Good morning!!!!

The low this morning was 27*, yesterday's high was 55*. Today is going to be a copy of yesterday. With the high in the 50's and sunny.

Thinking about changing the oil in the tractor today and reworking a bench I made a few years ago. The back is to straight, it needs a little curve in it to be comfortable.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

39 and rain, going to 52.

Triffids - the big hoopla over this past summer's full eclipse got me thinking about that movie.

Now that I've looked up Proof setting, I need to check our oven for it.

Mowed a bunch of maple leaves in mulch mode late yesterday. Hate to mulch them up because they are so colorful on the ground,...but they do pack together when they get wet, so wanted to beat the rain. I use to spend hours raking, but decided that they break down so well after mulching, that they are better left on the lawn. Not all have fallen, so will repeat one more time.

Randy, any car or air shows coming up soon? We had a low flying vertical take-off and landing plane fly over...I guess on the way to Fort A.P. Hill or Quantico.
No shows that I知 aware of until spring. We get Ospreys and a lot I& other military aircraft here, they use the local airport to practice.
Cool and rainy, in other words November.

39°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 48° today.

Had one of those weekends where I didn't feel like I really got anything done, and yet had checked off all but one item on my honey-do list. Met my best friend and his lady at a local Cracker Barrel restaurant for breakfast yesterday morning. They are joining us for Thanksgiving this year, and we got together to get a handle on the menu and who's making what. Good time with old friends. Need to do that kind of stuff more often.

65°F and only .04 inches rain last 24 hours.

Nice relaxing day yesterday.
No big plans for today, probably a good time for a bit of clean up.

Be safe
Have a great day

That reminds me of a story, Randy. A friend of mine I've known since kindergarten is a now-retired Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sergeant. His last two years before retirement he decided he would get out from behind the desk and got himself assigned as crew chief on an Osprey. I thought he was crazy to actually want to fly in one of those things, but ... he is a Marine, after all. They had some mechanical issues on one flight, and had to put down at a small airport outside of a small town along the East Coast. Needing a part, they got stuck there for a week waiting for the part to arrive. The locals found out what was going on, and started bringing them home-cooked meals every day. Gotta love that.

Well, there goes all the fun.

Ghost in the basement didnt get me this morning. Probably the ghost of the old washing machine that now sits unconnected, awaiting its outcome. Wife wants me to make a hookup for it in my utility room, to wash the really dirty stuff. Got a lot of work to make that happen, but some of that work needs done anyways.
Still got an old boiler than made heat pre geothermal. Then i want to move water heater to other side of room, next to geo unit, so it can help heat water. That will free up space next to a drain pipe that i can hook washer discharge into. Just gotta play plumber again to make it happen.

We have quarters, in the big workshop, that we lived in on weekends before we built our house at the Ranch. The quarters include a combination bathroom, shower, laundry room. If I get really dirty I can shower down there and wash all my work clothes there as well. This keeps everything clean up at the house and me out of trouble, for the most part.

Had a great weekend, got things put away in shop, including travel trailer.. Almost ready for winter.. serviced snowblower, it has sat with fuel since last winter, started on first pull.. made sure it was near door, full of fuel and ready to go when we get snow. Went to get haircut after church yesterday, then lunch (just wife and I)... shopped a bit after lunch.. had a great time.

the only good thing I can say about this morning is that it's over.
2 hours in the chair and $1100 later I escaped with my life.
Considered good to be a well rooted individual, right?
Well I rang the bell today. Not the normal three roots/canals.
Not the abnormal four which I had one of. But five roots to be
drilled out. Geez....but I give the guy credit, and he was a young Chinese doc
apparently just out of school, boy was he good. Gentle, articulate, constantly explained what he was doing, and
gave me another shot when it was clear I needed it.

I promptly went to my local greasy spoon close to my home for lunch, while my mouth was still numb, and had a fried porkchop lunch with boiled potatoes and
black eyed peas, the latter with big chunks of something just yummy, salty and greasy of course. Talk about needing some comfort food...;)
When that lidocaine wears off, it's going to feel like I had a 6 inch post hole digger in my mouth.
ok, my moanmeter just pegged and I'll be quiet now.

Rain has left but it's pretty wet out, good day to cool it. Tomorrow I'll go to the Massey dealer and get my tractor back.
