If today was a day you could pick anything in the world you wanted to do what would that be?

Personally I would take the UTV and go to the mountains of WVA to ride the trails

33 right now...had a dusting of snow (about ½") last night. Should all go today as the high will be in the mid-50

Probably a dump run today, do my laundry from my trip to Connecticut and assemble a tow-behind aerator that was delivered while I was in training. I'll be using the Z920 or Gator to tow this unit
Areater.jpg
Lawn is still snow covered, so won't be doing any aeration today!

RNG, I've not heard of Chapman screwdrivers before. I have a little Bacho 1/4" rachet set that has a holder for standard hex bits. The one you showed on amazon looks to have hard edges, would a rounded shaft be easier on your fingers ?

The handle on the Chapman ratchet is smooth enough, Eric, but the utility of the tool comes mainly in how thin it is, and how it can reach a fastener in places too small for ratchets like the one shown in your photo. My fingers were sore, though, from pushing on the end of the regular hex bit I used, which didn't have the little burrs needed to keep it from slipping out of the Chapman ratchet. They're even more sore this morning, as yesterday I managed to puncture one on something, scratch another, and drive a good sized splinter under the nail of a third. I have a feeling "ouch" will be a part of my activities for the next few days...

Toppop, cool Monte Carlo. Very sleek. Once you "decontent" them is that now a restomod? Not sure of class it goes in, other than fun car.

Drew, the only de contenting i did was remove the Monte Carlo shield from the grill and removed the front tag bracket, Actually most clubs stopped doing class shows years ago, they are nearly all participants choice. I put a sign on my dash that says DO NOT JUDGE. I threw away over 50 trophies seven years ago when we built this house. They were fun for a few years, but after that they were just dust collectors. I kept the ones from the Woodward Ave Dream Cruise shows and those from Daytona and Carlisle.

Cool and foggy this morning, 51 now, might get to 65 later if we are lucky. Headed to the show, have a good day, God bless you all.

Good Morning!!!! 52F @ 5:15AM. Cloudy with rain ending for the afternoon. High 64F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70%.

Only a quarter inch of rain fell yesterday, but it was spread out over most of the day and kept the ground from drying out, so I stayed inside. Got the other carb cleaned and installed, so that bike should start and run now. But with more rain today, I'll swap it on the lift for the new arrival, which is getting an upgrade to the top end with high compression pistons. The heads need to be sent in to have another spark plug hole drilled, so I'll see if I can't get them off and boxed up today. Got a nasty letter from the DMV yesterday telling me they will revoke the registration on that bike if I don't send them proof of insurance. Why would I insure something that'll be in pieces for at least another month?:confused2:

Sounds like you might be getting ready for another season of brick pointing, Eric?

Hope you get things straightened out with the dealer, Ted. Some folks have a hard time learning that fast is no good when the work is done poorly. But over promising and under delivering are classic sales department behaviors that a lot of people just ignore these days, so it turns into a big deal when someone calls them on it. I'd be majorly pi$$ed if I found all those crimp connectors under my brand new truck, too!:censored::punch:

If I could go anywhere, I'd rent a motorcycle in Munich and ride around in the Alps for a couple of weeks. Most fun I've ever had with my clothes still on, and I'd like to do it again before I get too old.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable and productive weekend!

It just seems that incompetence has now become the "normal". After I got home, wifey and I had that discussion of 'how many people are taken' without even realizing that they didn't get what they paid for. I almost believe that they "plan" for the "sheeple" to just go along with whatever they are told. I heard every excuse in the book when they were trying to get out of fixing the hitch. When I didn't back down, and was able to provide evidence of the mistakes, they changed their tune real quick!

Here's a pic of the wiring where they cut the plug off. And one of the stickers right on the hitch! They were actually trying to argue that one!

LS ... if you paid your Nissan Dealer, extra $$, for the hitch, etc. you should drop it in their lap and no need for you to have to deal / argue with the third party hitch installer. Your Dealer should have stepped up in the beginning instead of forcing you to go try to resolve THEIR problem.

But, like RNG noted, find out if a Class IV hitch is available for your truck. Then ...... put the squeeze on your Dealer to get this squared away.

Good morning to all! Low of 40, going up to 67. A little breezy this morning, hopefully calming by this afternoon.

David, nice flail! Sounds like you got some good customer service w/o any hassle. Seems to be rare these days.

Randy, enjoy the show and the whole day!

Drew, I won't be towing anywhere near the capacity, but it is merely principle. ALL of the Nissan hitches are class IV. Every last one of them on the lot. Any mention of the hitches in the owners manual, towing manual, accessories brochures, and on-line all state "class IV". Better to be way under capacity, than pushing towards the limits. Then the mere principle that they messed up the brake controller and the wiring. (Supposed to have ALL repaired / replaced this morning)

RNG, That's one of the first things I said to them..."OK, get my Jeep back, deal is over, I 'll go elsewhere". Of course that "wasn't possible"..... So they are going to install genuine Nissan parts.... My suspicion is that they are going are going to strip out another truck on the lot to get the Nissan parts.

I've got to get going... Don't want to be late for the appointment! I'll let everyone know the outcome.

Have a great day! Prayers out for all

I would like to be cruising in a motor home in the southwest.

fond memories I'm sure.

and now of course, you could pick any motorhome you ever wanted, the very best.
I'd go smaller this time, easier to drive.

Oh, and if I could do anything today....well it WOULD NOT be going to the dealership!

If you have a Kindle or a book, it helps. Otherwise the time seems to drag very, very slowly. Let's see, loud tv with stupid game show on, nothing interesting in the Ram/FCA showroom. Now what...
And make sure they seal those electrical connections well. You might go back after they are done and do some more sealing.
I use Liquid Rubber at times, on connections that would get cut anyway to fix.

Makes you wonder about all the hitches put on by those chain hitch shops.

Don, first it was playing on tractors without paying for them, now you have virtually free access to all the tools and materials you could ever want. To think just 6 months ago we were all worried you would get bored out of your mind. Only one thing missing now - a club that scrapes out cattle grids with a teaspoon :)

I still have two little shovels that clears dirt from cattle guards so I have to find another use for the two golf clubs my brother gave me. The guy that is leasing Mom's field for his cattle just last week brought his Bobcat over and lifted the cattle guard out and cleaned out under it so his cows would not get into the yard AGAIN. He also put a electric fence on the chain link fence after his cows caused $300 damage to the well plumbing inside the yard. The yard clover looked so good to eat.

The SUV quest has taken a turn. I rank the SUV 1. Mazda, 2. Kia, 3. Toyota, and my wife ranks them 1. Toyota, 2. Kia 3. Mazda. It's her car that I will drive a lot so we re-visited Toyota. I still had a big problem with the $1,500 of extras the dealer added on I got into a lively discussion with the sales man, his solution was to not charge me for any I would have not ordered. The closest one on the lot was AWD and I have been going back and for between AWD and 2WD. He tried desperately to close the deal but I told him I'd think about it.

Rain is headed this way, 68˚.

LS, they sure tried to pull one over on you, good for you for catching it.

Sounds like fun.

Nothing really comes to mind for me.. Maybe go back to the colorado ranch and ride horses...

Course driving around the alps again would be fun, I'd use a car. Munich is beautiful this time of year. We celebrated our anniversary at the Rathskeller, under the glockenspiel in 1998. Such a fun trip.

Wife went down to Laurel today. She got lost, but has now arrived at her destination. Roads have changed since we moved from there 30 yrs ago. I have to give her detailed directions, like left here, right here.... She ran into a traffic circle and it was all over....

Need to do something, subaru oil needs changed. So do tractors, but not sure what i have in stock for them. Only 41°
