AG is one of the biggest "Green" hypocrites of all time. The energy consumption of all his homes and waste in some around the globe probably exceeds the energy consumption of some third world country. Yes I do live in MA; the mambee pambee state.

Interesting article. It reinforces my belief that all pols are greedy, self-serving, self-interested individuals out to get one's money and vote with little to no interest in their constituents beyond their $ and vote.

I never knew PJ was locked and loaded. Well someone has to work down there, right?

Yeah, I'm the guy my friends call a "gun nut." Always have been a *******s enthusiast. Unfortunately, living in the Land of Lincoln, we only just got concealed carry law passed a few years ago, and then only because it was mandated by a federal court ruling. Illinois' CCW law as written is a big mess. Fortunately, adjoining states like Missouri recognize it.

Funny thing about working were I do ... I passed over the ads for this job several times when I was job hunting, always because of the location. This is one of the most violent areas in the country. Apparently, I wasn't the only one dismissing it either, as the President of the company called me within 15 minutes of sending him my resume. Not easy to get people to work around here.

I remember working in downtown Trenton NJ, right near the center of town, and had to escort the female
employees to their cars because of personal violence and crime in the area. Very thankful when we moved out of town.
I could look out my window and see prostitutes working the street and guys meeting for drug buys.
Sure had never seen that before, except on tv...

Some of the things that go on around here are scary, to say the least. During the drive into work every morning, I hear news of shootings in this neighborhood pretty much every night. I still have the 9mm bullet on my desk that bounced around my office last year. Our Project Manager found a handful of spent 9mm cases on the sidewalk outside our front door one morning last week. Last summer, someone ambushed a car at the intersection just about 50 yards away form our building; guy stood up through the sunroof and unloaded through the windshield of the car behind them, killing the passenger. There are frequent shootings on the parking lot of the gas station / convenience store across the street. The owner of that station was robbed and killed a couple years ago on his way home one night. The stories just go on and on, sadly.

So, yeah ... I come here armed every day.

fields were too wet to fiddle with, found a little water at the bottom of one furrow and everything else was just mushy. The tiller will make wonderful fluffy planting soil here but only if the ground dries out a little. So I must be patient. Can't be patient with cabbages, they are ready to jump out of the greenhouse. Need to get them out of the trays, getting too big for those 200 holers. They are going inside the fence so whenever I want to plant I can.
Waiting for this cold snap to go by.

Finished the electric trench, first time this year soaked my shirt in sweat, actually felt good though sure won't feel good later.

I then considered going over and chainsawing that downed tree for a while and decided tomorrow was another day.
Trying to pace myself

Now to call the electric company and ask them why when I checked their online system two days ago they said I had a zero balance and yesterday I got a bill saying I was overdue and a deadbeat...they must be pulling their hair out since usually these things are widespread. Big software change end of last year, all prior autopay arrangements blown out (I'd fire that programmer...) and now we all scramble to fix it.
