Today is the second day of this storm. Should top 6in in 24 hours. Fields look like lakes. This isn't normal for Central Texas. NTW; 45 this morning. Normal high is 80.
Can you just add the old drive to the new computer? That痴 what I did when I went to my terabyte system 4-5 years ago.
I need the bigger boot drive, it's working ok, but still need to solve the bitlocker issue. I have been working my way through the google results for my error message, even chatted with IT support for company this morning.. they tried some things that I tried last night, didn't work any better this morning. They are apparently working their way through the fixes same as me, except I am 4-5 attempts ahead of them, so cut them loose for now. If I can't solve it today, I will go back to original drive and remove Windows versions (just did big update so not ready to remove previous version yet).
I didn’t really need the second drive but it had a ton of pictures and old articles I had written for Motortopia and Hemings. It was easier in my case to just install the old drive beside the one in the machine, rather than transfer everything.
Good Morning!!!! 69F @ 5:15AM. Sunny. High 84F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph.
Finally, someone from the Sias company that knows what they're doing and does what they say they're going to do. Got a call yesterday morning from the truck driver that had the bumpers, saying he'd be in Oroville in a couple of hours. I asked him to call again when he was a half hour out, he did, and I met him at the HD parking lot. Backed up to his truck, we transferred the pallet and bumpers, and it was a done deal. While I was in town, I picked up a 4'x8' sheet of ABS plastic from the auto upholstery supply shop to use for new door cards on the Vanagon.
I also noticed that when I went to start the truck in the parking lot, it was very slow to crank again, and I heard a bit of solenoid rattling as well, so I got out the battery load tester, disconnected each battery, and tested them. They both came out OK, but the terminals on one were a little loose. Cleaned up both sets and shot them with LPS3, and the truck started right up. Not celebrating yet, though, as that was too easy a fix.

Got the bumpers out and test fit them to the Vanagon. There were no instructions or photos provided on just how that should be done, so a flurry of text messages and pics were exchanged with the fabricator to get me pointed in the right direction. Not real happy with the fit, as there are a few places where they are very close to touching the body, but a little time with the saber saw today will fix that. These were pretty much prototypes for a new line he'll be coming out with, so glitches like this were somewhat expected. The build quality is excellent, though. Heavy quarter inch thick aluminum on the outside with thick steel frame underneath. I'll smooth out the welds, scuff 'em up with the D/A sander, and shoot 'em with bed liner today.
Only 1 "drive" slot for M.2, I used adapter for old one so I could plug it in for cloning, but the heat would be too much to leave it that way.
