Good morning!!!!

when I was out walking with the wind up I kept an ear out for cracking noises. Did not want to get impaled by pine spear.
Yes, a little spooky out there with wind blowing.
Currently a very happy camper, if only for a while, as public power came back on after 13 hours. Nice to turn everything back on again.
Lot more rain to come, trees will come down, only Round 1.
It did feel good going for a long walk after being cooped up.

With at least another full day of rain ahead, maybe two, with that generator running, it felt like being anchored out on my old boat in the Keys
when it rained the entire weekend. Which it sure did at times.

Good to hear the worst of it wobbled away from you.

Looks like my cousin in Columbia SC will have a few wet days too.

Good morning! Drew, Glad you escaped the wind and Flo simmered down to a 1. Still plenty of excitement in 90MPH winds. Do you know the wind speed and gust in your area?

Good Morning. At 0905 it's sunny, 81F with 81% humidity. Forecast high/low of 94/75F with 0% chance of rain today. This is the first day with no chance of rain that I can remember this summer.

Margie is going to run to Marianna with Sister in a little while. I have to mix up some BT. Weird looking worms on my Tangerine tree. I'll go ahead and hit the Armenian cucumbers too. Their leaves are getting eaten by worms almost too small to see.

But so far I have been lazying around the house watching F1 practice from Singapore. I am not happy about NBC passing on F1. ESPN bought the rights, but they are just sharing the Sky Sport feed. I had grown to really like the team of Hobbs, Matchett and Diffey. And I was getting used to Will Buxton as pit reporter. Oh well. I guess my problems are good ones to have.

Hope everyone has a safe day.

This warm welcome back feels so good I may stay gone another year or two, just to do it all over again.

Thomas, my tractor is 16 years old. I have never had it back to dealer for maintenance. I like your idea of having dealer come out and do it. Tractor is right at 500 hours. I have all the fluids and filters to get it done. Need to do a antifreeze change also. My arm says do not do it. Closet dealer is about 20 miles away. Need to call and see if they do field service.
.........
"My arm says do not do it"
I know what you mean not as young as we use to be,and nothing worse trying to untangle one self from a knot.

KInda like insurance policy or peace of mine...filters fluilds,PSI testing, check this check that etc. winters can be extra hard on them.
Talk to service this morning earliest they can be at my home 9am tomorrow morning.

Drew, watch out for flying fish, with the waves and wind you all have down there it seams to me there might be a few. :) Hope you find something that keeps you from being stircrazy. Ed

Just finished putting the new gasket in the valve on the pool filter. I had been told to put Vaseline on it and it died in less than a year. The pool place told me to use silicone so maybe this one will last longer. Ed

This long wet summer has been rough on my Armenians. My saved seeds were not pure anymore. I had some cukes on my first planting, but they didn't all look right, so I picked up a 1/4 pound on Amazon. Now I'm planting every month when the good above ground days come around. They vine and bloom, but during the hottest part of the summer, the fruit just didn't set. The youngest are not blooming yet, but I have a few on the next to youngest round.

Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 8:45AM. Sunny. High 77F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Glad you folks in Virginia are still afloat! Florence is still packing lots of rain, so let's hope it stays that way. No word yet from my friends in New Bern, though the town made the news:
New Bern to 15 Stranded Residents: 'We Are Coming to Get You' | The Weather Channel

Ended up working on the wiring most of yesterday as the screws to mount the ignition switch showed up with the mail. McMaster-Carr is back to one day delivery in my area! Wired front turn signals, positioned speed sensor on front wheel, and installed a battery and the left hand switch cluster. The rally computer fired right up, a good sign, as was a lack of smoke.

Margie's plans got changed. Sister is having to run her mother in law to the ER. She is having some sort of eye issue. But Margie's friend called and ask her out to lunch. Just a little later. I don't have to be at work until noon tomorrow, so I'm going to grab some leftovers out of the fridge and head on out to the river camp. As soon as I get the spraying done.

Here is a look at my funky worms. You guys ever seen any like this? I had them two years ago, and didn't catch them before they had stripped the whole tree. {sorry for the fish eye. My garden camera has a big crack in the lens cover, and I bought a cheap gopro knockoff instead of another real camera}

Don't know about the worm, but that vine in the background, we have been pulling it for 15 years here. It takes over - everything.

snuck out to pick okra and cukes, did ok despite the okra being beat down. It will probably keep producing horizontally.
got soaked on way in, another dumper, am just close enough to storm that it keeps throwing off bands of serious rain

70°F and 1.24 inches rain. Sun trying to peak thru.

Florence pics looked ugly last night. Hope for respite.

80th Birthday lunch for friend in town. Then a couple errands.

Prayers for all

Be safe
Have a great day

That is a wild grapevine. It grew up in my backyard fence and I have been tending it for a few years now. {although I forgot to cut it back last year, or it wouldn't be that close to the house} It's in the top of the big oak in the backyard. It grew into a nearby cedar tree, then made the jump to the oak. I'm leaning toward ripping it all out. Grapes are alright, but nothing to write home about.

Back in from cutting lawn. Warm and sticky out there. Noticed that some trees are changing colors. A drab brown instead of the bright colors. Will have to wait and what kind of fall colors we get.

77 degrees here at 2:30 p.m. The NWS this morning forecast a 40% chance of rain. Well, about an hour ago a downpour arrived and I can see a bit more than a half inch in my gauge with just sprinkles still falling.

You mean I could have had a winery going all these years? Don't tell my wife. LOL

Must be a look alike. Obviously more research needed on my part. Whatever I have is a choker and creeper.
