Glad to see the sun the last two days after a Saturday/Saturday total of 9.08" of rain. Went up and mowed Ellen's yard then came home and mowed mine, her son was there, not sure why he didn't mow it, but I guess he needs a little motivation. Got to see several snakes during the process. My yard was in great shape for all the rain we've had.
Went to a concert in a church built in 1771, those old family boxes were not built for comfort! Sitting there on a board that predates the American Revolution sure made me wonder about the people that may have been there.

Shelled peas it was, delivered, and now back to the lawn, and weedeating.
Probably weedeat first, miserable job, then rest somewhat by riding around.
At least I'm off my feet. Pretty wet out still, going to get slimed.

Sitting there on a board that predates the American Revolution sure made me wonder about the people that may have been there.

It was only ten years ago our Quaker Meeting got long cushions for the bottoms of the wood benches.
Sit quietly on that hard perch for an hour, hard not to get the squirms.

Went to a visitation and memorial service yesterday for an old friend who died recently. Wife took it hard, as he had been like a second brother to her growing up. He was always a good guy. Worked as an EMT, was a Master Diver and instructor, and volunteered with a local underwater rescue/recovery team. 51 is too young.

Too young. Couple of my friends have recently gone too young.

The Bird-X seems expensive...is it better than just using cheap caulk to fill in the hole?

I have several tube of Tanglefoot I inherited from Mother’s place. She use it to keep Pigeons and Doves from nesting under her patio awning.

Finally got the new glass shower door installed in master bathroom. It was sure heavy, but seems to function great, waiting for the caulking to set was the hardest part. We also got the frost free hydrant replaced that was leaking, seems I must have walked back and forth from shop to mailbox and back a 100 times, sure did feel good to get those items done.

Weather is supposed to be in low 80s this week..

Partly cloudy 90F today.
Had a nice working weekend.
I collected the old lumber discarded from the dock repair and left over odds and ends and piled them in my truck to bring to the dump. I didn't feel good about throwing them so I used them to build this keyhole garden instead. It turned out OK.

I feel your pain, Eric. My punishment for daring to mow up to the property line with my only neighbor was a mere hundred feet or so of wire reinforced nylon rope they at one point used on a shoddy electric fence. This piece got picked up about twenty feet down hill from the line, on my side, and by the time I noticed it, it had tightly wrapped itself around the axle of the flail mower. What followed was a fair amount of time spent with a serrated blade pocket knife punctuated with torrents of profanity outlining he heritage and character of said neighbor. But I got off easy. Last year, it was fifty feet of fence wire, which required an extended session with a pair of diagonal cutters.ullinghair::banghead::shocked:
