Got my lights in the building this morning, so I guess it痴 ready to use ever how it evolves.

I知 still laughing at the caller ID on TV when the phone rings, (illegal telephone Scam) 410-430-xxxx

Snow has made it here before lunch. Maybe some seat time soon.

Me too! Oh, mine is pear snow...:D

I got some seat time too, in between rain storms shot down the road to the corner, where a little carport place is, and my
new garden shed came in. He wrote the specs on a napkin and three days later I got a three by three by five pressure treated lumber shed
for 300 bucks, including a green metal roof. Some parts made well, others not. I'll go back over it with SS screws anyway, I really don't like nails.
Shed was heavy due to treated wood, challenging sliding off pallet but it wound up in the right spot.
I had to use my tractor cushion in between the shed doors and the tractor, guy put it on backwards...should have let the bare side out facing the tractor but of
course he wanted to "show it". No matter, I wrapped it up pretty well and got lucky on the way home, not one other car behind and only one coming towards me.
Very hard to see around the shed, glad when i made the turn into my place.

Will install the fence charger and battery in here, on one side, and the other side for hand tools. Solar panel on roof to charge the battery.
That I'll get to when I have time...easy to cart back to barn and in a few hours have it fully recharged but hope that solar panel will reduce or eliminate need for
that. Concerned that poor DC controller would cook my battery. Am spoiled by AC smart chargers.

DIL is on her 2nd Hyundai Elantra. Totalled 1st one after about 5 years and didn’t hesitate to get another as the replacement. Curious, I purposely rented one during our recent trip and put about 1000 miles on it including drive from Az to Ca. Quite impressed. Good ride and felt good on the highway, even at 90. Used my iPhone via CarPlay for navigation.

The temperature got all the way up to 59 this afternoon, and the sun finally peeked out just for a little while. After 7.06 inches of rain with 11 rain days last month, we hope it starts to dry out a bit. So I took both cars to the car wash this afternoon.

Snowing here, 5 inches ? Surprised me, I left home this morning in a sweatshirt, it was a light rain. Now snow, already a inch on the ground. Really a wet, slushy snow, going to be a pain to move. Staying home!! :)

We occasionally get some talk about the Michigan UP hiving off. Same situation, almost no tax based. Biggest employers are the government, either roads, police, school, or colleges in the area. My grandfather left the copper country in 1919. There were not many jobs then. The UP lost population in every census of the 20th century. I think that has resumed, beautiful country, but pretty much barren of economic activity.

Here it’s common for tax assessment to be about 70% of true value, always been that way.

It used to be that way here, but they passed a state several years ago requiring 100% of actual value. Now of course, they miss their guess very frequently.

I think we got everything battened down before the winds come in tonight. At least it stopped raining.

Ron, I know it's a pain, but pretty snow. Not fair that Buppies has sent it all your way.

Not hurting yet. But winds are supposed to come up later. With the heavy snow. Something is going to break.

I think Randy and JB are helping him.

We spent the PM starting the long "changeover process" to a very stable local/regional banking institution that actually has living/breathing seemingly conscious representatives from a "friendly, 'customer oriented'" national bank that has no customer service nor a kiosk in the "hinterland" of western MA. Having to remove the contents of our "safety deposit" box due to that branch's closure was the final pinprick.

I am still seeing weather models' predicting anywhere form ~3" to ~23" of total snowfall depending on phasing, storm track, and rain/snow mixing for this area. The predicted drop in "bombing" barometric air pressure the last time I looked was 974mB = :censored: strong system. This system is predicted to become strong enough to change the existing dynamics and in ways drive itself   Somewhat atypical NE weather forecast. Next week still looks good for a decent "snow event." We are prepped for whatever comes this way. The "hype" is revving up.

I admit that I did do a couple of moves of the  "Snow Dance" when we got home. It was pretty ugly "dancing" in that melted ground surface.

Wifey is starting to ask questions about our solar panels being "diverted" to home based storage. And even better is also asking about residential generators. We already have propane..... This "discussion" has been a very longterm process. I may be guilty of subliminal "shaping";).

On the 8th it might be a southern based snow to begin with.

They are are all over the place with your snow but it will be a very powerful storm very low pressures and may stick around for a while due to Greenland block. Think colder temperatures to last thru mid month at least

Rain is over here sun to close out the day but waiting on the wind which will be powerful so they say. 35 mph wind up to 60mph gusts and I'll bet the generator will not start

I'm really trying to get snow in Va not much luck I'm afraid so far. The Fat Lady is singing the party's over and its close the 8th thru 10th is our last shot

Buppies- Since I succumbed to the "illness" this has been one of the most complex storm systems ever. Tendrils of "Magic Smoke" are still wafting up and out of the ear channels from all the fried neurons. Another "Winter Hurricane." All the hype is misplaced.

Be it 4"'s or 2' of snow; it still takes about the same amount of time to move snow stuff around this place.

Nope but it sounds like a chemical free roach repellent! Play it loud and they leave. :)

Proud Papa moment. My 10 year old daughter with autism made the A & B Honor roll this semester. (We took her out of public school last year for a big reason and put her back into 4th grade this year) At first we were all worried about her being behind and reading on grade level, but she passed her reading test a couple of weeks ago. So, she is caught up.
