63 out going to 80 today.
not enjoying but for sure drinking a half cup of black coffee this morning.
Annual physical and labs in two hours, going to be a stomach grumbling morning.

Concerned over A1C and PSA, those wonderful little acronyms that can create constant issues.

Then to breakfast, food shopping and home to work on machinery.

RNG, glad you had a great trip.

Eric, great pics but melancholy. Why would a mother ewe leave her third child?
Did the lamb ask for a smart phone too early?;)

NWS says we still may get more rain today, but right now it appears to have all been over since about 6 p.m. yesterday. With rain off and on yesterday, I figure I've gotten about 5.01" for the month of February; most of it yesterday. Only got .15" last month. The temperature yesterday ranged from 31 to 34, and it's 31 this morning. With the warmer weather we've had lately, before this last cold spell, I've noticed trees budding, green grass (and weeds) getting started, etc. Need dry weather now so I can get started on the yard work.

Yesterday’s 77 is looking like 55 and falling with strong NE winds. Cloudy and yucky. Arm is sore as heck, kept me awake 15-20 seconds last night!
Gotta run to an early doctor appointment.

Setting on a plane in North Carolina heading to New Jersey and Delayed due rains. Hope I don稚 misconnect and miss my ride home to Houston. We are Closing on the Ranch tomorrow at 1100 and have to get to the bank today to get closing funds.

Kitty Hawk is one of my favorite places in the world.
Sitting in doctors office waiting and killing time.

Well Drew, looks like we have the same agenda.

BEF- Activity even though painful afterwards is better than inactivity and still having those aches&pains. am happy that you and the wife had a good time.

Eric- Good luck with the rejected lamb. Years ago we rented an apartment at a "working" "hobby farm." The landlady raised sheep. It always seemed to me that the ewes waited for the worst possible weather to drop their lambs. A couple of the ewes were not good mothers initially..

Roy- I am happy to read you made your drive on I91 w/o incident. There was nasty fog there yesterday morning which you probably drove through.

Ron- I still have those nasty looking snow piles around here. It looks like I have more "divots" than I originally believed. Good luck with the P/T.

Daugen- I hope that your physical and bloodwork result in no real surprises.

Randy- Take care of your arm.

Kittyhawk- Good luck with your flights today and especially good luck tomorrow.

Ed- I've smelled a couple, but no skunks seen yet this year.

40F earlier this AM and the temperature is starting to drop. The NWS has issued a winter hazard alert and is predicting a rain to sleet to nuisance snow (2') later today with periods of rain/mixed precipitation through the weekend. I do not mind snow. I am not fond of freezing rain and sleet.

I hope everything in the RIP household is OK.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

I hope that everyone has a decent or at least manageable day today.

34°F and rain this morning, going up to 49° today. More rain again tonight. This is a good thing.

Great pics, RNG. Sounds like a great trip as well. Been many years since I've seen an R80 Paris-Dakar, probably early '90s at BMW Motorrad of St. Louis while I was there for service on my R100RT. Fun-looking bikes.

Congrats on the new arrivals, Eric.

You are definitely putting some of us to shame, Drew. I was proud that I got out and cleared the ditch last weekend. Maybe I do need to start a garden this year after all.

Spent about two hours last evening inside the new studio headphones. They are definitely an upgrade from the old ones. Nice clear sound, very little coloration, and comfortable. I think I'll keep them.

Good Morning!!!! 40F @ 5:30AM. Rain showers early with scattered thunderstorms arriving for the afternoon. High 46F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

Rain is good news but you know it won't amount to much when Wunderground refuses to name a predicted accumulation. Hope it's enough to at least settle the dust on the driveway. Going for mail yesterday the buggy was engulfed in dust when I stopped to let the gate opener work. That's very uncharacteristic for February, usually a wet month.

Good luck with the closing, KH. Bet yer excited to git 'er done!

For some reason, USAF pilots like to train in the canyon below the Father Crowley Overlook, just a little west of Panamint Springs. CA 190 is a fabulous motorcycle road as it climbs out of the valley there, and the pilots delight in startling hapless riders/drivers with their low altitude moc strafing runs and tail stands. I suppose it was too windy for them this time around, though, as the only thing in the sky were clouds and an occasional snowflake. Not much grows out there, either, just a bunch of creosote, mesquite, and sage, very similar to the Middle East where the skills those pilots are practicing could save their lives.

Speaking of yesterday's mail, it contained the brake shoes for the old BMW, and this time they fit. The brake lining was also a uniform thickness all along the length of the shoe instead of the continuous taper exhibited the first time around. I'd guessed pretty well setting up the brake linkage and only had to make one adjustment, and now that end is done. Still have some tweaking to do on the twin leading shoe front, but I did manage to figure out the cable routing and how it was to be connected.

Got everything unpacked and threw the sleeping bag in the washer to get rid of the salt. Still need to figure out how to do the same for the tent, but I don't think all the strings and straps would be too happy being tumbled around in there. More likely I'll just set it up and use the garden hose on it, but that'll have to wait for warmer weather.

Off for a grocery run this afternoon, and will likely stop by the mechanic's place. Can't say I'm looking forward to it as it's always such a disappointing experience.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!
