Toppop- I was thinking of you when I saw this blue flower at Villas Calettas. I hope they help regenerate more pleasant memories.
We stopped at the Tarcoles River Bridge. It was crowded with touristas and the locals as well. They do not have dead chicken chum here anymore, but those crocs will investigate anything that falls off the bridge. The biggest, meanest, and most dominant croc is called "Mike Tyson" by the locals, and I believe the biggest female croc is called "Lady Gaga."

There is also another croc now called Donald Trump. I have no real clue as to his position in the croc hierarchy, but it is not one of the dominant males (maybe it's the little claws?). I saw this cross down on the shore near the crocs. I thought that it may be a marker for some loco who fed himself to the crocs, but on picture review it may be a sprouting coconut.
We made it to San Jose without getting lost and within normal travel time parameters. The highways are pretty decent (4 lane mostly) and there is decent signage. A lot of tolls = PITA. Exiting tolls anywhere is always a pedal to the medal event. The Tuscon held its own.
Back in CT tomorrow (late night arrival). Then home and back to my boring and picture-less existence.
And the Saint Bernard(s) quest begins.
I am so saddened by another mass shooting; especially the public schools. Costa Rica seems safer and safer despite the poverty.
My prayers, +thoughts and wishes for all affected by this most recent violence, and those - impacted by sickness, aging, and daily living challenges.
Pura Vida
