Don, that's a shame about the building. Looks like a nervous place to be inside. Is that a Titan tape measure?

Don't know, it has my late brothers company logo only on it.

Don, how many berries did your reinforcements pick? What percent of the crop is ripe? Did you see any of those snakes I dropped off? :)

They picked about a half gallon each. Only 5% of the crop is ripe. No snakes encountered while berry picking, I've heard snakes are like homing pigeons, so they are probably back at your place by now. :D

Don, do you have an approx size of the room the bead board came out of? The area I would need to cover is about 16' x 16'. Don't blame you for not wanting to count the boards in the building.....wifey said---"would we have to go in that creepy place to get it?" I told her "yea, and?" the rusty metal roof is pretty cool too, lots of uses for 'weathered panels', just a job to get them. What general area of central TX are you located?

Plenty to cover 16'X16'. I took the wood down from several rooms walls and ceilings. Located Central Texas, Lee County, about 60 miles east of Austin.

Don, I can't remember from last year, but do you make a crust for the cobbler?

My wife made an improved cobbler topping today. (i like it better than the one I used yesterday)
From Cathy Fishers cook book on a topping for apple crisp. It works very well on cobblers:

6 Medjool Dates (or 12 Deglet Noor dates)
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon apple juice (or applesauce)
1 3/4 cups old-fashion rolled oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon

It's like a soft granola topping for the cobbler - excellent! Just cook it with the cobbler.

This is incredible, we've now gone TWO whole days without a drop of rain and this morning is starting off with another dose of full sun. It has finally dried out enough to finish what is traditionally a winter pastime - muck spreading time today.

Kyle, if I'd had active speakers I would have gone for that pre-amp instead. The WXA-50 has basic analog and optical inputs and inherits all the streaming support of their more expensive amps, so as I'm content to leave vinyl back with other good memories from the last century, it does all I need. At the end of the day it's the sound that matters and that is incredibly good for such a small package, though I must admit that with only a few coloured LEDs on the front, it is never going to have the same visual appeal as a full display, let alone a VU meter that flicks up to warn that your ears will soon be bleeding :)

L4N  I'll be thinking of you with a little envy next time I'm digging out for a gatepost by hand.

32 right now...high about 50.

Plans today...haircut this morning, than pick up a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 handgun I'd ordered and get the few bucks back (after paying for the Mark IV) from selling another gun. My dealer also just sold another gun (an old S&W Model 17 .22LR revolver), but it'll take a week or so to get the money for that one.

I sold my backhoe yesterday, so I'll have to rig it to the tractor today so we can load it on the buyer's trailer. Deal went real smooth. I had three guys interested...and two of them came yesterday afternoon...first guy bought it...second guy came just after the deal was made. I felt bad for the 2nd guy since he's driven 80some miles and had his trailer rigged to his pick up. Well, the buyer can't use the mounting plates as he has a 3320 (my tractor is a 4520).. I told the 2nd guy about another 48 backhoe on CL and I'd give him a sweet deal on the mounting plates when I removed them.
As soon as I got back in the house, I e-mailed the 3rd guy telling him the backhoe was sold.

Of course, although I haven't used the backhoe in over a year...I'm sure I'll have need of it as soon as it's gone. Fortunately, my neighbor has a mini-excavator...just in case.

Good morning all, 32 this morning going to 62 and sunny. Mowed and ran the weed eater yesterday. Ran out of gas but had a little in the can to get done. Hope to get some more bush/tree trimming done to finish out the load on the truck and get that to the dump soon. Cut wife's hair the other day, she says she likes it.

Prayers sent to those in need, have a great day. Ed
