He doesn't like being told what to do, and especially by women. Sadly, in that respect, he's very much like his father. He's been developing the same attitudes that he's always said he hated about how his dad treats people. And yet...
We're both befuddled by it, honestly.

Sorry to hear that PJ. He was born a few generations too late to be able to ignore women in authority.

Good morning all. 54 degrees, almost the high of the day, and like many others, freeze warnings out for tonight.
Antibiotics felt like they kicked in last night around 10pm; took about 36 hours to kick in, as I was told would happen. This will get worse before it gets better, always nice to hear. Mouth is still swollen but as long as it slowly goes down, fine. At this point I don't know if I need a root canal or a tooth pulled. Expensive business and never any fun.

Need to call MF dealer and hope to go pick up the little Massey. Dealer was having a hard time finding instructions on the adjustment of hydro trans, better them than me.

Not a bad start to the day, windy, yet plenty of sunshine and enough green leaves left on many trees to make it still feel like early autumn.

With my birthday having passed a few weeks ago, I finally got around to trying out my superb present, the little 28 gauge Ritzzini. It was all I had hoped for, light to carry, a pleasure to shoot and with the added bonus that the diminutive cartridge cases took up a lot less space in my pocket.

That meant I also got to unpack and make use of the cleaning kit that my wife gave me so many years ago. Let me know if anyone wants a Browning 12 gauge, I don't think I will have need for anything with such big holes in the tubes ever again :)

Good morning all. 43 his morning and the high is supposed to be 43 as well. Low tonight is supposed to be 17. I guess this must be November after all. Vacuumed 2/3 of the shop and no more dust in the vac than it was when I had just started. :D Hope to get the big dust collector together, or at least started on it.

Randy, Glad to see you posting like you are, still sending prayers your way.

Drew, prayers sent your way, I remember a couple of those and they were no fun.

Eric, glad you like the little 28, never even seen one that I know of but sounds fun. How does it shoot compared to a 410?

Have a great day. Ed

Ed I know you asked Eric but I have a 28 as well Remington model 48 lists of fun to shoot less kick than a 410 in my opinion

About 3am this morning roaring winds w/heavy rain  now temp dropping winds 15 mph,not going to be t- shirt day outside nor the rest of the weekend.

Poured first cup of coffee. 14° with partly clouding skies this morning. Heading to 28° with partly cloudy skies. Wind did a good job of sending many of the leaves to neighbors. But not good enough. Will have to get Trak-Vac out soon. Going to stay inside today. Except for trip to the local Pet Expo. Always enjoy watching the dog agility activities.
Randy and Buckeye, glad you made it to Dr appointments.
Drew, glad the meds a kicking in.
Buppies, interesting project.
Good Morning All.

I got a chuckle reading that the 28 ga had less kick than a .410! My .410 and my .22 rifles are about equal. Any less recoil and you wouldn’t know you were shooting ! LOL

40’s and falling through the day with high winds.

Good Morning!
Temperature this fine frosty morning is a cool 2F and going to a high of 19 with a 30% chance of snow to add to the 2" we got yesterday. Wind WNW 10mph.

I've been a busy boy preparing for winter. I got the new portable garage up on the platform from the old garage-in-a-box. I had to extend one side of the platform a couple of feet.

I went and picked up my new ride on lawn tractor 2 weeks ago and promptly cut the back yard over the septic tank down to 4" I will rake it in the spring.
The mower and lawn sweeper fit perfectly on the old boat trailer I converted into a float. I will make a ramp for them in the spring. Right now I drive the lawn mower with the sweeper attached across a couple of 2x10 planks and onto the trailer. Getting off will be a challenge, but nothing I can't handle.

We had a bit of a scare with the dog. Turns out she is diabetic. She lost about 10 pounds before we noticed she was losing weight. Checked her sugar and and it was abnormally high....18 where it should be about 7. We've got her on Lantis insulin now. 10 units twice a day, morning and evening. Once we get her regulated then we will cut the insulin down. Her losing weight will be a good thing, to a point. She was 95 lbs, which I think is a little heavy for a Border Collie and Golden Retriever cross. She is slowly getting some of her old drive back and not sleeping as much.

That is it, a total update from in October when I was on here last.

Have a good day all.

2 degrees Bill, Brrrrrrr. Winter sure is here.

Leaves are everywhere, magnolias are pretty but you have to clean up after them.

this recent rain should have helped my grass seed, nothing like a two day drizzling rain.

Good morning! 50˚ cloudy heading to 65 as the Norther fizzles out.

Drew glad your meds are finally kicking in. Last time I felt like a tooth needed pulling the dentist said it was my sinus. Of course I did not have a swollen face.

The window guy came out yesterday and broke out the second pane of the double pane window to install the new double pane window. We are now ready for the cold weather. I took the window $420 invoice to the insurance agent and before I got home I got a recording that my claim is being processed.

40 going to 44. Very foggy earlier, burning off well as the wind has picked up...19 or 20 tonight.

Looking4new, glad you found your dog's problem...I didn't know dogs could have diabetes.

BEF, sorry to hear you need surgery.

Eric, nice looking gun and cleaning set. My FIL shoots an old Browning A5 12 gauge and loves it. Most of our hunting requires a 12...mine is a Benelli 3.5 inch, occasional bird hunting with a 20.

25°F and mostly clear skies this morning, going up to 43° today. Chilly, but no frost this morning.

Looks like a fantastic setup, Eric. I've never shot a 28ga. When my Wife was looking at shotguns before we were married, we looked at 20ga, 28ga, and .410. She knew she didn't like any 12ga she'd ever shot, and wanted something more manageable for her small size (just under 5'2" and 115 lbs). She rented a few at a local indoor range, and decided on 20ga. I bought her a Remington 870 Express youth model. She liked it, but wanted a little more weight out front, so I found a slightly longer barrel for it. I also bought a 20ga Lee Loadall and loaded some low-recoil rounds for her. She loves it. It's now her go-to gun for critter problems.

Sunrise over Clinton County IL this morning. Have a great day, fellas.

The low this morning was 34*, yesterday's high was in the mid 50's. Today's going to be in the low 50's and partly cloudy. Might get some wind also.

daugen.. Glad the meds are doing their job.

Eric.. That looks like a nice setup. I have a Savage model 24 over and under, 22 mag and 20 ga. It's a fun gun to shot, I hope you have fun with yours.

I told a neighbor that I would feed her animals for a few days. But the way she does it is a lot of work. And she isn't very organized. Something that should take 20 minutes is going to take about a hour.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

68°F and no rain

Off to Hilo town this morning. Breakfast with wife, errands.

Be safe
Have a great day

28F and cloudy with the occasional snow squall. Overnight low last night hit 26F. Looks like we will have chilly temps for the next several days before it warms back up into the 40's and eventually a high of 50F by next Friday.

Spent a good part of the last couple of days working on a friend's driveway which had erosion problems and was in pretty rough shape.

That friend is stopping by here in a bit to give me a hand lifting the LPGS frame back up on the welding table.

Back into winter mode ...
