Anyone here have experience with beekeepering?

Yes, but not in the last 64 years. I was with my Dad squirrel hunting one day when we found a bee tree on a neighbor's land. Dad went and told the owner, who said he didn't want them, but we were welcome to them if we wanted them. I had to help Dad cut that tree down, split it, find the queen and put her in an empty hive box along with some honey comb, etc. That worked out so well that Dad bought 6 more hives. And ever since then, I've always said that I'd never eat anymore honey if I had to take it away a bee myself.

Good Morning!!!! 60F @ 5:45AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 74F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Wow! You all seem to be staying busy this weekend! Knock it off, yer makin' the rest of us look bad!

My search for the missing windshield wiper hardware was fruitless yesterday, though I did manage to get through seven or eight boxes of parts and do some rearranging and throwing out. I did get the windshield wipers mounted on the van using some stainless steel lock nuts and washers I keep on hand, but will have to order the decorative plastic caps that hide them. Also got the front grills installed, and one mud flap. Instead of the sheet metal screws they came with, I used nutserts in all but one location. It turns out that if the metal is too thick, the nutsert will collapse without mushrooming, and will then come out of the hole. The junk drawer held one giant hex head sheet metal screw that was just right for the now oversize hole, but today on the other side, I'll just tap the hole and be done with it.

Also on the agenda is installing a Blazecut fire extinguisher in the engine compartment. Vanagons are notorious for engine fires due to the plastic fuel line fittings VW used. They've all been either eliminated or replaced with metal ones on this engine, but better safe than sorry. VW also changed the 2'x3' metal door over the engine to plastic in the later models, so I'll salvage the steel one off the parts car and use that instead. It's a little heavier, but it won't melt and let the fire spread into the rest of the body if the Blazecut isn't enough to stop the flames.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

Want a couple of charging ports on side of Island. Turns out these receptacles are bigger than GFI receptacles. Finding a electrical box that it will fit has been a problem. Think I have it figured out. But way to much thinking.

If you give up on the boxes, Ron, one of these covers might work for you...

I can't believe it was 54° this morning, yesterday wasn't to bad, low 70' sunny and windy. In the afternoon the smoke from the fires in Ut showed up.

Drew ... It looks like a fair chance off snow at the end of the week if the forecast holds true.

I took the grandsons and daughter shooting yesterday morning. The grandsons just passed their hunter safety last week and wanted to go shooting. The oldest has eye problems and has a hard time seeing the iron sights, so he got the gun with the scope. We all had a good time.

Going to start getting things together for the up coming hunts this fall. I'm still not sure if we are going to use the camper or the wall tent. The camper is in the shop getting some work done on it. And the way that's been going I'm not sure if it will been done. Kind of like RNG's problems with his ride.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.
