Good evening all. 53F for the start, clear, and calm. Wind picked up near lunch, sky stayed clear no rain in gauge, and high temp of 77F. bike ride today followed by trip to bike shop in Sherman and Red Lobster. Got new mirror mounted, bike is loaded on group truck, 4 of us going to Muenster for 100km ride tomorrow morning.

Wife and I went out for dinner, local seafood buffet. Prices up again, but worth it to spend an evening with the love of my life.

Good morning. It is still a little on the cool side here, my wife keeps shuffling trays of seedlings in and out of the greenhouse to escape overnight frost. Got to bring the ewes and lambs in to the pen for the first time this year for worming. It's going to be a muddy mess up there as the pond at the top is still overflowing the bank.

Rick, I know nothing about mowers that have missed out on that evolutionary thing call a steering wheel, but that's certainly a very nice flatbed trailer.

Bird, if it was difficult to decide between Denton or Lewisville, don't wait for your 54th, surprise Mrs Bird and try the other restaurant soon. She's got to be worth it after all that time together. Happy anniversary to you both.

Randy, great to hear they let you out, now enjoy any pampering that comes your way while you take it steady.

Morning guys, slept well until 4, then restless. Can’t sleep on my right side yet, too much junk still in there. Is getting better, a little dehydrated feeling.

Need to visit mom today, she’ll be going nuts since I haven been since Tuesday. Ballgame early, car show late, all will see me in my pop up chair with a cold drink.

Full moon out last night, nice to wake up to that awhile ago and look outside.

Lots of hoeing to do today, wish my new hoe had come in. Wrist wraps on both wrists this morning as a little insurance, soft collar,
waist belt, I look like a Michelin Man but it will help this morning. By afternoon too hot and everything gets peeled off.
Really hope my helper shows up today, he can help me get the cultivators on the Super A to clean up the corn. Less for me to hoe...

Cannot see out the doors or windows it is so foggy. Almost 8am and only had one cup of coffee and no outside chores done. Officially slacking....
More bad news from family and friends. Some passed while we were away. Said they did not want to trouble us with their grief. I don't get that...but sort of understand. It's been a rough time for some and people handle things in their own way. Wife sending respects and condolences. Hope she can find something positive to focus on.
Today I need to mow. With all the rain the grass is in crazy mode. Need to hunt down some ground hogs too. Seems the smoke bomb treatment missed two. I watched one go half way across the pasture looking to get back home. I had no idea they ranged that far. Had a shot but it was right on my neighbors property line so I did not take it.
