PJ, some people are worse than pigs, relatives can be be the worst, they expect to be catered and taken care of by the “lucky ones”, that worked hard and made their own way.

Taking my daughter to lunch today, first time in years, use to do it a lot, I miss it.

Got get to the nursing home to see Mom today as well, might not get much else done, other than some phone calls.

PJS, I would be calling the police or sheriff about the home. Obviously they don't have any money, but IMO they should be punished.

I agree. Once upon a time in Virginia the apartment owners had a database they could check, a real black list of bad news renters, skip artists, etc.
But if not reported it's if it never happened. And they will surely do it again. Trick is to never let them in there in the first place. That's the hard part.
Actually cleaning up that mess will be a lot worse. Sorry PJ.

good morning all. Cut up chocolate brownies this morning that I added half a bar of some high end chocolate I was given, as thanks from one of the food pantry folks,
and I'm returning the thanks to them on distribution day this morning by bringing them a plate of the most chocolaty brownies they've ever had. Chocogasmic.
And none left for me...not on my diet. Well, QC demands checking the entire half inch from one end of the pan, the crunchy parts.
Man cannot live on granola alone...

Have a field to mow today and then some plant watering to do with water wagon. Looks like another lovely day, high of 89. Anything with an 8 in front of it in July is great.

74 degrees going for 91 this morning, with a 50% chance of rain, according to the NWS. Yesterday it was a 40% chance, and I guess some areas did get a little bit of rain, but not around here. The humidity made mowing yesterday morning a bit uncomfortable, but I got all of our lawn and the neighbor's front lawn, mowed, edged, trimmed, etc.

And this morning, my primary computer won't let me sign in, won't turn off, won't come on except the opening screen, and a blinking light indicates it's doing something, but I don't know what. So I've made an appointment to take it to Best Buy's Geek Squad later this morning.

Thanks Drew, she was always daddy’s girl, but she badly misses her mom. I can’t fix that, but when I lost my dad, Mom did all she could to fill the void, I need to do that for my kids.

Way, way back yonder; 1956 to be exact, I got into square dancing and really got to liking it (twice a week), even though I was never very good at it.:laughing: But that Fall, we moved to Texas and that was the end of my dancing.

I think your siding would be safe with the salt gun, Ron. It’ll barely put a hole in a sheet of aluminum foil, but it did scuff up what was left of the stain on a wooden table top I use outside. The video Don posted shoed the guy shooting himself in the hand, but I wouldn’t make a habbit of it...

I’m a charter member of the two-left-feet club, having bungled my way through several embarassing rounds of dance classes with various iterations of lady friends. I think I’d rather go to the dentist than sign up for another one, so I hope your adventures are good ones, Don.

Sounds like your uncle was badly taken advantage of, PJ, and now has a horrible mess on his hands. On one of the hoarder TV shows a few years back, a local volunteer group was contacted to help with the cleanup. Maybe there’s something like that in your area? An LDS friend of mine went to homes flooded out when levies broke in the Sacramento Delta areas a few years back to clean out the debris. It was done through his church, so there’s another possible source of help. If you end up getting roped into doing it, my friend said he used a scarf onto which he sprinkled cologne before tying it over his nose and mouth to help him deal with the stench. But hopefully it won’d come to that.

Made a few touch ups to the paint on that motorcycle frame yesterday. The idea to use paint instead of powder coat is already paying dividends because the touch ups blended in almost invisibly. Then I rounded up the parts for the forks, and bead blasted some of them to get off the oxides and leave a nice polished surface. Gave the same treatment to the rusted Honda gas cap, and used the same paint on it, which is very fuel resistant. Found the new set of bearings I’d ordered a while back, and will get those installed this morning before it gets too warm to work out there.

The big laptop is freaking out again, and attempts yesterday to revive it weren’t successful. I’ll have another go at it this afternoon, or maybe it’ll be siesta time?:laughing:

The low this morning was 50*, yesterday was overcast most of the day with a high in the low 80's. We did get another light shower in the afternoon about 2/10 of a inch. Today is going to be in the mid 80's with a 30% chance of showers this afternoon.

wngsprd, thanks I'll pass it on to all the neighbors. It still surprises me that Wyo is still the least populated state in the lower 48.

txdon, we had western dance lessons about 25 years ago. The dance lessons was a trade off for a fly tying class. I still tie flies but never dance.

Going in to town this morning for the wife's therapy and pick up stuff to do the 600 hr maintenance on the tractor. Hope to get that done in the next week or two.

When I was in elementary school, my Mother made me take ballroom dance classes, once a week for over a year. I hated it and was embarrassed that my friends would find out.

Ah but ...in high school, I was one of the few that could actually dance and would get asked to dance by the “pretty girls”.

So ........ go for it. Snake boots?
