Got a new battery powered clock mechanism for an old outdoor clock. It worked marvelously so now I can tell what time it is on the deck. On the cheap to $10 on amazon not too bad

Don, coons have been known to travel up to 75 or 100 miles to return to "home". Congrats on being med free :cool2: :drink:

RNG good luck starting the bike, I always had starting issues without strong spark!

Kyle first flat since changing to Schwalbe Super Marathons. However may have learned the trick to changing rear tire with fender :dance1:

Prayers for all especially for David and family, Ed and family, Rip and family.

Farmer, thanks for the corn lesson info. I did not know all that. They have planted corn here in the Brazos river bottom and it's already 6-8" high. Hope your family is doing well.

You’re welcome. I can believe that. Probably one of the first places in US to plant every year. Planters will start rolling here when soil temps get around 60*. Some maybe before. Oh how I miss row crops. Things have changed so much in the 8 years I’ve been away from them. Would love to get back into them some day.

Family is doing good. Oldest son is enrolled in kindergarten for the fall. He’s really picking up the speech device. Youngest son is starting to talk and is trying to be the biggest helper. That’s helping oldest to spit out a few more words but they are still sporadic. Oldest is as passive as they come. Youngest is a brawler. So far. Oldest has a foot and 30 pounds on youngest but you can’t tell the youngest that.

How’s yours?

You guys make me smile. And my spelling sucks.
Raggedy Ann was wife’s name for herself to her surgeon due to all four extremities and her pelvis being broken and she must have been floppy like a Raggedy Ann doll (rag doll) when she came into hospital. Her real name is Sophie and tomorrow she marks 65 trips around the sun. I am blessed with 33 of them with me.

No frost today and warmed up enough for my ears to not complain too much that heat loss mitigation for my head is only a cap instead of beanie hat.

5 million posts was on schedule until Ellen took Randy off for a little adventure.

David, 33 years should be more than enough for you to start each day with a huge grin of disbelief at your good luck when you wake up each morning. The way you write, we can all tell you found a real doll even before she became Raggady Ann. Happy birthday Sophie.

32 going to 49...should get a good start to melting the 5" of snow from yesterday.

Happy Birthday Sophie!

Went tracking for a couple of miles during the heaviest of the snow, but since it had started in the early morning, found only a few snow filled fox tracks. Did see a great horned owl fly out from a tall pine. Probably go back out this morning, but much of the snow clumps in the trees fell and pockmarked the ground snow, so the fields will be best.

Need to take wife to get stitches removed from 2 toes where she had bone spurs removed last week. Can't get it wet - she's only been able to take "bird baths" in the sink. Hoping she'll heal well and we can go to the mountains hiking for wildflower season.

Good morning all, 30 here going to 46 and partly sunny. Had about 8 in of snow yesterday and then the temp rose and it sagged.

Sophie, Happy birthday, Prayers sent your way for the pain.

LS, hang in there and take it easy, prayers headed your way.

Have a great day, prayers sent for all in need. Ed

Poured first cup of coffee. 23° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 42° with partly cloudy skies. Not much snow melted yesterday. Got the Costco trip in yesterday. But disappointed that 2 of the items on my list have been replaced by another product. Off to Sam's club today for those 2 items. I did manage to get a away with spending less than $50. :D No other plans for today.

Mostly, sorry about the flat. Changing rear tire with fender tips are needed here.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

Happy birthday Sophie and congrats on your life together David.

No drama, no hotel and no Kyle, no speedboat. Had about an inch or so here, maybe 2. Effected driving moderately last 20 miles. No big deal here. Hit a couple of bursts but nothing lasting.
Sun angle is so high it’s got to really bring in cold air to lay much now.

Buckeye, sorry for the snow there, it’s really a PITA this time of year.

Andrew, enjoy that mechanical mule. I really like that rig.

Drew, my raccoon relocation program is spiritual. I send them from my little piece of heaven to the Rainbow Bridge, via Ruger 10/22.

Did y’all sit home and post all day?
90 new posts!

Happy birthday TBN, my favorite internet meeting house.

Sincere prayers for this group, indeed I consider you family.
You’re all invited to the next taco night I have, Don, send me your veggie based taco recipe so I can cover you guys, too.

Drew, to answer your question, Ellen is still working, she’s only 59 but has 39 years with Perdue farms. She’s the Senior Settlement Officer. She makes sure guys like our resident chicken farmer, get paid. She could have retired 9 years ago and has almost as much time off as she has to work, but she likes it.

AHA! Now we know how to get Farmer more money! 80,000 chicks? Nah, looked like 10 percent more. And have Ellen pay for Farmer's fans while she's at it.
Good to have someone on the inside...

Showered and shaved and first cup of coffee is working slowly. Still stuck in first gear. And second is a long throw...

I was thinking more like my new building produces 80000 birds every few weeks! No offense to farmer, but charity begins at home! LOL
