete side of the bridge off before. 20180720_cementtruckwreck.jpeg

64°F and 3.15 inches rain. More coming I suspect.
Trip to PO this morning. Get taxes checked and filed. Some mowing if it dries, but otherwise suspect it will be an indoor day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Dang  hope the driver was okay.
Must be interesting if 2 big trucks meet on the bridge same time.

3 inches of rain for David, just a shower in Paradise.

just got out of shower, friend stopping over for glass of wine, good to get off feet.
A fine day, work crew and I picked about 100 pounds of collards, then they hand weeded beets and carrots in the garden,
helpers left and I took collards down to food pantry, then home to cultivate fields. Fiddled with hiller on Super A, got it angled better, hilled in first, realized I had to bite bullet and go faster, redid in second and that chucked the dirt back up on the potatoes. Missed one area and almost tore out the row, woe was me. Had to go back later and fix/hide that. Seriously bad driving.

Then fireman neighbor came over with friend and they got the cultivators onto the Farmall, and then cultivated the collards with that.
When done, both fields were looking pretty good. Super A back to leaking engine oil like a sieve, need to tighten up a bunch of gaskets.
After running for awhile, oil pressure drops to pretty low. Going to change oil and switch from 30W to 40W and see if I can keep that hot oil pressure up a bit. Tired old motor that starts instantly, just becoming a senior dripper.

I did not wear my good headphones while driving that tractor and boy is my head buzzing now.
But overall left ear doing a little better. All improvements accepted.
