Kyle my mower turned out to have junk in the fuel system. Specifically the cut off valve. I went ahead and had the dealer pull the tank and clean it all out. Only got an hour on it since it came back. No mowing today. Escorted daughter to her new job in DC today. Stopped by to see some old friends here and there. Told her how proud I am of her and welcome to the rat race.
Run in roof in the AM. Maybe do some grass.

You sound like a great dad. Will her commute be really long everyday? Hope your mower is fixed. Mine needs some TLC after all, it is 13 years old.

I love my kids so much, that I told my oldest 13 year old (with a bit of ugly duckling self complex because of acne right now), that she could live at home as long as she wants to, as long as she contributes. (Now she'll probably move out when she's 18 and never come back....LOL.


A question for all who have kids. Are your kids more, (or less) outgoing than yourselves? meaning able to start conversations with people (they don't really know) and enjoy it.....Not that I want her talking to total strangers, but like to people at church.

So someone hits me in a fender bender, no hurt, but someone dials 911 and they sent multiple firetrucks. Who pays? I sure wouldnt want to, if im not hurt, and wasnt at fault.

Yet i see fire trucks responding almost daily to minor accidents.

Most fire dept here are vfd, but county is starting to add paid personnel if they cant staff. I support them, voluntarily.

THE VANAGON HAS PLATES!!!! What a hassle you went through for the plates, and for the 2-3 years it seems now...

Have had 2 friends with Bells palsy. One was permanent, the other it lasted about a month. He couldn't even wink his eye for a few weeks. But he healed up I guess OK.

Rip, now my 2005 deere riding mower is cutting out after 15 minutes or more. It was doing it to my daughter, so I'm not sure yet if it is gas or spark related. It sounds spark related like the seat safety switch or something is acting up...

There was an underground city in cappadocia, and underground churches. Mostly to hide from persecution.

Ive taught a few bible classes.....took a yr teaching 1&2 Samuel.

Kyle check color of the spark plug. If the plug is light color I would suspect fuel related, if dark, spark related issues.

We spent, spend a lot of $$$ on acne meds. See a dermatologist, they help a lot.

Probably a lot more outgoing than i was at their age. Oldest does well with strangers. Youngest ok, but doesnt initiate conversation.

They had a very minor fender bender with a Prius in front of work, about a year ago. Fire truck came and sprayed some sort of chemical spray over entire car....

The collection rate for ambulances is less than 50%, I'm guessing it would be even worse for fire trucks because there is no insurance coverage that goes directly to the fire units. Once bills start coming out people will not call because they won't want their name attached to the incident and possible billing. That will relate to late notification and a much larger fire.
I was driving down a country road during a lightning storm and saw a barn on fire and called it in. It turned out to be an intentional burn to get rid of the old building, by my uncle! :ashamed:

Grass finally dried enough to mow yesterday afternoon, but I didn't finish. So I'm canceling our mountain hike today and trying to get it all done. Mowed an inch higher than normal, and still have some clumping since the grass was tall and thick and moist. Got my zero turn stuck twice by trying to mow around the perimeter of a fairly recently tilled food plot. Both times I drifted too far off the turf and the left rear tire sunk into what seemed like quicksand mud. The first time I was able to lift the deck and then drive out, and then drive it over to the hose to wash it off. But the second time I sunk it up to the frame and had to use the tractor FEL to lift up the rear so I could place a board under the tire. So off to the hose for another wash off, and then back to the yard to finish a different section. Staying away from the low area for a few more days. Even with 12 inch wide rear tires, 1,300 lbs of mower just sunk and then sat there spinning. Never had trouble with traction before on hills or damp grass, but deep mud got me.
